I'm not sure if they're Irish. I planted several variteys, I think the frozen ones were Red Pontiac.
They do look like they are going to recover, the stems are nice and green and loook like some new leaves are coming.
Even tho we were lifetime farmers we just never had time to grow a garden. I used to help Mom with a garden but that was a long while ago so I forgot a lot since then.

Also, this tractor seems to be steering harder than usual. Does it have power steering? If so, where do I add fluid and what type of fluid is recommended?

I do know from using both gasoline and diesel fuel to begin fires of debris be sure you use diesel for the fumes of the gas will creep as Jeff has pointed out and you could be surrounded by them and that is not a Good place to be when you strike a spark.

i have a ford 1210 that blows a grey some from exhaust . it only does it at mid rpms at idle or high rpm it runs clean im wondering if this is normal or if any on may know what the problem is. thanks

My 1210 PTO is running when the clutch is engaged, the gear grinds when I try to shift to PTO even when my clutch is in. I can disengage it (pop it) when the clutch is in. The PTO shaft turns slowly (no power)when I have it in the off position. Is there a PTO brake on this model? adjustment? or do I have a more serious problem?

I just placed an order for a new Woods backhoe with the subframe so I won't be needing the used Kubota. The Kubota BH76 is being offered on TractorHouse.com by a broker in Tyler, TX. It is an '08 model with less than 40 hours for $5000. That is a good buy.

I've been thinking about your problem and before you do anything, unbolt the ground wires that go to the top of the motor, clean all the terminals, and put it back together and try it. That will get you started in the right direction.

Actually My Father cracked the dish closest to the engine, and the spider. I figured I could get parts separate, although I have no idea what to look for, I cant believe that there isn't the same exact clutch out there that is used on something else? The new clutches are around 300 dollars, so to buy the spider and the back disk, from the pricing I found it is cheaper to by the whole thing. Anymore idea's will help. Thank you for your help. If you want a minor suggestion, I'd be concerned that a coating of frost could make it useless. You could install a 12v outlet so you could plug in a fan. If you can find or make a manual windshield wiper, that might be a worthwhile and low-cost addition for front and back. It might be simple to run a hose from the engine area to let some of that heat in. You could carry a spray-bottle of frost-cutter after you try it on some scrap plexi. And you could cut out eye-level, drop-down ports in the plexi so if worst came to worst you could see where you're going.

TP member Dustbowl pointed out to me that the TP password change was not working. It has got to be a couple of years that it did not work as the problem was based on changes that should have been made when I upgraded the server a few years ago.<br>

I don't know the rating of my trailer but it is a single axle with five bolt 15 in. wheels using like 1/2 ton pickup tires. We haul the XUV quite a bit with it. no problems so far.

I took a look at it last night and the bolt on the bracket fo the tensioner pulley that acts as the pivot was torqued down so tight that the spring that is suppose to keep tension on the belt was useless. I loosened the bolt, now the spring can do it's job. I'm going to mow with it tonight and see how it performs. Should there be a bushing/washer inbetween the deck and the tensioner pulley bracket? Right now (as factory assembled), the tensioner bracket rotates directly on the steel deck. There's a large washer on top of the bracket--I'm wondering if this shouldn't be sandwiched between the deck and bracket???

I think it varies some with size of tractor, area and even dealership and of course condition of the tractor itself. Based upon what I have seen over the years the major brands do hold their value well. Of course some of that is due to the increasing price of new machines.

Thanks for the replies. The sediment bowl did have fuel in it when the tractor stopped. We will take the lines off to make sure they are not blocked and flow well. Already had to replace the return lines on the injectors. Do I need to order the line from the sediment bowl to have on hand in case we need to replace it? I won't see this tractor again until 6/8/10.
