I have a stihl 038 super that does not run unless I por gas into it myself. Recently I have replaced the tank, fuel line and filter due to a leaking metal tank. I read all the info from Dennis and his troubles. mine seem the same but i have changed many of those items already. Any suggestions and what is the "impulse line"?

It's a pain to drain overfill, and leaving it can be harmful. Good practice to underfill and use the stick to determine when the right amount is in. Give the new oil time to settle before taking the level.

Yes, got it. I'm not too sure whats happening actually... it starts within reason and the light DOES work if it happens to stall out. Just not when turned to glow plug oil warmer... or whatever.

I also have one I'd be interested in parting with along with an original Yanmar japanese model 4' rototiller. I have no idea what a decent asking price would be for either of these, but know that I work for a global transportation company that has very competitive rates on shipping... for whatever thats worth.

Thank you. Tractor does not get much use and the fluid looks clear. I will search manual for shut off and try changing seals if I can find them. There are several dealers between me and my office. Thanks again. I will try to remember to post a note to let you know what I find.

I need advice. I found a 2011 m7040sudh new for 29000.00 I like the hydraulic shuttle and the weight being the same as a m5040. Something about the planetary gears being different. Is that a big deal or not Can someone please advise.<br>

A week ago was having new tires installed on my pickup. The dealer told me he has car tires repaired including the high price models. It only makes sense if they can repair a rim that runs the speed with the shock loads and balance auto rims does a tractor rim should be able if they person knows what they are doing. I would relax.

You can get the repair manual and a parts manual that shows all the parts and how they interact. I would call Mark at 641.710.2289 and order the manuals and ask him about the problem. He is one of the best Belarus mechanics and parts men in the U.S. and he will help us out over the phone.Just buy your parts from him to justify his phone time.

I have a 1996 Gator Diesel, it needs a new drive clutch, but I am not sure on the part numbers, even after looking on the JD parts website! It is either AM140987, AM104986 or AM135102 any help will be appreciated! <br>

Dennis, sales of compacts have been growing for us even with having three brands. Our compact tractor sales have been doing well even the poor economy. I know our sales have been quite strong with the Kubota line and I don't at this point consider them one of our short lines do to the share of our business they hold. To compare to 2003 I don't have the exact numbers but I'd say they are up over 30% in dollars at a minimum.

Thank you For your help. I dont think its any problem So I will just leave well enough alone. Tractor seems to work just fine. Just thought I would through it out there to see if someone knew what this plug was for..... You Guys are a great help....I really think its a condensation drain. So I will let it go at that......Thanks

Love the story of your father, It makes me appreciate my 2-footed-driving mother (for real she will step on the brake at the same time she's on the gas). And whenever I suggest otherwise, she insists it's habit from being taught (60+ yrs ago) to drive on a stick- like none of us learned on a stick, originally! Oh well. Brake pads, $30, parents grumbling ..priceless
