Am looking for old used manure spreader that I may repair. Will be using it on my small farm. Would rather have one that I would pull with tractor and wheel on spreader would. Cause the spreader to do the spreading

It seems you've come to those famous crossroads, where you have to decide if you want to go ahead with the overhaul, or write off your loss and possibly reclaim your money by parting it out.

From personal experience, I'd suggest selling the tractor for parts.

It's sad to see so many old tractors die like this.

I have a 40 hp Foton tractor and the speed sensor for the power takeoff has gone out. Anyone know where I can get parts to replace it? What kind of signal you get from the signal - voltage or milliamps? Any info would be helpful

I have used the draft control on numerous occasions.
This problem just came up a few weeks ago after the tractor had sat for a mouth or two.
The lift lever will only lift the 3 pt. hitch arms a few inches. in order to get ground clearance for an implement the draft control lever must be raised almost to the top position.

I'm sure you know this, but

-tractor tires are made to different specs than those for other vehicles

-you can look for Yanmar rims at tractor salvage yards

-it's OK to have a F/R rolling-size mismatch as long as you never put it in 4 except on a slippery surface

My guess is without pictures it will be hard for anyone to help. Not sure have seen any conversation on your equipment. That being said most mounting systems are simple and doubt you would have re-installed it wrong by much and the drive belt stayed on pulleys. Some things that it could be, tires need inflating, something is binding the deck or lift where it can not raise fully and my first thought was...you are hitting a limit of the design of the equipment. I know some mowers just are not to me designed to lift the deck as high as they should be. The older snappers where were very popular here were such a design.

You have not bought a dog. I bought one and have found it to be a fantastic machine given it's size. I have already posted on this forum, regarding the operation and running of it. I have an original SERVICE MANUAL and an INSTRUCTION MANUAL for the HB 501. I have been asked for a copy of them. This morning I obtained a quote to have both of these copied and compiled into a book each. The set-up cost for the service manual (120 pages) $35. Each copy after that would be $15. The set-up cost for the instruction manual (54 pages)$20. Each copy after that $10. Postage would cost $15 for both. If several owners are interested they could share the set-up costs and get them both for a reasonable price. Hope that is helpful. Best regards

I have Kubota with hydro trans and I only shift the trans with clutch depressed. Too simple not to try that to me. Might not solve issued but it may help it travel just the slight distance more it needs to fully engage. You are NOT on hard surface when doing this are you? If so the four wheel drive is likely binding and that is putting load on it and helping it kick out maybe saving the four wheel drive.

Have a tc33 with 2100 hours. It is now leaking fuel around i think its the injector pump. Plate with 4 lines that run to the injectors. There is two bolts that hold down each line. That is were it is leaking. Is there a oring on the line that could be bad. Also does the bolt have a special socket? 10mm to big 9 mm to small 3/8 5/16 do not fit either?

York rakes are one of the strongest we have worked with. I'd give it a try and not worry to much about it as we haven't seen them bent up and the teeth they use are the best in the industry. We often are matching there teeth for other makes that don't hold up and people often wind up with York teeth on the whole rake! Would have been cheaper to buy that make to begin with! If you are worried about the frame leave the frame short on the top link and it will dump before you could ever hurt it!

Lyle,

It's very possible that your tractor just happened to be manufactured during the model year change-over.

Just as example, my Ford F250 pickup is listed by Ford as a 1997-1/2. Changes were made mid-year during the production run.
