I'm not up to speed on the price of used tractors, so I won't venture a guesss. Not having hydro isn't a life or death issue but not having four wheel drive is especia;lly when you get a front loiader. Frank

Ann, as usual, has made some excellent points.

One I would like to clarify though. It doesn't matter where you buy your diesel fuel, if it's not used on the road in a licensed vehicle it's road tax-free, period.

Keep your receipts and send them in to your State Revenue people (usually accompanied by a form from them) and they'll send you a refund cheque.

I appreciate the help very much. Mechanically, I can check out tractors myself as I am a 20yr aircraft mechanic. Yes, tractors are different than airplanes, but the fundimentals are the same. I used to have a 99 Kubota B2400 with a FEL. I sold it about 5 yrs ago when I sold my house & land. Wish I had it back, but such is life. Anyway, I will find another. I'll catch ya later, that I'm sure.

You left alot out to really be able to answer your question well. Time is always a consideration! Your abilities make a difference too and if you had to ask, while it's plain to see that you are unsure! It's good that you are asking! For the snow, what are your thoughts, depending on your driveway length the loader that would take the grapple would work fine for a smaller driveway and the possibility of a three point hitch snow blower on the rear might be enough to work for you.
About the stumps, what is small?

Other than the engine, this tractor is basically the same as our agtrac/artrac 3814. Your engine is common to the Jinmas and others, its a TY395 35HP engine the starter is different however. we can help you with parts and advice for htis tractor

I would agree with your dealer that a speed sensor problem is not a high priority. Iam sure you will both remember that the problem exists the next time you take the Gator in. Since it's under warranty, they will probably just swap the sensor out. Yes, Emmittsburg is very nice with lots of Civil War history. Quiet town with clean air

Sorry I can't help you with a diagram. But EW's right, these are simple beasts. If the Russians wire tractors like the Chinese, the starter solenoid circuit is not independently fused. But there is a system fuse, and it's not 15A. Mine's 30A.<br>

The system fuse protects the entire wiring system as a whole, to include the starting circuit. So - on my tractors anyway - the only fuse that the starter solenoid circuit COULD blow, would be the system fuse. A bad keyswitch (or starter button) will take out a system fuse in a heartbeat.<br>

If it helps, the typical electrical flow is Battery>starter>system fuse>ammeter>keyswitch>clutch interlock>starter solenoid>ground. If some fuse other than the system fuse is blowing, good chance that an accessory wire is crossed with a starting system wire someplace.<br>

Ken, that was the first place I looked, which is why I wondered if both models (mine and the larger one) are discontinued. As soon as I can get under its tarp in the barn I'll get the details, do a better search, and let you know.<br>

Meanwhile, I searched ebay to see if there was a photo of one for sale. I did find a tow-behind Agri-Fab Lawn Vacuum. It seems about the size of mine, but with only a 5-horse engine, and instead of two pull-out collection baskets, the whole back is a dump box. Agri-Fab used to have a good site with all its products clearly shown, but I can't find it now.

Kenny that seat was from me driving it last time. There's foam missing. You see, I forgot to open the tailgate when I was just 15, raised the bed up and up until I was looking straight up at the sky (true story). It was a brand new truck too, my dad's. He had a good laugh--until he got the "overloaded" ticket in the mail a week later (forgot to mention that--which is why I had to dump some load before the Weigh Master would let me proceed). Oh yeah, and I broke the Weighmaster's Windshield from the load falling off.

Kenny, are sure you weren't driving one of themthere "outdoor plumbin'-on-wheels"? Or maybe it's one one of them "Crappers for Cash" leftovers?

Speakin' of rednecks... LOL, on the Coast I met an old timer and his wife who was pleased as punch that when he was growing up they had the only two-seater outhouse for m-i-l-e-s.

Shocked and utterly amazed that he's all excited about his revelation--seeing as we're in a restaurant and there's OTHER people listening--all I could think of was: "so what was the other person doing when you were doing yer business?"

He came unglued at this thishe-ahs Yankee's observation. His wife on the other hand sank down in her chair--as he put it, "Don't mind her--she's from da city, and didn't know what is was to have one" (as if she missed out on something).

I googled outhouses and how many they could "hold". The most was 24. 4-6 was not uncommon.

Depending upon which country it was made for, there could be up to three switches involved. They were already mentioned: ignition, clutch interlock, seat interlock. Sounds like you only checked so far for one out of a possible three. The starting circuit is a go-no go concept. All switches in that circuit must close before voltage will get to the starting solenoid. A failure of any one, disables the circuit.<br>

You can find JB weld in your auto parts store.
It comes in two tubes that you mix together.
JB Industro Weld is the name. Good Luck and let me know

Check your owners manual. Some 4XXX models have self priming injector pumps, some dont. You may need to bleed the system, it will tell you how. Frank.

I'll take some pics but it won't be until this weekend sometime. The more I look at the installation the more I think I'll call them out to clean up some areas. For one, they had to lower the gutters but on a couple they didn't shorten the downspout so now the gutters are no longer flush against the fascia board.<br>

We have had a couple of days of rain, not really hard, but they seem to work as advertised, especially with pine needles. After a rain the house is now surrounded by a perimeter of pine needles whereas before those would have been caught by the gutters.

1. Yup no seat belt. Don't need no stinking seat belt. Seriously though, since I usually work alone I'm in and out so much it slows me down too much. And a smushed face is the price I pay--from no seat belt--that is (some say I was born this way--but what do they know)
2. Ram DISC brakes. I got 70,000 miles out of my factory brakes and pull BIG loads. With over 110,000 miles I just replaced the rears. Me thinks you ride the brakes, hmmmm?
