not in fwd. 2wd hi at 2500 or so rpm on pavement.we use a row transplanter at idle speed to 950rpm with no problem. I cleaned tank and lines as suggested to no avail. could injectors be problem?

Thank you for the sugestion. JD does not have any parts for this motor. I will try a Yanmar dealer next.

Does anybody ever use a landscape rake with gauge wheels and putting the wheels in front of the rake rather than behind? Seems to be much more controllable when the wheels are in front of the rake. with the wheels in back, I can't seem to be able to prevent it from digging in too aggressively. With the wheels in front with adjusting the top link, I can easily control it. Am I the only one doing this or do others do this also?

Completely different motor mounts welded into floor pan, different wiring harness, different fuel filter and pump system with fuel return lines, inner and outer air filter, different drive clutch with heavier flyweights. That's what comes to mind right now, I'm sure there is more. The diesel that goes in the 6x4 is the Yanmar 3TN66 and, like the FD620D gas motor, complete motors are no longer available from Deere.

In case some of you don't know, Deere has a replacement seat swivel for the 2305 with backhoe. I had it installed last week and it is great. The dealer told me that Deere does not notify anyone about it. It is up to your dealer to remember who they sold 2305s with backhoe to and get in touch with them. I just happened to walk in to my dealer and the salesman I dealt with saw me walking in and that is how I got my new seat swivel. Just wanted to give all 2305 owners who don't know about the free replacement to contact their dealer to get it done. So far, this improved swivel is worth having done, what used to be an exercise in frustration is now a one handed operation. It really works great. If you still have the old one, call your dealer.

I am in search of either a new, reconditioned or good quality used (COMPLETE) cylinder head including all valves and springs for my D1600 II Diesel with a KE85 engine.<br>
The current head has 51824 stamped on it.<br>

Yeah-tried that but nothing out there that old. Saw a couple of 1999 and 1997 but nothing 35+ years old.

Hi,

Most guys jump by shorting the two starter terminals. With some, that can cause damage. Go from the battery positive to the third and smaller terminal on the starter. A remote starter is helpful for this.

Gator is a few miles away on the farm. But I can answer some of your questions. Yes the Glow plug lights do come on and time out. Not sure where the clicking noise is coming from but it sounded more up front instead of back by the starter. I will go and try to turn the flywheel by hand and see what happens. I saw your other post relating to a starter problem on a Gator 4X6 and that also gave me some ideas to check out if the HPX is similar. Thanks for the quick post.

Until someone who knows that model chimes in, I'd drain that fluid (thoroughly and out of all ports if there's more than one) and install the right amount of the right kind. And replace any external system filters, and service any internal one.

Don't know what got into it but might be condensation or, if it was stored outside, rain or dew into a shift-lever boot. There are firms that analyze fluids.

Harvey, the screw is good for splitting stumps either in or out of the ground. It takes a lot of power; even at 78hp at the engine it bogs down slightly and it created a lot of heat to the point the screw smokes. Takes about 4 minutes to split a 28" caliper red oak stump in half.

If it's the QD100C3 starter, you might not actually need a new solenoid. That series of tractor has a chronic problem of voltage loss through the wiring harness. The solenoid needs a minimum of 10v from the keyswitch to kick the pinion gear all the way to the point of engagement with the ring gear. 8v-9v is a hit an miss proposition, which accounts for the "spin-whirr-try again" issue. Less than that, and it just clicks.

Voltage can only be measured while the starter is actually cranking, so it's really a two man job. If you don't have a digital multimeter, you can try jumping with a screwdriver (bypasses the keyswitch and associated wiring). The usual fix is to add a Ford type starter relay between the keyswitch and the solenoid. Easy and inexpensive fix.

I have a Kubota B2910, it's 8 years old, a year ago they fixed a linkage break, after that the brakes didn't hold, and the 4 wheel drive slips out, the engine sounds like it will stall out (gets bogged down) when mowing and going uphill after it warms up. They say they don't know what is causing this and still have my tractor trying to figure it out. Does anyone know what may be causing the tractor to do this???????<br>

actually found out from the owners manual I downloaded that it is for the hydraulic filter needing changed.
