A lifting system is kinda what I thought. Greg, no I dont think its a Lilliston Clipper, just has a decal that says Clipper, on the tail-wheel assembly is a plate with a mfg co. in Ala plus it is a fairly new mower ( I dont know if the entire mower built in Al or if just the tailwheel). I recently bought a Yanmar 1500D tractor. The right rear axial has a leak. I assume the problem can be corrected by replacing the seal. Has any Yanmar tractors owners replaced the seal. What is the best way to replace the seal? What do I need to watch for when I replace the seal?...Bill S.

Ok, so did I misread this then? You can get the two mounting points into the sockets they sit in, but then one jumps back out before it's locked in the proper location?

I'm not familiar with the smaller machines, but is the FEL attached by means of a pin that goes through side-to-side, or a bolt type setup that drops down into a notched land in the rear of the socket?

My point was merely that if you can get the FEL locked, even with a much smaller pin, into the mounting lands, then once you get it up into the air and the parking stands retracted you can then more easily move the arms by just using the bucket curl and boom cylinders. I did not mean the pin should be used permanently, only just long enough to get it lined up.

Found one yet? I am now selling a B1700 with FEL & MMM with 350 hours. Always garaged and in great shape front to back. I was offered $6000 by a dealer and would be happy to meet you half way at $8000.

Vibration is one problem of trying to straighten PTO sections. But of more concern is the fact that it will no longer completely collapse and extend properly. That will likely cause you more trouble down the road than will the vibration. <br>

But you don't need to buy a whole shaft. You can buy just the tractor half - three sided shafts are reasonably universal. But you can even buy just the shaft part itself, and use your old U-joint/cover/shroud. You can get just about any PTO repair part - or combination of parts - you want from AgriSupply. Here's an example of an external section (see below). All you have to do is weld the U-joint to one end, then cut the other end to fit.<br>

I'll shoot from the hip on this: first I would look at and clean electrical connections to fan and radio. Next I look at the brushes on the fan armature. They do have filters you can install in antenna and power feeds. Filters would not be my first choice.

Thanks for the reply. I am taking the offending cylinder into a local hydraulics shop tomorrow and I'll ask about this. The shop has a great reputation and won't try to sell me new John Deere parts... :-)

I've been told by various different sources that almost none of the equipment manufacturers will tell you the manufacture date.

It is because they feel people will get the idea that they are not buying a 'new' machine if it was not manufactured recently.

They instead use an 'in service' date.

Hi there, I own an older 1996 4x2 Gator and the engine runs great but recently when braking there's a loud noise. Noise isn't high pitched, kind of a deeper sound but definitely loud.<br>

The brakes seem to be work fine, just the loud noise when doing so.<br>

Regina, I have TC33D. The dip stick or fluid level indicator is a yellow plastic thumb cap found behind the operator seat and just below the tool box--remove the tool box to access it. Use a funnel to fill it. Otherwise, it will be all over the place! The yellow cap can be difficult to remove. You may need pliers and be careful: lefty loosey--righty tighty (Remember that KennyT :) )

You should use the 134 which Tractor Supply does have a replacement for---I buy mine there. Some good autoparts stores carry it too (it's not a NH number per se) I have also used their regular universal hydraulic fluid too. The 134 is very thin and usually clear compared to regular fluid. Since you're checking fluids, check the power steering reservoir too which I believe is a different fluid.
