I bought my John Deere 4410 in November of 2002 and she is still running strong after nearly 10 years. Knock on wood, I have done only regular scheduled maintenance with the exception of changing out the battery for a sealed AGM battery to prevent radiator and oil cooler corrosion.

It has developed a really slow fuel leak I have not been able to track down just yet but I think it may be the fuel tank.

The eHydro transmission has worked well but if I had it to do over again, I would NOT get the eHydro. It just NEVER had a nature feel to it, it is a bit sluggish in response to operator input and gets even more snappy engagement as the transmission oil gets hot.

After digging a wildlife refuge pond with a John Deere 310G 4WD TLB equipped with a manual transmission and directional shuttle shift, I think that is the way to go. It truly did spoil me.

All said though, for the money, the little 4410 has definitely earned its keep. It is very small and with the addition of a set of John Deere 42 inch forks is a major asset around the farm and the beekeeping operation. It is also great for cleaning up and cutting trails in the forest for the hunt clubs and our own access. It is a fuel misser that burns about a gallon per hour.

Just yesterday I used it to level out and move around about 120 tons of base gravel mix for the farm entrance and parking areas.

I have an L3410, about 1999. 567 hrs,put a used hoe on it, added a brace that goes to the frame, does not hold any weight, just to stabilize the thing, made it myself, goes under and do not use the mid point attach mower. John Deer makes them for theirs for about $1000.00. Not sure how fast the attach is, do not care all material bought at scrap place.

buy the largest unit your tractor can use , lot of people go small ,mistake.
woods is good, I bought a used one, he said it was ready to be used, not so, it was bent and he was allergic to grease, worn out, i took out every weld he did, it cost me 300.00 to rebuild the thing, my mistake for believing him. All the pins and bushings to, a lesson well learned. Do not trust any one. The bad thing, I knew him. I have an L3410, and many implements.

I've understood that the "Blue" and "Red" tractors are basically the same from CNH and wonder why we never hear of the problem on "Red" tractors.

I try and stay as level as I can. People let me do their small fields 7 areas being the largest for hay. The hay is for my 3 horses which make compost for our garden. So I am very tuned into balance and my surroundings.

My husband and I work hard to be in balance with nature.

I do know about the over riding clutch. I plan to invest in that safety measure before using my brush hog.

My workmaster has power steering and I used it to cut hay last season. I do like the non live PTO for the reason the 501 sickle stops when the tractor stops.
Also have a Ford 5000 tractor with front end loader to muscle the big bails around.

I have a Vermeer 605C I just replaced the pickup bearing on it runs like a clock.
Thought of getting a smaller bailer with lower profile for the small fields.

Have any thought on that?

I've owned a 560 HC for 41 yrs. I've sold my farm and only have this tractor left. I asked to see about selling it. The serial number is 6435 P Y and some say the serial no. must have HC on it. his number is shown as 1958 and one of the letters is for the size hyd. pump. It's a HC from front to aft and I've been told on other sites that the serial tag gives little more than the year it was made, I need to find out as I'm thinking of selling it. The Hi Clear models are much higher priced is the item, however the serial number is on the clutch housing. I hope someone can help me. Joe

that's the one, its a seperate turn signal lens, but they only sell the entire headlight and turn signal as a package.. only need the plastic lens, simple for some..

I can see you wincing every time you hear a rock deflorating the paint on your blower!

On the Woods, is that an adjustable "foot" that keeps the end of the blade from digging in? Was thinking of getting one. Does it work OK? Can you still push in reverse?

Here is the theory of operation from the tech manual.
Maybe it will help you to understand how it works.

