sorry i have not got back. we found out there is a certain way to fill the block and radiator. we did that and everything is working like it is supposed to. amazing what rats and sitting in a barn will do to a machine. but, is was a freebie. all it has cost us was a battery and some wire. does anyone know a place for rear tires, got one bad one.

The clear or dyed fuel has nothing to do with the sulfur content of the fuel. I can't speak for your location in the east but 90% plus of all diesel terminals in the US don't have anything but ultra low sulfur diesel fuel in their pipelines. Your dyed #2 or clear #2 from any truckstop or fuel vendor will work fine. I would recommend a lubricity additive available at any parts store to protect your injector system. The minimum lubridity requirement in these new fuels is not adequate for long engine life. I work for one of the largest farm supply companies in Nebraska and we provide diesel fuel to over 5000 farm and industry customers annually.

The general consensus here is that while you may be able to find a substitute, you may have problems with the outcome. Don't know what size tractor you have or the hours you put on it that may influence your motivation, but we know someone makes it for Kubota so it has to be possible.<br>

For me I buy the Super UDT and eat the higher cost, I do buy non Kubota Engine Oil Filters though. But on the Hydraulic filters I buy the Kubota ones just to be safe

General advice is to top up the fuel tank and check the vent is clear, check the filter is clean and water-free, check the pump is OK, and bleed at all ports such as filter housing, pump, injectors.

Since I was a litle kid I have wanted to visit Hood River, but likely won't ever get it done due to some physical limitations now.
My Mother had an Aunt Eva, I do remember that much but no memory of her last name, from Hood River. She came to Iowa to spend the summer with us in 1946 or 47 when I was probably 6 or 7, she never stopped telling about all the wonderfull things in Hood River. I don't remember if she liked Iowa or not, I never saw her again, so maybe she didn't like Iowa.

The son sent me a email that say's to push in to stop and pull to choke? can you choke a diesel? I do know the rod from the "choke" lever go to the injector pump. I will have to check out the PUSHING to see if it stops the engine.

It's called a sulky (originally the single-seat horse-pulled carriage, then the one-person cart pulled behind usually a race trotter). Is speed your only consideration? There's no relaxing on a stander and no comfort on a sitter.

As for speed, there are other variables but basically it's determined by the HP. To put it simply, pulling an 8' at 3 mph would take about the same time as a 4' at 6 mph.

Seems to me that your parking brake switch is not making contact. If the brake is set tractor in neutral and PTO off, you should be able to get off the tractor with it running. When you set the brake does the light on the dash come on? Is the orange PTO indicator light on all the time or just when you turn the PTO on?

There are to many what ifs to disconnect the ops. I would never recommend you do that. I would recommend you try to find out why it is shutting off if you are doing the above steps before you get off the tractor.

I forgot your price question. I'm not up on tractor prices, but I'd be surprised if you found much difference between like equiped Deere, Ford/NH, or Kubota. all three will hold their resale value much better than the Chinese type imports. They may seem a better buy till you're stuck with a parts orphan.

I got a manual for my SD-2200 from Leonard Sheaffer.
Some Ford/New Holland tractors are Shibaura made, and the manuals are in English! I also got a Ford manual from Mr. Sheaffer for the Ford tractors similar to mine.

Maybe you can get lucky and there is and inspection panel there abouts allowing you to get the bulk out.

If not I have see a whole tube put into a heavy truck with none ever touching the pressure plate or clutch disk.

Some grease getting onto the disk is not a castraphoic event. It might be a little grabby but not unbearable
