The lifter capacity is 9 liters. If you have a loader, the total capacity is even higher. So - unless your sump is nearly dry - topping up with a little AW32 isn't likely to make a noticeable difference. Won't hurt, but ain't likely to help.

If you don't use the tractor during the winter - or can afford to wait the necessary warmup time - you might get by till June. But understand that - if that suction screen is badly clogged - pump damage due is possible during the warmup period. For regular winter use I'd suggest draining out whatever's in there, and putting in a fresh fill of AW32. The thinner fluid will have less difficulty getting through a cold/dirty screen. Then come spring you can clean the suction screen and flush the system.

WE have been working with a customer complaint of jumpy steering on one with only 62 hours on it. We did forget to go to the basic's!!!! After changing the steering box, a lot of time checking tires, gears and all other things involved in the steering. It was mentioned after we got started that it wasn't that way when new! Asking how long ago he started noticing it, was about the time he changed the filters and did service! We changed the hydraulic filter and all is well!!! We actually gained 250 PSI on the relief valve setting with one thing that is basic!!!! We should have done it first!!!!!!

Even new can be bad and with the chances that a manufacturer that wants to enhance his own machines can have one come out bad. Just think of what you might get with a filter that only has to match a price point!

I'd ballpark $5500-7500 depending on condition of the tractor itself and on the conditions of sale.

It's a grey-market Yanmar -- Zen-noh is a Japanese agricultural (especially rice) conglomerate that buys and leases out a lot of them, and wholesales them out early in their life-span.

My estimate assumes it's 4WD. The "D" at the end of a Yanmar model-number always indicates this, but I'm not familiar with "bd."

I just saw your post from September. I also have a 220 which has served me well although I have broken quite a few items on it. (Probably my fault due to overstressing this size of tractor) Anyway, did you solve your problems with it? I've had to replace or repair a few 3 point hitch items on mine also.

If you are talking about those triangular track gizmos that replace the tires, don't bother.

They suck up a lot of power, and in a small machine like that that translates into slower, a LOT slower.

I know several people who spent a poop load of money on them for 4X4 ATV's, the only person I know who was happy with them is an old fella who liked to go so slow that a snowmobile would bog in the snow it wouldn't even float. Everyone else just got a different machine like a Argo or a Bombi-cat.

Gentlemen, everything sounds good, but I haven't heard anybody talk about the front linkage. There can be ZERO play in the shift linkage. Any play at all will be picked up in the transaxle shift arm and cause it to grind. That's why the springs are at all the pivot points. If the front spring is broken and allows play in the linkage it will transfer back to the transaxle and cause it to grind. Low one thousands rpm should be plenty low to shift a transaxle if you shift it firmly. And yes, the driven clutch will always be rotating.

Let's see,

Honda Civic wagon (1991 RT4WD version, great car) I think 12 rims. Invested in a new set of rims last year as I was tired of the old rusty set going flat every 5 days. So I am down to 4 rims and tires for summer and winter. I suppose I could dispose of the rusty four at this point.

1995 Jetta, for my wife, 8 rims and tires, summer and winter. Has a pancake spare (I never heard it called that, but I like it) but since those aren't worth a darn, carry a full size from off season. A practice that is a side benefit of the winter and summer set lifestyle.

Full size Chevy G30 cargo van, last of a line of many. Hopefully Latest, though, not last. Tires and rims for summer and winter. Also have full 8 from previous van that was coincident with this one. And then there are at least another 8 under the barn from 3/4 ton vans of older vintage, But those are 5 lug, 15 inch and won't fit on the current van. Things have a way of stacking up as long as there is empty space in a barn..

The BMW R1150R has only one set of tires, not even a spare, but it only runs on thawed pavement.

I know a lot of people, even here in VT, go with all season tires summer and winter. For myself, I have looked at the factors and chosen to go with specialized tires suited to the extremes of each season. It might not be a necessity, but I feel good on the road with them and in the long haul, I don't think it costs me any more.

Im not an "Expert", BUT....we just cut the frame out of a wrecked 4x2 and noticed that it would not shift into forward. If you check the linkage, like he was saying, you will see that it's not fully engaging. you can loosen the linkage, push the linkage by hand into the Forward gear, make sure the gear shifter is in the Forward position and tighten it down, it should be spot on when you go to put it in reverse. It was an easy fix for us. The wrecked Gator lives again, you shoulda seen'er

Cut throwing the debris into where you are cutting next pass. I begin on the outside and cut in with discharge chute throwing in and it works fine for me. You may have to make a few passes throwing the debris out when you get all cut.

Back to working on that mound. Only need to move about 3 to 6 thousand yards so not that big of job. Thinking on little red wagon.

Son in law did get I think a fair price to move it and level of $3 per yard. That was when business was not as slow as now. Have reverted to my first plan, small dump truck and time.

Auerbach, I'm with ya on that one. If a couple of gauges are the only problems (which seems to be the case), then just let it ride. Everything else seems to be working pretty good. But, since it's not an old machine (only five years old with about 1000 hours) I'd like to think things ought to work correctly. If those sending units turn out to be hella expensive, then I might just run it the way it is. :)

There is a difference in dealing with problems and dealing with memory. My Dad passed away this Jan 3rd 39 years ago. If you want a list of what he and I did that day can tell you for that day is locked almost detail by detail in my memory. Appreciate what he gave you and what he left you. Enjoy it and build on it. Remember you only miss those you love. No doubt with Christmas so near the memories are more tender than you may wish.

Well, I used to use the tractor all the time- I had 8 acres or so that I mowed with it along with using the FEL all the time. Now I'm on less than a third of an acre- i look pretty ridiculous mowing with it! Four swipes and its done, so I don't use it much other than snow removal. I just picked up my parts, and I'm headed out to put it all back together- the day after the nor'easter and a few hours with a shovel. Perfect timing!

A used B9200, in working order, (4-wheel drive) would sell for about $4000.00 - $4500.00 from a private owner.

If you purchase it from a dealer, you'll probably pay about $5500.00 - $6500.00

If it comes with a loader, you should add about $2000.00 - $2500.00 dollars to the price.

The nice thing about Kubota tractors is that they hold their value. You could own that B9200 for another 10 years and probably not lose a grand on it. During those 10 years, you could put that Kubota to work and increase your property value by $15,000!
