How would a person go about getting parts for one of these things. It lives way out in the sticks and will have to be repaired by yours truly. Looks easy enough but would be more comfortable with a manual close by.
Thanks for any advise you guys might throw this way.

Dennis; I kinda knew these were coming, from a very anonomys source, word is they also are working on the next generation of these that has no operator in the cab. It can run grade and the whole bit from an operator sitting in pickup with a laptop. I kinda wonder if it would know the difference between a rock and soil??? Not from this person, but I've also heard of a progran to develop a farm tractor that provides all the tractive power to the wheels in the same way as a railroad locomotive works, no gear transmission at all just a generator and wheel motors. those of you who are around in fifty years will likely laugh at the crude equipment we were using in 2008. I see, matter of perspective I guess. Mine's 21x19, and I was thinking of the 29x25 version of the five LNB dish. Stacked fore and aft, that one would only exceed the size of mine by 4 inches side to side and 3 inches top and bottom. I guess your concern is that the Slimline is 3 inches wider yet. <br>

The reason I used the word "perspective", is that my 39x29 satellite internet dish would still outshadow both, and I'm fixin' to replace it with an even bigger one. I have both the internet dish and DirecTV dish mounted on a 2-3/8" (OD) steel pipe, planted in concrete. Makes for much easier removal of wet snow/ice.<br>

Well looks like the wait will be longer, rats! While we all be able to get the National Locals in HD, it does mean that Satellite Dishes and receivers will be stuck in this multi mode multi cable situation until 2013. <br>

Currently, the satellite operators are required to carry standard-definition signals of all local TV stations in markets they serve under the so-called 'carry one, carry all' requirement. The FCC voted unanimously last week to allow the companies to comply by 2013 on the 'carry one, carry all' rule for high-definition programming.<br>

The 'carry one, carry all' requirement is intended to prevent carriers from choosing only the most popular broadcast stations, preventing other local broadcasters from reaching potential viewers.<br>

Timing for satellite carriers to implement this rule in high-def is more lenient than what the FCC imposed on the cable industry in September.<br>

The agency ruled then that cable operators must carry both digital and analog broadcast TV signals for three years after the nation switches to a digital format in early 2009. hi again yes my dealer will let me try any one of them out he has a used one on the lot right now with about 167 hrs on it with a front end loader and belly mower . i don't know what he would want for that one . i know what he give me for mine towards a trade in for a new one. i am sure excited about geting out and geting in the garden wit the tiler . i use my tractor a lot .

Word of advice to facilitate final bell housing bolt hole alignment. The front end is mounted on a pivot assembly. If for some reason the engine moves on that pivot, the bolt holes on your two tractor halves are not going to line up. I assume you've already blocked the front tires. In addition, you should also drive wooden wedges in between the engine and the front axle housing - one on either side of the pivot point. That will lock the front half in place to avoid misaligning all those bell housing holes when you close up<br>

Oh, and before mounting the clutchpack on the flywheel face, make sure there's no surface damage that could tear up the PTO friction disc. Then ensure that the correct side of the friction disc is facing the flywheel (same direction as on your plywood flywheel simulation). <br>

auerbach You need some different saws. Even when I'm blocking skidded wood 5-10 minutes each hour touch up with file only, fuel and oil. Turn bar and flat file bar with new loop maybe 30 minutes once a week. If saw I used needed that kind of maintenance it'd be in scrap pile. I'd hate to see what loggers here would do if they had that kind of maintenance requirement.

Have Cub Cadet 7305; 2000 model. The 3- pt hitch has no pressure; will not lower or raise, can literally move it around with my hand. Control knob open. Changed all fluids/filters. I can't find the problem. Can someone help?

If the Welcome New Member messages are restricted to the new member group there there is probably no need to change it much, but putting the location in the subject line is probably good.

As far as what the welcome email goes, if it could encourage members to contribute in areas of their particular expertise it might build some traffic. To do that you'd probably have to summarize the forum areas that are available to pique some curiosity and encourage participation.

Having problems. Starter switch does not engage starter motor, nor moves amperage guage when clicked on. Engine turns over when key is in on position, and crossing cellanoid with battery, remains running for a very short while with high reves, when hot wire remmoved. Sounds like starter/generator issues? Seem to be getting good spark. Rebuilt carb, but need settings for top and side needle valves. Currently 1 1/2 each. Just bought it. It was running good up to November the owner says.Any help you guys can give would really be appreciated. Thanks.

I would have to say that I got the best job from the hand file. I may just be using the Bench Grinder wrong but grinding a smooth edge against a wheel is tough. I went and bought a bigger bench grinder because the toy one was so slow and the grinding so imprecise.<br>

I was hoping that since an angle grinder places the grinding disk flat against the blade that getting a straight edge might be easier. Then I would use either the belt sander or bench grinder to dress and make that straight 1/8th edge Murph mentioned, been doing that step for a while.

Hey guys! Just joined the forum, just bought a 60's model Cub Cadet 124, 12hp. Getting good spark. Points are ok. Starter key does move amperage guage when first clicked on, nor engage starter motor. Engine will start by hot wiring solenoid over to battery, when hot wire is disconnected, engine will run rough for a few minutes, then cut out. I rebuilt carb, and need correct settings for top and side screws. Been reading about break or seat bypass switch. Does this model have either? What is the correct way to start this baby? I think the tractor will serve my gang mower well.

I was just to Kansas City Mo for the first time last week and saw that they had a few On the Borders there also. None back in NJ though. My trip was too short to stop at one though. I was surprised the KC was hilly than I thought it would be ;)

Bernie; Sometimes a leaky seal can mean a loose bearing directly behind it. Just clean the shaft and general aeria around the seal and pry it out with a screwdriver, then check the shaft for a loose bearing. If all is well just tap the new seal onto place. If you can see a part number on the old seal before you destroy it you can get one from Deere or any parts outlet tha handles seals, or a Deere dealer can look it up without the old one. Frank.

That's why they make different kinds :)

Personally, I hate mowing with a gear drive and loader work is more difficult, however I have done plenty of it with an old Ford gear drive and two lever bucket control.

I'll take my 580 with the shuttle any day for that work.

Hey Beagle,
I also have a 7800 and would like to install a remote hydraulic line. I am wanting to power a small grabble. I find your installation to be very neat. Your control valve
setup is very sharp looking. What an excellent choice for placement of that valve too. Is that something that you fabricated or is that something that one can purchase off the self? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am greating some great information from your postings on this subject. I don't know if this a do it yourself project for me or not, but I am getting a better understanding of the hydraulic system.
