Hi Frank. Yes my fuel guage and other gauges work. I suspect it's the instrument cluster. It appears that it's one big module and one big expense :(

There is so much blow by that it will blow all the oil out. No water in oil, no leaks any where else. I thought it my have another vent somewhere that may be stopped up.

You're welcome, but it's so much work to drain the fluid and keep it perfectly clean that you might leave it for now and do the filter when you change it again at 200 instead of 300 hours (unless you get hydraulic problems). Forgot to respond about the seat.

Maybe I give too much importance to my rear but I'm rather attached to it and think the seat is a critical component. Unfortunately, the Yanmar one is rudimentory and attaches in a unique way.

Here's your opportunity to get an after-market one (better cushioning, higher back, arm-rests, easy position adjustments, ...) and revise the mounting hardware (or have a metal shop do it) so it will accept a standard tractor seat.

Just wanted to Thank each of you guys for all the info. I feel like I have learned alot from just reading the messages on here and also know who I need to talk to when I need to learn more. Thanks afain for your time and advice. I am going to buy the tractor and all attachments as well. I'll fill you in once I have a chance to use it. No dout I'll have a ton more questions. This site is VERY helpful to me as a new tractor owner

This won't help you, but when I was an automotive technical writer writing repair manuals, engineers were required to review and approve the info such as torque specs. We had a feeling they weren't reading the manuals especially torque specs. So in order to prove it to our bosses we started putting specs in like "Tighten until breaks then back off a half turn". We made our point when it came back approved.

Many starters, batteries, and alternators have been replaced because of cabling issues. For some reason people sometimes leap to the expensive solutions first.

DK40 is the model of the Kioti. I think it should be DKXX SE the XX represents the horsepower. Th DK is the model part. Not sure what the SE is.

I am so on the fence with filling the tire with water. I can pick up a whole load of dirt and only in certain times does it start to get front end heavy. I am gonna try the box blade thing before I do it. I ran into an "issue" with the 3pt hitch. I am going to post that in the post egg on face as it seems more appropriate there. :-)

Gentlemen, I have a Kubota D 722E engine. The engine is attatched to 12000 or 15000 watt generator. The hours meter that was installed as part of the original purchase to the United States Army.
