I know you were enquiring after engine manuals last year. Does this mean you don't have tractor manuals either? Because clutch adjustment and alignment specs and procedures are in the tractor Operations & Maintenance manual

Gear-drive, schmeerdrive--I tell ya. You have much more control and start-out torque with a HST. Gear drives are for guys who just want to put it in gear and ride the clutch.

I'm way past that. I've got the whole thing disassembled to the point where the column is wide open all the way down to the frame. I even took off the speed set lever and it's whole housing and conecting arms because it was in the way. I've already checked the fluid lines and the mounting bolts. Everything is tight and dry. So I believe it's an internal seal at the base of the steering column where it attaches to the valve- it isn't leaking out there, but the whole housing is probably filling with fluid until it sort of bubbles out the top, just under the steerign wheel. I think i need a parts diagram at this point.

I recently sold a tractor that had the same problem--it was honey bees that nested in the flywheel housing.

I have heard of rust developing in the clutch area and even clutches rusting to the flywheel. But 7 days is awfully short for that to happen. Have you tried several times to loosen her up by depressing the clutch?

One other thing. I don't know the size, weight, and drive system of Farmalls, but:

With an angle blade, you'll likely want to change the angle in use, and also may find that the angled blade pushes your rig off course. But if you gt a V blade, the mount would be a simple on and off, and in most applications, less pressure pushing the tractor to the side.

I've had my Agricat 2920 (Jinma 254) for over 6 years and I've never regretted it. I paid less than the $9,000.00 delivered with a nice KayKoker fel. I've had a few minor things but it has done everything that I wanted it to do; plow snow, move dirt, lift logs, and mow the field. I'm not a professional so I don't need a hydrostatic tranny or anything to fancy. Just a good solid 40 or 50 hours/year work machine, and the guys here are great when it come to helping with questions or problems.

Murf, the tracked blower is nearly new--like only few hours on it if that. It was given to him for the same reason--it wouldn't work well. I looked at the tracks. The tracks have ribs about 3/8" wide about 2" apart. That could be the problem. And there are no boggie wheels to provide more down pressure. I gave him a bag of ATV tire ice screws but there's not enough meat in the tread to hold them. The track compound has a lot to do with it too.

I haven't looked up the code, but for safety switches it seems easy to just jumper across them and see which switch is causing the trouble.
