The clunker money an individual gets to help buy a new car will likely be considered as ordinary income on their 09 tax return, if the individual is subjec to taxes.
The next big farce being pushed on us by the Obama admistration is the health care reforme bill that he wants, "Rushed" thru before anyone can have time to read the two foot thick bill. We should at least be allowed to hear all the aspects of this "Reform" before he gets it made into law.

I have a Turf Gator that will not start. Battery good, engine turns over, All lights working! Press on the gas pedal and all you hear is clicking under passenger seat. If you follow the positive battery cable it goes to a ???? what i would call a solenoid! Power in no power out. Clicking when gas pedal is pressed. Any thoughts????

It's common to use front weights to balance a rear implement, and with that model's 4WD they won't reduce the traction significantly. But it's rather rare, so I would first ask a dealer such as Hoye or Jamieson Tractors about parts availability.

I have never used a backhoe on a tractor. Have used a TLB and excavator. One thing I know from even running one today...you will put them in a bind and will be glad for all the support and strength they have when that happens. You may put them under heavy load not thinking or thinking or due to accident but it will happen or has for me.

Mine are still there. One flips up and is not much of an issue but on my CUT it does not and is a pain. But not as much as EW experienced.

Franky what I meant was 20 MPH for a truck--though the skid steer is rated at 14.5 a little faster with tracks. But you are rightr, and I have to change the plow design for the skid steer this year to trip--now it is rigid mounted. I have bent the plow so bad it's unrepairable.

The worst thing I had happen last year was plowing a small condo complex parking lot (about 2000 sq ft.) I was going no faster than fast walking speed when the plow hit a raised concrete pad lip around a drain--I knew it was there--hit it last time with no damage--but miscalculated EXACTLY where. (I have a 3-pt harness inside the cab but opt not to use it). I went from 2 MPH to zero in a millisecond. I must have looked like crashtest dummy as my head flew forward getting jammed up against the cab door window and between the wiper motor and the door grab bar. Then the rest of my body followed completing the over-center condition effectively locking my body in place against the door. I had to use both arms to force myself away from the door. When I came-to my eyeglasses were bent and my neck clicked like crazy. As Mr. Rogers would say: "Can you say: whiplash? Sure, sure, I knew you could." LOL It hurt for over a month. What a way to make $100.

A clean cut-off seems electrical and my guess would be a safety switch. Next time it happens I'd record any flash codes that appear and then try to clean the seat safety switch connections or jumper across the switch.

They are the same part number but the new housing on mine looks heavier. The new one also looks a little different near the loader attachment than the old broken one did.

We just started using the rear discharge Woods and love it. Don't have to worry about what direction you mow and it cuts as neet as our belly mowed but a lot faster.

No, leaving the deck on while doing loader work just isn't a good idea.
Find out if the deck on the Deere is the new driveover deck. I haven't saw one used but did look one over at a dealership. Deere claims that you never get off the seat to mount or dismount the mower deck. That would be a slick deal.

So we had the Master Shield gutter protection installed and it really seems it should do the trick. I took a six inch piece, tilted it at various angles under a faucet running full blast. It was impressive, every drop of water went through the screen from nearly perpendicular to nearly parallel to the water flow. I never would have believed that. We haven't had any rain since it was installed but here are the pros and cons as I see them now.<br>

Pros:<br>
- Completely encloses gutter so debris can't get in<br>
- The enclosed gutter will keep wasps from building nests<br>
- The screen is so fine that fir needles cannot get in<br>
- I really think this will put an end to all gutter cleaning<br>
- Wide color selection allowed us to choose a perfect match<br>

Cons:<br>
- Difficult to install, it took two hard working guys two full days to install 270 linear feet (very complex roof line, steep roof and 3 story house) Lots of fabrication by hand necessary to fully enclose gutters<br>
- It only comes in 4' sections so that affects the look. It's hard to make a bunch of 4' sections look seamless.<br>
- Relatively expensive<br>
- Protection is at it's weakest at inside corners, where water flow will be at the highest and gutter protector area at it's smallest. Installers said that in the worst case we may need to hose those areas down once in awhile to wash the debris completely off. In our case the worst areas are the easiest to reach so that should be ok.<br>

Woods is another manufacturer that makes skid steer quick attaches for older Kubota loaders. I thought about adding their quick attach and new buckets on my last Kubota, but when I looked at the cost of a new cab tractor with Woods FEL and BH, I traded the whole package down the road.

I agree with Murf. If you can find a small used loader from one of the "shortline" brands, they can probably get you the a new mounting kit to fit your tractor like a new one for a lot less money. I've looked at used compact tractors that are totally worn out, but the loader is so simple it's still in good shape.

It sure sounds like it was run low on oil and one of the the bearings is going away. The less bearing, the more friction as it warms up. If it's getting worse, time will tell.
