sorry for you bad luck with the 850D or sounds like more with the xuv gator in grenally i to have some thing that i would like to change but we are always going to find thing that coud be diffence or more to your liking. what was your first gator was it a 6+4 our a hpx?

I have 10 year old KingKutter from TSC (dual cutting edges). It's 6' wide behind a 33HP blue. I tend to push the limits on my equipment and I do use it for dozing-- even moving 1000 lb. slabs or 700 lb. landscaping boulders into small piles when the skid steer isn't around. Having a hydraulic top link makes it handy for pulling things out like small tree stumps and wooden fence posts--I can pull out a cemented-in post as fast as I can drive in reverse. I did much of this for hurricane restoration for a fence company. I did in 20 minutes what a fence contractor told would take his guys 3 hours.

As far as dozing it's great for piling up brush. Again doing hurricane cleanup I was piling and pushing piles several hundred feet that I could not see over--sometimes even whole trees with the box raised.

I also use mine for toting tools, supplies, and fire wood. I drop 3 Rubbermaid totes between the scarifier tooth bar and the back wall of the blade.

IMHO cost trumps quality when it comes a box blade--it wears out--side plates and the cutting edges (which are replaceable but costly). I've got at least 400 hours on the blade and can go another 400. For my commercial needs I would have thrown good money down the drain buying a good or top quality one.

BTW I doubt it's 900 lb. Mine weighs about 400.

Hey I just bought a MT180D that has 348 original hours on it and I would like to put a small loader on it and use it around the house for landscaping. I know I have to get a hydraulic adapter block for it and then the loader. Any suggestions on where I can find a hydraulic block and recomendations on a loader manufacturer? Thanks

Yes, the trade in value is something that concerned me also, but I'm 62 and don't plan to buy another tractor in my life time:)The dealer has been real good to me over the years and has been selling this brand for a number of years, there are about 16 or so customers of his that have purchased them here in our immediate vicinity. He sells several different brands. Parts don't seem to be a problem. This brand has been in the US for over 20 years, so their not exactly brand new on the scene. The warranty (5years) and service is what impressed me the most.Free 50 and 100 hr. service thrown in. I test drove one Saturday and was quite impressed with the way everything was laid out and handled. Very smooth and steering was very nice. The price is hard to ignore, 30hp tractor for 14 grand. 62" bucket, it will lift 1800 lbs close to 8 feet in the air. It appears to be a stout little beast. Anyway I done the deed and now have 2 tractors, my B2150 and this TYM. Don't hate me guys. Now I�m looking for a box blade for it as well.

I am looking at a new BX2360V60 with a front loader/48" bucket and a 50" 2-stage snowblower w/quick-hitch subframe. The dealer quote I got from MB tractor in Plaistow NH is $15,056 for the tractor/loader/60" mower and $3301 for the snowblower.<br>

Thanks guys. Yes, I enjoy boards like this, especially when they e-mail to tell you when there's a post.

I did some checking around and it appears there are no pumps made specifically for the mid pto but could be made. I don't know if I'll ever do anything as I'm more into buying things already to go. I do see under my tractor, there's a frame for the front end loader underneath that would hide and make mounting a hydraulic reservoir not too much of an issue and close to the MID Pto. so, I'll keep thinking about this. Since we are into opinions as we are talking about tires:
Only ever had turf or truf on mowers. Notice some of the commerical mowers are now offering more aggressive thread than the standard turf tires and those may be the truf thread ole Jeffery old boy.

I have a CUT with the industrial tires and have used in to cut grass with it leaving very little sign on the lawn to pulling 500 gallon sprayer across field with those tires doing a ok job for each. Then I have used in in garden pulling a single row cultivator with poor success all the while the one issue is terrible ride. Sidewalls so stiff they can be almost flat and not notice it.

I have a much larger tractor with ag tires which has also run rfm mower on my lawn with little sign left and also ran another tractor which has Ag radials which were the best all around tire I have ever had. Period. Not sure the brand but they were either Firestone or Goodyear. They were ag tires with lugs that ran about half the distance from sideway to the center line and then a break and another lug. To me made me think of a mix of turf and ag tire. When time to replace either of my tractors I will hunt those.

The battery on my 2003 Case 570LXT went dead. I jumped it, 12v, and it started up fine, but the alternator was not putting out any voltage. I replaced the alternator but that did not fix the problem. I took a 12v jump to the D+ contact of the alternator and it started to work. I checked the ignition switch and it only has 3 volts to it. I there a relay or something somewhere that controls the votage to the D+ side?

I have a 2001 Gator Pro. It did not run last year when I got it. I replace the 3 spark coils as they were cracked and replaced the brain. It has ran godd ever since, until this weekend. It seems to have no spark, the fuel pump is running, it cranks fine, but it will not stark. Is there a fuse somewhere I should be looking for?o

The spring on the transaxle is there but I don't remember seeing any springs on any of the other linkage. May be the cause of the problem. He did say that if he held the lever down it would stay in gear. Thanks for your help. I'll watch for your email.

I have some thing similar to this I bought mine at a auto swap meet type place. Look about half way down the page. Once you get the car on the ramp you use a floor jack to lift the other end. I paid around $550 for what I have. <br>

Hard question because there's no magic number of hours that switches from trouble-free to troublesome.

That's heavy use for a '95. (If it is a 95 the serial will start with 14.) But the hours should be reflected in the price.

Unless it comes with a good warranty from a good dealer, at least have it checked preferably by somebody familiar with that model.
