Windows 8? No, an octogenarian with very limited computer skills and prone to mess stuff up? Ohhhhh Yeah. Big time!!

Except for the 23" screen part, I solved almost exactly the same problem for my folks.

An iPad. Point and shoot, period, no mucking about, everything just a finger poke away. It is everything in one, email, news, TV, GPS & back up camera in their motorhome, even their telephone back to Canada when they're in Florida for the winter or elsewhere wandering the continent.

Thanks Dennis...I agree. Problem was a broken connection from the alternator to the wire harness. Cut off the old lug and crimped on a new one. The issue is now resolved.

I'm looking to hook up my model 31 tiller to my Jd 212 manual lift. Tractor is stock with no rear lift yet. What parts do I need to attach this implement. Any pics, diagrams, or part numbers would be a huge help. God bless america

just finished final assembly. gas pouring out the bottom of carb. put a new needle and seat in it last year. looks like it time to rebuild the carb again. p. s. dont put permatex on carb gasket. that just ruined my gasket.

I'm about 3 hours northeast of you, near Lake Simcoe.

The mower size is a coin toss, in heavy stuff the tractor will like a 4' unit a lot better, BUT, other than the first pass you can always just move over a bit and cut less than 5' per pass. This gives you the option to use the full 5' in light stuff though.

The other consideration though is price & availability, 5'ers are really common, you will likely pay as much, maybe more for a 4' unit than you would for a 5' unit.

I'm using a product called CALBAR Shower-Proof WB in "[i]Tinner's Red[/i]". It's pricey, but is a one-coat application; primer and color coat in one. It goes on at a rate of 1 gallon per 200 sf. Only surface prep is to power wash the oxidized paint off before rolling.

It most certainly isn't designed to do that.

What you are experiencing is the PTO clutch slipping, be [u]very[/u] careful too, it only takes a couple of minutes of doing that to seriously damage the clutch.

Any time you're running something like a bush hog, rototiller or snowblower you should always have a slip-clutch on the PTO shaft to protect the tractors clutch from exactly what you are now seeing.

I would highly recommend you get the tractor into a shop before you use the PTO anymore and have them check, and if possible adjust, the clutch.

Visited the dealer today...worthless trip. I solved the problem by drilling holes the same size as the mounting pins approximatels 4"s behind the existing pins on each side of the bracket mounted on the sliding rails. Fitted a lenghth of round stock thought the holes to protrude beyond the bracket the same lenghth of the existing pins. Fitted the mounting brackets mounted under the seat to the new pins. Problem solved. Hopefully the this will be helpfull to any members with the same machine.

No, they're not that critical. The big issue is the dissimilar metals. The flighting is mild steel, the cutting edge would be either cast iron (in cheaper models) or very wear resistant steel.

Either way, good old 6013 just won't work very well.

If I read the original correctly post it has it own pto pump.

I am a firm believer you begin with the simple and most often lowest cost options. It may well be your pump but first I would look at the oil as to the level, condition and it's filter.

As it slowed did all operations slow or just one? If the pump is the issue then all operations would slow. Are you sure the tractor held the same rpms the full time? Sure you did not pinch a hose while using it?

Then use smaller diameter pin or if you have the ability to run a drill bit through of the correct diameter do that. However if you have not tried rotating the blade by hand as hard and fast as you can do that first. It may but some trash or such in there preventing full rotation. Have you lubed it (grease or oil as it is designed for)?

Steve, are you sure you have it filled to the correct fluid level? I have no idea the method used on that tractor, sight gauge or dipstick or another method.

Murf, would not have thought about fast dropping a load foaming the hyd oil but makes sense with several rapid cycles. But if he had front end loader should not air in the hyd oil show up there or can you have issue that pulls air into the 3 pth hitch but not the fel?