Engine Shutoff Circuit Operation
Function:
To prevent the machine from being started or left running in
an unsafe condition.
Operating Conditions:
� Operator on seat.
� and/or;
� Gear range lever in neutral position, PTO Switch Off.
� Park brake locked.
Theory of Operation:
The starting motor will crank when current is provided from
the battery.
Battery current is provided through the starting motor
solenoid contacts when operating conditions are met.
If the operating conditions are not met, the engine will not
start as fuel will not be delivered to the combustion
chambers. See �Cranking Circuit Operation� in this chapter.
Fuel is supplied to the engine through the operation of the
K2 fuel relay and the Y2 Fuel shutoff solenoid, provided
that operating conditions are met.
If the operating conditions are not met, fuel is not supplied
and the engine will not start or run. See �Fuel Supply
Operation� in this chapter.
When the operating conditions exist, the control module
provides battery voltage to the K2 fuel relay, Y2 fuel shutoff
solenoid, and K1 start relay.
The energized fuel relay coil closes the relay contacts and
the closed contacts provide a current path to the fuel
solenoid pull-in coil.
The Y2 fuel solenoid opens, fuel is provided to the engine
and ignition can occur.
The A1 control module provides a power circuit for the fuel
solenoid hold-in coil.
The power circuit through the control module is a 0.5
second timed delay circuit.
If the operator leaves the seat for more than 0.5 second
without engaging the park brake and placing the gear
range lever in neutral with the PTO switch off, the circuit
stops voltage to the hold-in coil, the fuel solenoid deenergizes
and fuel is shut off to the engine.
With the gear range transmission in the neutral position,
current flows through the S4 transmission neutral switch to
the S3 PTO switch and then to the A1 control module
indicating the machine is in neutral.
When the operator is off the seat, battery voltage to the A1
Control module is routed to the S4 transmission neutral
switch through the 450 Wht/Blk wire to a 3 Amp fuse in the
F4 fuse block, through the 602 Blk/Blu wire, to the 610 Blk/
Grn wire, and then to the S4 transmission neutral switch.
From the transmission neutral switch, current is routed
through the switch and the 609 Blu/Yel wire to the S3 PTO
Switch. From the PTO switch, current is routed to the A1
Control Module via the 613/603 Blu/Red wire.
The operator may start the machine while off the seat if the
gear range selector lever is in the neutral position
(transmission neutral switch closed), the PTO switch is in
the Off position and the seat switch is in the Defeat
position. In this condition, current flows to the S2 seat
switch defeat contacts from the A1 Control Module via the
606/607 Blu/Yel wire. From the S2 seat switch current flows
through the 600/614 Blu/Yel wire directly to the A1 Control
Module. Current also flows from the Defeat Switch contacts
through the 608 Blu/Yel wire to the 609 Blu/Yel wire and
then to the S3 PTO switch. From the PTO switch the
current follows the 613/603 Blu/Red wire path back to the
A1 Control Module.
With the engine running and the S2 seat switch in the
defeat position, the PTO may now be engaged. This
eliminates the 603 Blu/Red wire current input to the A1
Control Module from the PTO switch. The current input to
the A1 control module now comes exclusively from the S2
Seat switch defeat contacts via the 600/614 Blu/Blk wire.

Did anyone figure out the clicking noise? I have a clicking coming from the rear right tire. I thought it was the chain drive but doesn't seem to be and nothing in the manual matches up- any ideas? Thanks

Has any TP member ever gotten their Kubota BX seat replaced under warranty for not being comfortable?<br>

For those of you that like to touch up your Kubota and do not like the price of Kubota Paint, I have found that Chevy Engine paint from Duplicolor at Walmart fills the bill. I cannot tell the difference on a 2004 B7610 and its BX implements.

Cruisecontrol: only on tractor with a HST. It is not like on a vehicle. On a HST you first select the range (the more the better) then RPM needed and then you vary the ground speed with the foot pedal for the HST. The more you depress it the faster the ground speed which does vary with range selection. A problem with HST is you must keep that pedal depressed to keep moving. Some people find that tiring. The other issue is if you are doing something such as using a sprayer or spreader and need to keep constant ground speed that can be tough unless if it totally depressed pedal. For those two needs you use the cruise control to hold the foot pedal in place much like the hand throttle does for the rpms of the engine. You are dealing with linkage on this and on our HST it works like a politician.
