My tractor doesnt want to shift into reverse any ideas how to fix?Does it have a solinoid around the transmission?

I found a JD 2530 with a loader on the side of the road for sale over the Thanksgiving holiday while traveling. No one was home at the house, and there was no answer at the phone # from the sign. Anyone have any insight as to these tractors? There isn't much info on the web. Maybe a price range, tractor is a little rough, but appears as though it has been run recently.

Temp light should come on in the start position. Sounds like your battery is low or connections are dirty.

As far as the 525, the Steiner dealer in CT (Bacher Corp) has one with a bad differential, I think they said they wanted 3500 for it, has a cab and has been sitting.
I have a older 420 I would sell or trade for? Looking for around $4500.

I tried moving the lever as you said, no change. The lever feels like it engages just like it always did. However, on a small hill the back wheels spin and the front do nothing. Any other suggestions to pinpoint the problem?

I'm looking for other owners of Mitsubishi D 2350 DF tractor. My tractor worked great last week and yesterday I couldn't get it to move. It was if the clutch won't release. It seemed to go into gear but when I let out the clutch it didn't do anything. Any suggestions?<br>

You could try asking a Cub dealer or the head office whether, if you bought that subframe and hoe, if it would fit the two models or if it's the same for both. You could try to find out if the two use the same frame. If the subframe is attached, you could visit it to measure all the attachment points.

Get modern lights with LED bulbs that draw little current, and you won't have to worry about relays and separate circuits. Make sure the power wire is fused.

You could get a battery tender or whatever they're called. Canadian Tire sells them for $30-40. It's low-amp (1.5) charger that pushes a little juice in only when the battery voltage falls low enough. Thus, you can leave it connected and plugged in all the time, especially in the winter, without overcharging. It also means that if your tractor's charging circuit fails, you can get along with just this.

WOW, that's a lot of yam. About like my pumpkins, I can only bring in one at a time from the patch. I have to use two log chains to go around one to drag them in one at a time with the John Deere.

To bring this to closure - I found a piece of 2" OD DOM scrap (at no cost). Drilled 1/2" holes to align with the holes in the (smaller) digger drive shaft and the new 2" ID auger. Works like a charm. Thanks for the advice. Should have done this several years ago, instead of wasting time looking for an auger for the smaller shaft.

Update, we did nothng and the brakes are no longer binding. I read somewhere that driving back and forth braking hard can help loosen things up if they are going to be cooperative :)

I have the same problem with a 300 lots of 4 wheel drive going forward ( spins the tires) nothing but stuck in reverse, the drive shaft spins, have a manual and still can't figure out whats broken.
