I've been seriously looking at the same welder, and also the HTP Invertig 201 which is similar. I want to get a TIG that will do auto restoration and repair work, and some other things. Hobby and farm kind of stuff. I've currently got a Hypertherm PMX600 plasma cutter and a Miller AC/DC stick welder, but I am not good enough with stick to do sheet metal. <br>

I began thinking about a MIG, but have been leaning toward a TIG now, just having a hard time swallowing the price. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to cost. I keep bidding myself higher: If I am going to spring for MIG, for a bit more I can do DC TIG, but with DC only I can't do aluminum, I don't have a lot of need for aluminum, but figure I would use it more than I realize if I had it... etc. etc. AC TIG is definitely a serious price point, most of them are over $2k. The ones that are not modern inverter technology are very heavy! 140 pounds to 250 pounds typically, while the newer inverter types are 40 to 70 pounds for 200 amp welders. Wish I could find a screaming deal on one of these Dynastys. The HTP has 99 memorys for the settings, which would be pretty handy for a welder with this many options.

Kenny, I did notice that the same sort of "people" you have there are here too (must be related???). Oddly though, the type or degree of crime is much harsher here. I think though the people down thar can't move as fast we nor'teners--for whatever reason (we don't have as much liquid breakfast/lunch/dinner as you do down thar)

I thinking about trading in my New Holland TZ25 for a NH TC30, but the dealer is only offering $9,800.00 for the TZ, this seems really low to me. The TZ has the following<br>

It only has 7 hours on it and has always been kept in my heated garage. I purchased the tractor new in June 2007. I know I'm going to take a hit on the trade, but $9800 just seems really low. Any opinions or advice would be great.<br>

As I sent the first part I did think of advantage you have: last Saturday one of my son in laws handled a snake and the other and I cut up tree with live wasp in it. Good for all of us it was still cool (mid 60's) and neither had the suns warmth yet. BTW, there is one less snake and about a dozen less wasp than a week ago.

I own a 1998 L2900 and am having tranny problems. <br>

1. The tractor will only take off from a stand still in the 4 lower gears and only moves in 3rd or 4th with high RPMs <br>

2. Any resistance like inclines or mud requires down shifting to 1st or 2nd<br>

3. 5th and 6th gears operate once the unit is moving but the tranny disengages when you move into the road gears (7th and 8th)<br>

4. No reverse in 6th, 7th or 8th<br>

The engine, pto and FEL all operate as they should. Does this sound like the main clutch or the hydraulic clutch for the GST? I'm waiting on a service manual but am hoping someone can give me some pre-emptive help.<br>

Paul, just noticed your location. I live about 3 miles from the hwy 501 and hwy 22 interchange in SC. If you are looking for your blades here, there is a JD dealership on old hwy 9 west of Loris, Rabon's in Aynor, Tractor Supply on 501 just west of Conway. Also there is Agri Supply in Florence on the side hwy 76 just past the airport there. kt

Oh, I gotcha now. Clear as mud it is. ;)

What you saw then was a commercial front deck mower, likely a 4WD model, with a cab on it and a blower in place of the mower deck.

Your rear steer like a combine comment gave it away. They are great for that kind of work, they offer great visibility and turn very well.

DR, believe ole EW covered the draw bar. Some tractors do have an adjust that does allow you to angle the draw bar that normally is fixed by relocating a side pin. I was talking about the draw bar used with the 3 point hitch.

If you are doing this with your fel install you should have plenty of weight to keep front wheel straight and with the hitch you have in your pricture you should have no problem with draw bar rolling with a ball bolted through one of the holes.

For me when using an offset or extended implement,it takes a little bit more to keep the tractor the proper distance from such as trees. kt

I hear you Murf, cant ever seam to have enough weight on the rears. If I had a hard chance I would look for a set of chains for the rears, but my yards are paved, so the little set up I have works super. We have another 4" of what looks like very coarse salt that has droped here today! NICE to have a Fisher this winter! And your old plow is the very reason we opted to build just for that plow as it is without a doubt as tough as they come and yours is proof of that!<br>

So after my comment earlier about the Benz ML series, I called my friend, and Kubota dealer, who also happens to be a car dealer (he gets a lot of my money) and he was commenting on a unit in the upcoming dealer auction (this was last week).

I figured by now he owed me a coffee, maybe lunch. So, he &I spent a lovely afternoon (and some money) at the auction, and I came away with yet another ML. A 2002 ML 500 with about 80k miles on it. I figure I paid about 15% of what it went for new.

So I have a new runabout that is a little easier to park than the dually, and also fits in the garage, as opposed to hiking out to the shop to put the dually away every time I want to go somewhere.

I tried a different plan, I lost 135 pounds in one weekend.

Wife moved out.

BP way down, stress way down, 20 pounds less of me.

I eat lots of veggies, both direct and indirectly (after it's part of a cow) and fresh fruit.

Exercise is mandatory or Deputy Dog goes crazy on me. For every mile I walk he and his sister do probably 5 miles.

As Cutter says, don't matter how you get there, as long as it's a good place.

errr? The subject is about rear remotes needed to operate a Harley rake.

Generally- and technically-speaking Harley rakes don't tilt (up/down) but they do angle (L/R).

Also, most 3-pt Harley rakes can tilt providing the tractor is set up for that; a skid steer-mounted one cannot unless the skid steer has a tilting attachment plate--which are not common, but are available.

My 3-pt one has a "tilting" ability, but it involves resetting the caster wheel heights to be different, and also, changing the 3-pt lower link attitude via the lower link ajustment "box"--or the hydraulic tilt cylinder (if so equipped) so that the unit tilts through the 3-pt first then rests on the differing heights of the caster wheels. (Both the adjustable 3-pt arm and the casters have to be adjusted to achieve proper and reliable tilt angle--otherwise the unit will be torqued as will the hitch ams)
