I have a Kubota B7800 with a LA402 loader. I was cleaning the loader detent as instructed by a mechanic to clear up a jamming loader control and while it was taken apart I lost the 4 small check balls and 1 large one that go in the detent. My dealer was no help other than offering to sell me a $140 dollar rebuild kit. Can anyone tell me the sizes of those balls so I can come up with alternatives?

Hi:

I currently have a flail mower on the three-point. The flail is great during the off season when I don't have to cut the grass in the orchard as often - I can let it get up to six feet tall before cutting and the flail does just fine.

During harvest season I need to keep the grass down short - under a foot - or the harvest crew gets grumpy; for this I could use the mid-mount mower and take the flail off freeing up the tow-hitch and the rear PTO for the spreader that I use to spread the mill pulp. I currently have to switch between the flail and spreader during harvest season.

I'm just trying to add another implement to the utility belt that is the tractor.

It is the 6X4. I will have to get the model off the engine block. It is about 3 - 4 inches taller than the old one. We had to cut the belly pan out of the machine and reweld a deeper pan to allow for the engine oil pan. The motor came out of a John Deere front mount mower.

I have a 2020 ProGator, year 2000 model with a Yanmar 3 cyl. gas engine. Can any one tell me what the normal operating temperature range is, in Degrees Fahrenheit? Also what is the temperature the cooling fan comes on at and the temperature it goes off at. The reason I am asking this is because my temperature gauge has gone bad. It did not have numbers on it only a black line scale with a red line at the end if you know what I mean. It does not appear that the engine is overheating. I plan on installing an electrical water temperature gauge with numbers instead of the original equipment due to the cost of the replacement from John Deere $500. + for the Instrument Cluster, any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Being conscious of your habits and making corrections to preserve resources for our children is the moral and right thing to do. Recycle and do what you can to keep our environment clean.

On the other hand, the current "movement" is simply a way to control people through the use of scare tactics and junk science. We would be better off increasing the littering fines incrementally, to financially painful levels and enforcing them. And for those that claim they have no income to pay, we pick up the litter on weekends.

I suspect if the blower is a few years old it has just worn down from all the sandy slushy snow running through it.

I'd be adding strips of rubber not steel if it was me. Less fuss and no balancing concerns.

Not familiar with the Kioti but you may have to drain from more than one location, clean an internal filter, change an external one, and put in the right amount of either hyd oil or hyd/trans fluid. If the changeover doesn't cure, we can look at other things.

I don't know much about that engine, but I have seen some injectors that had a sort of plastic sleeve around the body of the injector that was the pick up for the return line.

If that is the case I suspect you are right and something overheated that part and melted it, that would explain the leak, it is the excess fuel that should be going back to the tank.

I wouldn't reuse the 'crush washer' either, they are a one shot deal or a reason, they deform when torqued to the proper spec. and don't allow enough compression for a second torquing. It may work, but not for very long. You may also damage the seat of the injector or the seat in the head by allowing the injector to go to far down into the head using an already compressed washer.

I believe that in most cases people are just against a Goobermint mandated waste of money as a knee-jerk reaction to an unfortunate accident that in almost every case would never have occurred had the operator been better trained, or just used some plain old-fashioned common sense.

As some wise old person said, "unfortunately common sense has become rather UNCOMMON these days".

Witness 3 wheeled ATV's that had to be outlawed because people would operate them carelessly (and or drunk) and then get hurt. I've had one since 1985 (yikes that's now nearly a quarter of a century!!) and never tipped it or had any instability problems with it yet. I know many others in the same situation.

That's my problem, I get a little too 'optimistic' and the right foot goes down a titch too far. So far however, I've only had a couple of close calls, in 2 cases dropping the snowplow did the trick, in the other (sans plow) the gravel of the shoulder gave enough traction to keep me on the road.<br>

Coming home just yesterday my good lady was driving my ride and I mentioned that she could pick it up a little, she was doing a little below the limit, around here 10 mph over is 'normal speed'.<br>

She eloquently pointed out that being me being quiet and enjoying the drive was still going to be a LOT faster than me walking home. ;)<br>

How well it is built will not overcome an inherently faulty design.

The perfect design relies completely on the construction being performed to the specs that were inherent to the design.

The two concepts go hand in hand. In the first instance I suppose you could use the carburetor as an example when employed in mass production vehicles. The absolute best built carburetor is easily surpassed in reliability by a simple (perhaps even averagely built) fuel injection system, today you don't see any carburetors in vehicle production, the design is just not durable enough. On the other hand optical lenses used in most scientific instruments are relatively easy to design but require extremely tight manufacturing tolerances to work properly and the care and expertise required in manufacture is the primary reason for their high cost.

Hi. This is Bob ...4 years after my last post. I bought and built a 36 x 60 x 12H Miracle Truss steel bldg. in Jan 2005. It's a great building -- maintenance free. I would not recommend wood -- my two wood buildings have been attacked by termites. No problem with steel. See my post from 4 years back. Using the snowmobile index, I haven't seen a single snowmobile out this year. Last time it snowed this much they were all over. After Jan 20th I'm sure the economy will miraculously improve (at least in the media).

I've talked to the dealer / service rep a few times. I've replaced the thermostat and they had me ground the temp sender and the guage would peg to the hot. So the guage is working and the sender is not.

I've ordered a new sender and also added a piece of card board to the front of the radiator with a hole in the center of it.

I must say, I'm getting very good at draining the radiator... ;)

Had 20 hours on my new blue TC33D and the starter goes out. Mechanic makes a field service call to my job site. I'm standing about 100 feet away talking with my client as the mechanic looking at me from the other side of the machine drops the $600 plastic engine side cover. He bends down still looking at me as he picks it up and wipes it off as if he keeps eye contact I won't notice. Yep, sure enough, it was scratched when it slid down the dirty back tire.

Same dealer, same machine: I complained my seat back had paint rubbing off as it rubbed the slow moving vehicle triangle bracket. Fix: As I rounded the shop corner "big-ass" is just getting off my machine. He sprayed black paint on the seat back---didn't tape or cover anything around it--nor did he even CLEAN the seat back---right over the dirt.

I took a walk through the service area one time before dropping off my $47,000 skid steer for its 50-hour service. I'm seeing NEW $150,000 tractors with their engine covers laying on dirty concrete; some were stacked on top of each other like old newspapers!

So I grabbed the service mangler...er...manager by the proverbial neck, showed him and told him THAT better NOT happen to MY stuff! "Yes sir, it won't". So I told him that it already DID to my other machine. He just sakes his head like "yeah, we got dumbasses working here". Gosh, I love making friends.
