I will be gone for a few days but can check all that over the weekend. Its hard to do anything with a tractor that you can walk faster than. If this doesnt work I will let you know. I just bought it used from Craigslist.

I've got an '02 22D. I forgot to look at today but the service manual doesn't show any pix of the area in question.

You might want6 to talk to a few "strict liability" attorneys. I did when I had problems with my NH skid steer. I happened to have called my dealer's attorney whio wouldn't take my case---but I have a hunch he called the dealer and gave him a heads up because long-story-short NH bought my loader and gave me a $13,000 discount. (yeah, I am a name dropper when I have to be LOL)

You may want to call around to shops that specialize in machine repair---I think the area in question is cast iron--I think. It may be able to be brazed or silver soldered---not sure.

I have a circa 1991 Kubota L3350 farm/landscape tractor with about 3500 hrs. that I'd like to get a value on. Used lightly as #2 tractor the last 5 years. Has shuttle shift, SMC (model 94Q) loader w/ 72" bucket. 40HP (33HP at PTO), tires 60%+, new clutch 5 yrs ago, runs great. Could use a new seat. <br>

Anyone know what I should ask for it? I'm thinking $6500-$7500, but I've seen some with much lower hrs. sell for over $10,000 in the last 2 years. Any thoughts?

I have exactly the same model 4300 HST and the shifter has always seemed stiff going from range A to C through neutral. I have o really push the lever hard, most times it just stays in B.

Per Woods' website it looks like the Ground Breaker Hoe is built for skide steer machines. Did not see any quick reference to using on tractor so would guess any mounts or adapter would be yours to have made. Would also suspect the tractors hyd are not sufficient for a skid steer attachments. But you might could use a 3 pth pto pump if there is room for it. Now will your Massey handle it, my GUESS is no.

I just purchased a used 05 CX gator and it does not seem all the loud to me. About equal to a gas golf cart.
I think your neighbors need to start up their lawn mower and see which one makes more noise!

Mine has the 10 HP engine, which I think is the 290, I would need to go out and check for sure. They might of did something before it picked it up, as it runs better now. The hour meter shows 144 hours, and the machine looks like new (almost). I made a hitch and installed yesterday and now have to either get just the Brake/Tail light kit or the Deluxe light kit installed. Found them on eBay for $132/$242 plus shipping. Since we might be using after dark down at the lake, and on the lake roads I would feel safer with lights on at the rear. Hoping my local JD dealer would give me a "special" price as I buy a lot from them... we will see! Thanks for the reply!!

This thread was very helpful to me about a month ago. I had a similar issue this winter and last. The problem went away last Spring when the weather got warmer.
My problem turned out to be the thermistor, aka "chiclet".
A few days before replacing it, I had success starting the tractor after aiming a blow dryer at the thermistor for about 15 minutes.
Instead of soldering the new one on, I used crimp connectors on the wiring with heat-shrink tubing over the connections. I was able to pull the fuse panel out on the right side enough for easy access to the old thermistor
I haven't had any more start problems. Cost of the thermistor was about $3.50

If anyone with a 2005 or earlier CX or CS is thinking about upgrading their manual dump to a power dump, there are a couple available On eBay. There one listing that is fairly expensive, but there another listing that has them for $395, free shipping, and "best offer" is available. FWIW, I "best offered" $350 and it was accepted immediately. you might even be able to do better than that. I also had a 15% off coupon from eBay, so I ended up getting IT for less than $300. Still seems a bit expensive for a switch, a few wires a pump/cylinder and a couple brackets, but if you've got to have one that's probably about as cheap as you'll find the real JD kit. <br>

hey cheif,
could you possibly email me the manual for the kubota l245dt 4wd tractor. my neighbour has just purchased an old one, but the 4wd shaft is missing,,,,, thats the shaft that has a spline on either end that fits over the stubbie axles of the front and back axles then the splined sleeves slip over to keep the shaft in place in place.
As i work in engineering i may be able to make a new shaft, but i think the splines would be difficult to replicate so looks like i may need a new shaft, or modify one to suit with a square drive rather than the splines.
