We've been living here for eight years and all our vehicles have had lots of flats, brand of tire or price paid really doesn't seem to matter. We've had Firestone, Bridgestone, Toyo, Michelin, Pirelli, Goodyear, BF Goodrich and Dunlop and assorted off brands. In my tire days some designs did seem to be more prone to flats. The gravel road takes it's toll too, the best tires never get more than 30k miles.

BCAAFD,

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't fit on the SC2400.

However, you should check with Cub Cadet / Yanmar to make sure that you won't be voiding the warranty by using an attachment that isn't approved for use with that tractor.

If Cub Cadet / Yanmar has no problem with it, the good folks here will tell you to make sure you purchase the frame-mounted hoe. Those 3-point mounted backhoes seem to cause all kinds of grief.

I forgot one item in the procedure I described above; while cold starting, the hand throttle should be at about 50 percent. <br>

Plus, the Y385 engine is a notorious hard starter anyway. I mentioned ~25A draw on a cold engine on purpose. Colder it gets, the more it will draw. Middle of winter it can be nearly 30A. But for this weather, ~25A should be normal. If you see less, you may simply have one or more bad glow plugs.<br>

See if you can get Northern to send you a new set. Even at that, some have been known to be bad right outa the box. Do resistance checks on them before installation. <br>

I have the same tractor and came to the same conclusion about the 3pt hitch storage. Everything fits nicely in a 26" tool box.

OK, green & yellow almost certainly marks it as an AgriCat. Back in the 90s, John Deere sued Jinma (and maybe even AgriCat) over that particular color scheme. But the Y385 engine in 2wd makes it an AgriCat 2910T, essentially a rebadged JM250. <br>

We use ditch bank cutters run purely off hydraulic motors. Simple and effective. They are articluted on a long reach arm similar to a backhoe or mini excavator. some are articulated to go vertical to cut high tree limbs along the ditch. If you lack hydraulic flow and PSI, simply use a PTO driven pump with reservoir to allow for expansion and cooling with an appropriate-sized hydraulic motor.

(Picture a Swisher-brand tow-behind string trimmer--but not a gas-driven one)
If you're inventive enough you could modify the hitch to an existing rotary cutter or mower and make it swing or extend to one side while mowing the bank. When not needed to be offest it could return to the center position. Having it offset on the bank would require a ballast opposite the mower but that could include or be the hydraulic reservoir and mounting assembly. SurplusCenter.com now offers PTO-splined hydraulic motors that IMHO should bolt right up to an existing cutter replacing the PTO shaft.

BTW, the articulated boom-type mowers we use here are great for reaching over road signs and mailboxes, so Kenny if you are leaning toward mounting a mower on your excavator, this may be an option. Keep in mind like I told you privately though, you can't expect to "travel" down the road mowing "doot-ty dooo" without rapid wear to the undercarriage---rubber tracks, rollers, bearings and especially the drive motors. They just ain't made to do that for long. (I have done it for another guy, and seen it done in Katrinaland where albeit "anything goes" driving a full-size excavator a mile or two down the highway shoulder for lack of a trailer (or sense---or both).

Anecdote: SPeaking of anything goes down there, one day driving on a major highway I came upon a Chevy S-10 pulling a 16' car hauler with a full-size Ford LTD. Normally, this woulbn't be a big deal or even worth mentioning. However, and this is a big HOWEVER...the car wasn't on the trailer---the guys apparently didn't have ramps. So bless their lil' redneck hearts they got the Ford as far as the front bumper which was resting on the very back end of the trailer! Son of a .... it was working! I quickly passed them trying to get a pix on my cell phone which diodn't work. I thought it best not to hear about a three-car-pile up with only two drivers involved.

And yes, I'm jis' sayin' ya'all.

Oh yeah, then there was the guy who had a flat tire and was sitting in gas staion parking lot trying to figure how he gonna remove the tire without a jack or a wrench. Lucky for him I had a compressor and impact wrench with me. I asked him for the proper sized metric socket and he said he might have one in the trunk. I'm sure you've all heard the saying, "everything is in there including the kitchen sink". This time it was not a metaphor. There it was--a used, banged up two-bowl kitchen sink! But no tools. I had a good laugh. Oddly or rather predictably, he didn't think it funny. Oh me.

i dont think so . the motor turns over great just no fire on the spark plug or plug wire. the only safety switch i can find is the one on the gear shifter that wont let the engine turn over without it in neutral.

p.s. if any one has a wiring digram i could look at i can atleast diagnos it better i think. thanks

I own a Itc UC25HD Compact Tractor that was Manufactured in Pennsylvania in 1998. I believe the Itc Company is now out of Buisness. They manufactured a Large line of Tractors. Does anyone have any Info. on these Tractors, or possibly implements for sale.<br>

Ken, we have been selling and using them for years. About the time a model of a tractor is out of build by two models the attachments also go! Sometimes it's only one model out that the attachments aren't available.

When going into the parts bin you can normally double or triple the price of the original kit to add a valve this way and these are an economical way around the costs. The best part of it is you can take it with you if you decide to change your tractor.

Fasse has been around the industry for some time and we've used them to build hydro electric valve banks for operating everything from potato harvesters to snowgroomers drags.

Tractor is assembled and ready to use. It ships via truck and when it arrives in town the truck driver arranges for a flat bed tow truck to unload the tractor to and the tow truck driver delivers the tractor to your door. The tractor is driven off the tow truck at your property.

Ron,

In order to cover the wheel tracks with a tiller, you're going to need a tractor with a minimum of 30hp.

You might be able to get by with a slightly smaller tractor, but you'll have to go very slow with the tiller, and make several passes, going a bit deeper with each successive pass.

Turf tires will increase the width of a tractor by a quite a bit, as the turf tires are much wider than ag (R1) tires. If you have ag tires on the tractor, and move the wheels in to the narrowest setting, you might be able to cover the wheel tracks using a 50" tiller.......and therefore you might be able to get by with a tractor in the 25hp range.
