Once your drive clutch is maxed out, the only way you can increase speed is increase RPMs. I'm sure the motor is governed at a safe operating RPM and could probably stand a little more, but I don't know who you could contact to do that.

Can anyone help with a 1997 Turf Gator Spicer Transaxle rebuild? I have a stripped out differential (AM125013) and am trying to rebuild the transaxle. Does anyone have this part or a source for this part? Any recommendations to help with rebuild? any other parts I should replace since trans is already split?<br>

This info came from the tech manual. I have not had a need to look at it on my 4310 so can't answer from personal experience but hopefully this will help.

There is a MFWD pin in the transmission that is spring loaded so if the MFWD solenoid is off or not working 4WD is engaged. When in 2WD the solenoid is supposed to pull the pin in to disengage MFWD. In other words, the solenoid is energized for 2WD and deenergized for MFWD.

Since the indicator light goes on and off there is power to the switch. From the switch is a white wire that goes to the MFWD solenoid, so it's likely that there is a problem with that wiring circuit or with the solenoid or the transmission pin is stuck or broken.

Under the seat area (not sure if it's above or below the floorboard) is a Y shaped wiring harness that goes from a connector to two solenoids. One of the solenoids is the rear PTO (does that work?) and the other is for MFWD.

Disconnect the Y harness from the connector and check voltage at the white wire on the male connector side. With the ignition key turned on and the MFWD switch turned off (light off) there should be battery voltage at the white wire. If that is good then check that the black wire(s) on the female connector side has continuity with ground.

If these things check out then maybe someone can operate the MFWD switch and you can try to hear if the solenoid clicks in and out when it operates. If so, then maybe the transmission pin is stuck or broken.

Some of those types of levers are slightly spring loaded with 3 positions. UP-NEUTRAL-DOWN. The knob controls
the speed of the implement going down. I think you might
have a worn "hydraulic" piston packing. It might explain the slow dropping of the implement. Fluid slowly bypassing
the seal packing.

Hey thanks for the info. It turned out to be broken inner seals in the hydraulic steering tube and the debris went into the rotory valve. MidWest Hydraulics im Mo had a new rotory valve for $265.00 and I found some seals at a local hydraulics business. the Dealer wanted $922.00 for the rotary valve. I fixed for $265.00 plus my time. JT

If the rubber manifold is collapsing, then there has to be a restriction in the suction side of the system. Pull out the sump scren and check it. also be sure no lines are kinked shut.

There are two triggers that are mounted next to the flywheel at about 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock under the flywheel cover. Check the wires to them, also one could be bad. There is also a module that plugs in right beside the big main harness plug. It has two plugs on it, one goes to the trigger. It could be bad also. Check all plug connections.

Hydraulics do not work. Have changed fluid and filter. Also replaced rubber manifold that connects pump to tube leading to fluid reservoir. This manifold colapses when the tractor starts and won't allow fluid to pass through. Neither the loader nor the 3-point hitch will work.

That would indicate to me that when the temps are lower, and the oil is more viscous (thicker) it increases the pressure and it goes up faster. Not much new in that.

It's possible to use a slightly heavier weight fluid to increase pressures, but I'd check if the pressure is low using the 'standard' weight fluid first.

Bummer on the clutch.

I think many don't realize you can tear out a PTO clutch. Was amazed a few years back when a person I know did so with a hyd cutter.

You could check the clutch linkage as far back as you can, then Google "belarus + 420an" and see if other owners have an idea. All I can suggest for the third step is to contact whoever did the clutch work.

I have the identical tractor. What you�re describing is the front differential spacer. It contains two bearings and the front pinion shaft. This spacer connects the front and rear drive of your drive train. It has gear oil and that is what your seeing. I just had to replace the bearings on my tractor because the oil seal failed and it slowly trained dry.

Its a nicer blue than the NH.

Typically use AR out to 250. 22-250 out to 300. 308 varmint 400-500. BUT it hard here to get distance without shooting across a valley which usually has a road in the bottom of it. That's illegeal here and I'm a honorable ciizen most of the time.

The XP100 7mmbr is a good 200 yard gun.

I just do not have enough time to shoot and stay really proficient.

Thinking about this a little more, many of the wheel mounts are a one piece for the front and rear wheel on each side. Is it possible they were installed back-wards or what should be the rear wheel is on the front side? Even if not back-wards if they bolt on you might can turn them around and solve the problem.
