Several company's make them, but even if you can't fabricate it yourself, a local welding shop will likely charge you half what a commercial setup would cost. It's pretty straight forward stuff to cut down a light-duty truck plow and make up a mount.

If your FEL has a skid-steer style mount the base the implement half 'blank' can be bought for about $150 from many sources.

Hello, we have had this problem and it was solved, so far. If you have symptoms like:<br>

sporadic heat spikes, no visual movement of water in radiator, no fan running, overheating light on and off<br>
<br>
These are just a few, but they all boil down to no water movement, like a thermostat or water pump failure. Of course there is also the possibility of a bad thermostat switch (bottom of radiator), bad thermostat even a bad overheating switch (back of rear cylinder near water inlet.) <br>
<br>
You can check the fan switch (bottom of radiator) by noting that it just give the fan a ground when it switches. So disconnect the line from the fan to the thermostat switch and ground it (the fan line), the fan should turn on. Thermostat can be placed in a pan with water and heated to ensure it opens. The other switches are checked by ohm meter since they close when it's overheated.<br>

We replaced most of these parts also. Further investigation shows that we were not getting water flow. The thermostat has a hole in it for relieving the system of air. The air can cause the pump not to work and no water flow. So we found that the thermostat was put in upside down so the hole with the partial rivet was at the bottom. Drill a hole in the top of the thermostat, 1/8 inch, ensure you don't drill where the thermostat closes and seals or where it will be covered by the gasket or sealant.<br>

Put the stuff back together, fill radiator, while filling remove the dark bolt on the intake manifold near the center and purge the air out of the system while filling the radiator.<br>

Check for leaks after starting and as you drive it to warm it up feel the radiator for a slow warming, not fast high heat changes, this is a problem. Hopefully when it gets hot the fan will run on and off properly. This should a proper fix.<br>

I didn't know about the stall guard feature, my compacts have all been gear drive. They either spin the tires or kill the engine if you don't hit the clutch first.

You use a couple definitions of an all purpose plow.

1 A field cultivator is what we call a secondary tillage machine with lighter shanks than a chisel plow used to prepare the soil just ahead of a planter or drill.

2 The chisel plow we use as a primary tillage machine after corn or soybean harvest. Not much soybean stubble gets chisel plowed anymore because too much crop rersidue is covered leaving the soil open to severe erosion.

This thread is a half-decade old, but for others with the same issue, I find the best tool for both diagnosis and bypassing the problem is a $10 remote starter. That's a box with a button on it, and two wires coming out.

One wire clips on the positive (of your or another battery), the other to the starter terminal. Someone in the seat, in neutral, press the button and the starter is activated directly. Fast spin points to faulty battery, connections, or switch. No fast spin points to the starter.

Bought an older Long 460 last year. My first tractor. Wanted something inexpensive with a low likelihood of getting stolen. This thing turns out to be a nice basic tractor. I have most of the mechanicals sorted out, but not all. It seems to run just fine, handles a 5ft bush hog all day with no complaints.<br>

Interested in painting it now. Planning to start with the wheels. I expect to remove each wheel for clean up and paint. Would I need to remove the tires? Would a wire brush wheel on my angle grinder suffice to remove the rust, or should I plan to sandblast it, or some other method? <br>

I have a Belarus (Pray) 310 Tractor. I've been trying to rewire the<br>
starter solenoid. The coil works fine, but the wiring to the coil is<br>
all corroded. <br>

When I tried to get the coil to throw the solenoid by hooking it up<br>
the way I thought I should, I get nothing; that is connecting the <br>
body/ground to negative battery, and the power connection to to <br>
positive battary; nothing happens even when you short the starter switch/relay stud to positive..<br>

If you take the cap that holds the electrical connectors off the <br>
coil, you see that there are only two connections going into the<br>
coil. One which goes to the starter relay/switch stud actually<br>
has two wired connected together which go into the coil. The <br>
other wire goes to the positive battery power.<br>
<br>
The only connection I found to make the solenoid coil react is<br>
connecting the two wires going into the coil to positive and <br>
negative battery. Then the solenoid goes off!<br>
<br>
This doesn't make any sense to me because the one wire goes<br>
to the main battery positive power stud; the two wires that go<br>
into the coil together go to the starter relay/switch!!!<br>
<br>
Now I've paid to have this starter 'rebuilt' a couple of times;<br>
it didn't seem like they were really doing anything because it<br>
fail within a years again. So I decided to clean it up myself.<br>
Maybe it's wiring is no longer original?<br>

It doesn't help that you have to unsolder a couple of connections<br>
just to get the cap off, and there's no way to put it back together<br>
because the starter relay stud is soldered to a wire with no slack.<br>
I put a ring terminal on the starter relay stud under the cap on a<br>
wire a couple inches long to give me enough slack to push the<br>
relay stud through the cap and then screw the cap on, and solder<br>
the ring terminal outside the cap on the main power stud to the<br>
wire that goes through the cap to the ring terminal.<br>

Is it supposed to be like this? Has this already been screwed over<br>
sometime in the past?<br>

I just purchased this and curious to see if anyone can explain to to me the shift pattern and how it works? It has the two shifters between your legs with numbers on both sides. My understanding there is also a "crawler gear" under the seat and I think the 4wd lever is on the right side under seat. Any help would be great.

If grey smoke sounds like water in fuel.white smoke would be a worn out motor,black smoke is to much fuel.
get a good fuel additive and run that with your fuel..

Yes change the oil or the pump will go out,you have water in the oil and that is caused from leaving the tractor outside in rain,the water will go down the gear sticks into the transmission,
You can tell if water is in oil,if the oil looks milky it has water in the transmission.

There is two drains plugs on bottom on a 2360 Long,, but the stick is the only check mark on a 2360 for both drains..

Fill oil is at the left side of the gear sticks small and you will need a funnel and someone to hold it while you pour oil into transmission,I think mine holds 6 gallon . and it is slow about pouring oil into transmission.

Engine oil should be changed each 100 Hours, Transmission oil should be changed every two years,
The oil for a diesel should be 15-40 and a gas engine should be a 30 weight,hydrolics or transmission oil should be 70-90 weight.Any good brand is good.I use Mobil.
