Some local landscapers suggested typies they need. And I will try to sell them through ebay or local craigslist as well.
I sparated evergeen and hardwood area 50' apart. Hope can prevent fusarium kind disease you mentioned. Most of them like moist soil but need well drained.

Don't you have to reduce the tension on the rollers to do so? Know very little here other than reading manual on mine a little smaller than yours and it reads that you do. It is my "impression" some of these adjustments are straight forward and easy to understand and some are little complicated. Mine uses grease to keep the track at proper tension and I think you have to remove the grease fitting to allow the grease a way out to reduce the tension. Don't remember it telling how to apply the pressure to push the grease out.

I have heard of operators who could loose a track and pull it back on with no tools. That would seem to be a very loose track to me.

Understand the part about not in an easy spot, believe they are designed that way. :) kt

Kubota builds their tractors. No idea who builds the small Case. Suspect in this size tractor you will find better support with the Kubota. In my part of the world you find a good many dealerships that sell Case in the larger size and Kubota in the smaller or compact size. kt

Kangroo, your probably know this and someone else may have mentioned it and I missed it; be sure you are keeping good records for income taxes. Your cost will need to be kept seperated for chemicals, seeds, fertlizer and so forth. kt

With a gear tractor I always use the foot throttle and vary the RPM's as needed for loader work.
Running higher RPM's all the time causes unnessasary wear and tear on the clutch and makes the tractor harder to control.
My opinion.

Running at constant RPM or use gas pedal

I have the same basic design, but can switch back and forth in about 5 seconds and don't have to do anything put plug stuff in, my way doesn't use the cylinders internal seals as locks either. A few good bumps and you can kiss those rod and gland seals goodbye.

As for ballast, 600# sure doesn't sound like much weight back there, especially considering what weight you have, and how far out front it is. I use a ~1,000# box blade and my machine has a full cab so that likely adds a few hundred pounds more still.

Hi to all...what would be a good price to pay for a new Kubota L3400 HST 4 wheel drive with LA463 loader, industrial tires? This is my first tractor and need some opinions on price to offer dealer. Dealer quoted as a start off point $15,561 for tractor and $3,798 for loader = $19,359 total which is their list price but was willing to deal. We all of course never pay list price, but I would like to know where I should start my negotiations. Is there anything else I need to know about this tractor from those experienced with it?<br>

Chevrolet used to sell a heavy Half ton which later was called a 1500HD. It had some of the same drive train as a 3/4 ton. Ford used to do kinda the same (but it was a light duty 3/4 ton), but don't know their current lineup.<br>

If it is a concern, can you get a 1/2 ton Dodge equipped with a snowplow package with the proper rear-end gearing, which has a heavier front end?<br>

Driving through all the mud, rocks, water and ruts does a number on drive components. In my opinion you are better off with a light weight truck with a big front end, large diameter but narrow tires that have good treads on the sides.

Glad we could help.

The track is a bear, if you have a manual, just follow the procedure for replacing a track. Generally speaking, if the track is worn enough it comes off, it needs replacing.

Shopping for Kubota 1850 with bagger and FEL. Any idea on a good price for the whole package for? Also any comments on the 9 bushel bagger. I have 1+ acres with lot of maples and pines. Tons of pine cones to pick-up. Will use FEL mostly for moving logs and firewood.

Greetings, guys. I mowed bush-hog territory this weekend w/ the 60"MMM and it did actually an amazing job, considering the job was very heavy duty... grass 2 to 3 feet high along the pond, and in our wild back paddock. The engine lost probably 800rpm during one really thick spot, but came right back. I pre-walked the area to be sure I wasn't going to nail unseen debris. The grass was so out of control (high). The slope down to the pond is wild and a steady incline, and the tubeless tires held air, and tracked really well in 4-low through that area.

Also, re the FEL lifting the front-- jackstands are absolutely key to propping up the front once lifted, as at least one of y'all mentioned. And lifting with FEL would save jack dangers as noted. Good comments.

The question on size of machine will greatly depend on the size of those stumps and rocks. As has been said here before so does the variety of tree and dirt. So does the time you have. See if possible to rent or demo the model you are considering for real job or get names of those who have bought one and talk with them.

Don't let low interest rates be the only reaons you buy a certain machine. Don't be afraid of the used market. Also, financed machines even at 0% mean insurance to cover the lender...check that cost also. Have fun and be safe. kt

You didn't ask but perhaps you should see a lawyer about what was delivered not being in the condition in which you bought it -- and then a tractor dealer to discuss what would suit your needs.

A FEL is really handy. Within broad categories, all rear attachments pop on and off all tractors easily, but choosing and installing a FEL is another matter entirely, so it's better to get a tractor/loader combination.

To sort of answer some of your questions, I don't know the Hinomoto but it's rare that a tractor's hydraulic pump doesn't have enough extra to power the loader. As for manuals, if, as I suspect, this is a "grey market," how well do you read Japanese? As for parts, someone likely has them. If not, keep yours, part it out, and get rich.

More basic questions to discuss with a dealer are drive type; tire-tread type; mower type; and maintenance, parts and service. A tractor can easily work hard for a half-century, but not without those last three from time to time.

I just bought a slightly used 590-812-100 Loader with mounting brackets and a 590-841-100 accessory valve kit.<br>
My question is where do i hookup the valve kit to the tractors'hydraulics ? I don't see any empty ports etc.<br>
The local Cub dealers are no help, they only deal with garden Cubs.<br>
I was hoping someone on here could send me a photo of theirs.<br>

Sure (most loaders are after-market) but think twice if it's 2WD. Unless you get info from Mitsubishi or someone who has that model with a loader, choosing the right one and installing it are not DIY jobs.

Had my L3540 delivered last saturday. The machine is a beast. I've had huge issues with the woods BH80-x backhoe. I've blown 3 seals on the hoe cylinders. 2 on the dipper cylinder and 1 on the swing cylinder. It's now back the shop for the 4th time.

The tractor itself is a monster and kicks but.

I know almost nothing about electric vehicles so there are a lot of guesses in this post. My guess is that it uses DC motors since DC-AC conversion is inefficient and expensive. If that's the case forward and reverse might be selected by switching polarity to the motor. This can be done electronically or through relays. The motors have to be reasonably powerful, therefore they would use high current. High current is probably switched through relays. So if you can find a schematic you might be able to find out what relays are involved and check them with a meter. If they are good then the motor controller or connections to it would be the next place to look. That's a lot of guessing :)
