Hello all.<br>

Finally got this tractor split open this weekend. Was quite surprised at the amount of rust inside the clutch crankcase. I suspect what happened was the owner parked this thing out in the open, under a partial shade tree, on the North side of his barn. It looks like the rust was caused by condensation building inside the cold crankcase as a result of the crankcase mass being cold during the day, and moisture being drawn in through the cracks and seams of the assembly, where it condensed and froze everything together. We really had to do some work to get the clutch shaft out of the clutch case, using heat, WD-40, and a persuader to get it out, after first emery cloth to clean the shaft up.<br>

So, now for parts. Does anyone have a good resource for supplying, or alternative suggestions? We'll need -<br>

Pressure plate<br>
Spring (from clutch crankcase to throwout yoke)<br>
Throwout bearing<br>
Yoke support shaft (holds throwout bearing and has lever which clutch pedal linkage attaches.).<br>
Transmission pilot bearing (for end of crankshaft).<br>
Pressure plate bolts.<br>
Drive shaft cover seal.<br>
Hydraulic line O-rings (at pump. The lines that had to be disconnected to break tractor apart, not associated with the FEL.).<br>
Transmission fluid site glass and O-ring.<br>
Left and right wheel seal kit for 4WD.<br>
Fan belt<br>
<br>
And, any suggestions on resurfacing the flywheel?<br>

2003 B7800. with loader and back hoe. 453 hours. Used to clear some space (light stumping), minor grading, snow plowing on 1200 ft gravel driveway in winter), and earth material movement.

BS...er...BA, lemme bring ya up to speed, son: I have been back since March of '07--gone for a year and a half. That's a year and a half I'll never get back!

$90! I bought one from TSC new for $50--they had a bunch that got separated from the implements and were more than happy to off them cheap. I'll sell it to you for $85 plus shipping. Not.

I understand your desire to confront them since that is the "old" me. In today's environment, manners no longer matter. I have learned to be the "victim" in places that are run by people that don't seem to care about what goes on in their establishment, that is all they understand.

The old me would have grabbed the walkie-talkie from the fats and dunked it in their milkshakes.

You know those labs that you can send an oil sample for analysis? I think some of them do coolant analysis too, and the results would be interesting. I'm a little leery of using automotive coolants in diesels and would recommend that you buy the Kubota stuff.

Hi Chris, I have a Kubota B7800 HST, it works great. I am doing something simliar to what you are doing also, but on the East Coast. I bought 10 acres of land in the mountains of up state NY. Had three acres forested to build a house and for the last year I have been cleaning up the mess they left, tree tops, stumps , dead or rotten trunks. I am down to my last 9 or ten stumps now. The Kubota hasn't failed to amaze me. the BH75 back hoe handles almost any stump up to about 18 inches in diameter. Digging is not the issue, it is getting the stumps out of the hole you dig. In the last 18 months that I have owned my Kubota, I got about 300+ hours on it. I was brand new to this when I started, but the more you do the better you get. As far as tires go, I have the R4 and they are loaded for extra traction. I have had no problems with them including blowing snow, but because of the weight of the tire they can cause rutting when the ground is soft. I plan to get a mower once I finish landscaping. But I do have a smaller riding tractor for that also, so it will a toss of the coin in which I use to mow with. Once concern could be if you have a septic system, the Kubota could be a little heavy to go over the leech field. Hope this helps. PS the only problem that I had was a bent bucket cylinder rod, I replaced it with the upgrade actuator. they increased the rod dia. by 5mm.

Thanks guys. Today is about 95 days just got off crutches yesterday ("OFFICIALY") been practicing without for a week or so. I can go up and down stairs like a normal person again. Have a little problem going down with ankle and knee flex. Going up better BUT know I have lost some muscle. Leg still gets tired but much better than a month ago.

The leg is healing good. I was very lucky that was all that got broke.

Well gents thanks to all for the suggestions! I saturated all the linkage with a lubricant and I can now control PTO from the seat of my tractor. Thanks again!

The 3520 is a big machine...It could handle mowing dry land only, wet and you will sink and leave ruts all over the place. I have the 2520(1000 lbs lighter) to mow 4-5 acres and criss cross directions weekly on dry land and i can feel the ruts i left the week before. Will you really use the 3520 much after all your work is done? If so then buy the 3520 and get another lawn mower for the lawn itself.

I'm sure I am too late with this but I ran across an answer to your question when I was troubleshooting my problem yesterday. This is verbatim out of my owners manual: The hydraulic manifold block/diverter valve is located on the right-hand side of the tractor below the platform. The manifold block distributes pumpoil to the PTO valve, HPL valve, optional rear remote valves, optional front remote valve, and the transmission/rear axle reservoir.

The diverter valve can be turned with a blade screwdriver. In the 1 o'clock position hydraulic fluid is directed to the HPL valve and rear remotes (optional). When a front remote valve is plumbed to the three ports- (pressure out, pressure return, and sump or tank) the diverter valve must be turned counterclockwise to 11 o'clock position for hydraulic fluid flow to the front remote valve and the to the HPL valve.
