Hey all. I am replacing a head gasket for my ancient 150, which has a three cylinder diesel perkins, and I can't find the head torque specs or sequence...can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance. Jack

I think you'll find that's actually called "1/4" Hardware Cloth" although it's sometimes referred to as "Woven Steel Cloth".

It's available in a variety of opening sizes and finishes too, from plain to galvanized to vinyl coated. See below.

I've always believed that tires are so under-estimated in the area of traction that it's laughable.

I also believe that the term "all season" should not be allowed to be used on tires sold north of Atlanta Georgia.

That said, I have had several large rear-wheel drive sedans in the past, mostly V12 European makes. I [u]always[/u] had them on 4 really top-drawer snow tires for the winter. They would routinely go places a 4WD on 'all-season' tires couldn't. When going to my cottage I routinely drove through snow deep enough I had to have the wipers on to clear the snow coming up over the hood off the windshield.

I also have a good friend who has a long commute, about 60 miles one way, through snowy countryside. He drives, and has for years, a Volkswagen Golf equipped with top-notch snow tires, same deal, he goes where 4WD's on 'all-seasons' don't dare to.

Deere has made so many models and model changes that I've given up trying to keep to date with them. I would have no idea as to the right price.
As was said if you are going to have a front end loader which is probably the most popular attachment for a tractor I'd pass and watch for a four wheel drive.

My 620i had an annoying rattle comng from under the box that was hard to find. Turned out to be a flat washer dancing around under a cotter pin on the parking brake linkage. cost almost nothing to fix, another washer or two to make it a tight fit, rattle is gone now.

I have a tc40a tractor, new holland, the hpl has a problem in that it is cycling up and down. I believe the problem is the lift cylinder. My question is, is it possible to repair this cylinder by removing the flow control valve and pulling the piston out and replacing the seal without pulling the lift cover off? the repair manual says you have to pull the fenders,seat and fuel tank. this is a big job to just repair a cylinder. Thank you JP

Skip, how about sunshine? No idea if there is a correct amount of time the tension should hold but only check mine once in a big while. Know need to do it next time used for they are a little slack, sort of like ole Jeffery old boy.

Skip sometime you need to ask him about the sun screen recommendation given to him. Seriously he ain't all bad. Has helped me.

I'm working with a little more tractor than you, but the concept is exactly the same.

EW's comments above are all spot on, the blade on the FEL (front end loader) gives you far more benefit than issues IMHO. Stacking snow, or being able to push it out onto turf away from pavement but keeping the tractor itself off the turf, being able to push the tops off snow banks, etc., etc., etc.

I did (see pic below) like EW mentioned, mounting the blade to an adapter plate where the bucket normally goes.

All you need to do for the power angle is to add in a couple of 'tee' fittings and a 12 volt valve, or tether the curl cylinder so it can't move. Quick-disconnect fittings make hook up and removal fast and easy.

Ask a store that stocks battery stuff if they have an account with the wholesaler QuickCable (US firm, branch plant in Toronto). QuickCable's version says 87002 CENTURY BATTERY CHARGER AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF 12 VOLT 1.5 AMP.<br>

I really think they are the same fluid, but an easy test. Add some using the fill plug and see if it shows up on dipstick.

You will probably have to remove the lift housing to replace the orings. I can suplly parts. I can't stock every part for every tractor. Too expensive.

The Kubota may just be slow or the pump may be warn. I don't know the history of the tractor.
