DRankin, I believe you are correct, I was using the loader to push back snow yesterday and noted the smell was strongest after retracting cylinders.

I ran a diesel Polaris 4*4 quad in an underground mine. Got many flats. Filled the tires with foam and no flats. Ride was stiffer but you get used to it over time.

I live in the NE as well. Northern Ct. and I have a horseshoe driveway that is about 500 to 600 ft long and a fairly large parking lot area (all stone and millings) along with blowing a path in a 2 acre pasture. I originally handled it with a BX22 with a front mount and handled it just fine (threw 10 to 14" just fine). I traded it for a L2800 a couple of years ago and just last week replaced it with a L3540. It wasn't because of the snow removal capability. I needed more loader, 3PT and BH capability. I am currently using a 3pt rear blower because I did not want to lose my FEL for the winter and the cost of a front mount (approx. 6500.00). That said I miss having a front mount snow blower. The cost of a bx series front mount is also a little more than half of what it would be on the L series tractor if I am not mistaken. Don't know how much for the B series front blower. The Bx series tractor is the biggest little tractor you will ever find and the maneuverability with it for nursery work would be an advantage. The loader specs on my BX22. was around 480 #'s. Now the BX's are up around 760#'s plus. The Bh on it is really strong. Good luck on whatever you decide. I am definitely a believer in the Kubota line up.

Just an update. I actually spoke to the technician who looked at the problem. I cannot feel comfortable about the whole thing (not the technician, the place he works). So, I have instructed them to just send it back to my barn as is. I'll find someone who is more reasonable in January.

My B2400 fuel solonoid went bad so i put palm of hand over air intake and it shuts down. Make sure you turn key off to save battery.

There are few devices in this world that are more standardized than a tractor's rear hitch. So just take some photos or draw a sketch and take it to a tractor dealer and ask for someone in Service or Parts. They can advise you what, if anything, to buy, and how to adjust. They may want to know what "Category" (size) your hitch takes. I'd bet Cat I, but you could measure the thickness of one of the pins that go into the three receivers, which will tell them.

I don't know what a 755 is, but in case my experience is relevant,

-mine would never budge from hand-pushing on a hard level surface, even when new. And when I'd forget to release the brake-on-lock, you could tell from the moment you tried to drive it.

-3,000 hours and 30 years later, I serviced the brakes. Linings like new. Some return-springs had stretched and were easy to replace. Linkages (right to the pedals) were cleaned and oiled, I think the main accomplishment.

Really appreciate all the helpful smarts. Do have a voltmeter, hygrometer, load tester, and various chargers, but this application is unusual. I keep a one-amp charger on each of two summer vehicles in another location, so any changes are gradual and inconvenient to measure. One of the chargers makes a slight hum when working, the other doesn't. So I just wanted to know how to do a basic test of a charger, and the answer seems to be that it should show a 12-v difference between the clips.

If you don't normally get this much snow, I'd stay with the loader and bucket for the winter. If you find yourself fighting the snow again next winter, it might be time to invest in some snow removal equipment.

The cheapest way to go is to use what you have, and make do. If you decide to invest in a blower, get yourself a good one. You'll never regret having the right tool for the job.

You don't have to buy a new blower. They're often available at auctions. Look for a used one this coming summer. See if you can find one that fits your budget.

It may need to be posted over and over and over to get people to realize what they have placed their faith in. A week after the election there were people asking a local bank was their check deposited yet. This was no on the news but was told by the employees, so I trust it. Just wonder who they voted for? :-( It does concern me when they realize they were lied to from the first change promise.
