Vehicle runs fine for several days then after stopping for a short time, the engine turns over, fires and immediately cuts out. It always seems to turn over very well and fires for a short time on every second or third attempt but will not continue to run.<br>

This has happened a few times now and I have had to recover the vehicle only to find that a few hours later it starts perfectly.<br>

The only other symptom is that occasionally, on first start in the morning, revs seem limited to about 3000rpm, but then clear for no apparent reason. Our local Mercedes repairer has tried computer diagnosing, but no faults show up and because of the very intermittent nature of the problem, up to now no fix has been discovered. <br>
<br>
Recently, I have had a new Starter Motor, Ignition Switch and one Injector changed.<br>

My brakes are worn out. No adjustment left. Maxed out. Have removed transaxle unit and brake section. Looked up the part number (AM878460), called John Deere - $546.00. Amazing! The cost for wet brake sets for some farm tractors that are heavier and with more plates is around $200.00! But we all know John Deere parts pricing. Anyway, can one get these relined, or find some decent old ones?<br>

ok. i pulled the head. all the valves were fine(not burnt anyways) i rotated the motor and the #2 cylinder sleeve came up out of the block with the piston. so not machined correctly. but how would this cause suction on the exhaust? prob time to price a new engine. between diag. and repair/machine shop cost its probably more practical for the customer

I have an L3410,575hrs on it, was working on a hill side and blew the front tire put in a tube prob. solved. Made a rake for it myself,bought a backhoe it was worn out he said it was ready to work,never should have listened to that guy, fixed everything, ok know. In the process of installing a coolant filter, then a bypass oil filter.

brendan Cassy;hydraulic genus said it all just because the oil is new does not mean it is clean, filter it, and change the filter.

I hate to bump this thread, but I was reading through and was shocked that some tanks haven't ever been pumped! I know that it requires a lot of bacteria, but that is impressive. Would you say it's true that people with well typically pump less? In the event I was in need of assistance, can anyone recommend any <a href="http://www.angieslist.com/companylist/los-angeles/contractor.htm">Los Angeles contractors</a>? I hate to not have a plan as you never know what we will come across!

My home sits on a very deep area of sand, when the shop was built they gave the usual gears about a grease/oil trap, blah, blah, blah.

The reply they got was that it wasn't a drain at all, it was to prevent radon gas from building up underneath the floor slab.
