Turfs will carry the weight. Suggestions are correct. And you are right to consider the tread type.

Doesn't sound like you'll need the traction of the ags. Their deeper lugs better protecting against damage is more of a concern on construction sites.

You could get a little garden tractor for not much more than a mower for the Kubota, and save some on-and-off work.
On the other hand, a tractor lasts a long time, and maybe in a few years your heavy projects will be finished and you'll use it mainly for lawn mowing.

The only info I have is from the book you sold me . The 1210 Ford which is "supposed" to be the same machine has the 723 engine . They are specific about all the other engines as far as the bore being the same as the stroke . If you are sure that the bore is 71 do you know the stroke ? Could this be some kind of experimental engine ? It is my understanding that they sold tractors to Ford/New Holland and the 1603 was the Ford 1210 . Everything that I have found in the books are exactly the same EXCEPT for the engine . I would appreciate any help you could give me in this matter .

We were able to use the G1900 today. I stuck my finger in the tank to feel the consistency of the diesel fuel, it just didn't feel right, smelled like diesel, but dripped like water. We got a can of fuel additive in the tank, it sort of ran ok after that, the exhaust was quite black, not grayish, and left black sediment on the hood that when rubbed, just smeared, like oil, used WD40 to clean the paint.

I'm going to drain the tank on the big Kubota though, and purge the system. it's older and probably needs a good cleaning anyway.

I'd like to find something used to save the dollars but I'm coming up short on craigslist and local adverts.

I bought my John Deere 790 at a place run by Lucky Phillips up in PA and there was an amish place close by called Weaver's (I think) that had tons of 3pt attachments by King Kutter, etc.....don't recall if they had used or their price on new stuff.

I'll keep lookin.

UPDATE: So I couldnt get the top off the tranny/PTO.. had to use a cutoff wheel to notch it out a bit so I could pry it off.. was glued together with honda bond or something similar..

Once the top was off, it turned out the little knob on the bottom of the shifter was out of it's groove and jammed in there pretty good.. no idea how it popped out of there, but was a simple fix.. thankfully :)

I'd like to take you up on the manual, been having a tough time finding one..

As you said it is a preference issue and certianly not an issue to leave any hard feelings over, I'll take a look at the Kubota video.
Someone either now has or is coming with a CVT transmission in a compact. I have driven them in full size Deere demo tractors, they are a true gear drive and really quite a simple design. Frank

I just bought a new case 45 cab tractor from Woodbury tractor in Woodbury CT,, This is the exact same tractor as the NH2320 with maroon instead of blue paint, at least this is what I believe to be true,.. If you have to go as far as Binghamton, why not go to White farm supply, who is on here almost daily. They have an enormous following, been in business forever, and I have only read very positive remarks for their company and how they treat customers,

I have a MF 1030 standard transmission. I have had the left side brake lock up to the point it will not turn. I am in the process of replacing the discs (3) each side. They are the wet type and I am unable to locate replacement discs at a reasonable. Has anyone had this lock up problem and do you know where I can purchase new discs.

Thanks to all. I got the parts from Tommy (affordable) and got them in, took about two hours so not to bad. Added the oil and so far no more leaks.

A couple of minor points: There are two gaskets that I didn't order that would have been nice to have. One for the top under the grease cert (#22 on parts page) and a spacer gasket under that arm foot (#7). There's also one for the bottom (#55?) that I took off that didn't need to be removed but I didn't know that until it was too late. Other than that it wasn't to bad. Total for parts - about $20.

My Grandson owns a kubota rv90 ridevator which have just about finished restoring ,He Has a Rotary Hoe With It And Is Mainly Used For Machinery Displays ,He Does Need A Starter Motor or clues on where to find one and information on the gearbox set up,IE it appears to have a clutch on the right side which i presume is to do with the rotary hoe which we have not refiited as yet
