That was from 4 years ago when she was brand spanking new! <br>

We got the second storm of the winter that was blow-able last Friday, and go figure, I only got 100 feet when I remembered I needed my goggles if I was using the blower. The snow was heavy and compacting, and while the blower was almost empty when I got off the tractor and stopped the blower, I had not let it clear fully and that little bit of snow snapped a sheer pin on the fan, so the snow became "Scrapable" real quick!

The forks I'm buying are rated for more weight than the loader so that's OK. Loading less wood on each pallet works too. Thanks for the info.

Bob, I think you're right about the cost, all you need is a simple valve.

By way of explanation, a "line throttle valve" does as the name suggests, it regulates (like a throttle) the flow of hydraulics by limiting it. It is sort of like a ball valve, but with one big difference, it only acts in one direction, in the opposite direction it has restriction at all.

They come in two versions, set or adjustable flow, and both work the same way. It has a spring-loaded restrictor that limits the amount of fluid flowing in one direction, while the opposite flow pushes harder than the spring and allows full flow.

I don't know what size lines you have on your machine, but here is the type of valve I'm talking about for 1/2" lines.

Thanks Dennis for posting the Kubota Alternator upgrade instructions. I think the instructions should guide one through the install fairly straight forward. However if there are any questions please email me and I would be happy to assist. I find that I am like I was when I was 16 years old and had my first car (1967 Firebird) I always wanted to do something more to the car. With the tractor I am no different, now if I can find a turbo conversion kit and my old 8 track I will be all set!

It is very possible the pto shaft was not pushed on sufficient at the dealership for it to be locked in place. A little dirt or such can also interfere with the pto shaft locking sometimes. If you can pull it off without releasing a locking device, do not run it. It can be dangerous. Though if it is coming off, sure rather have it come off tractor end than implement end.

While you have it off the tractor is a good time to work it looking at how it locks so you honestly can do it with your eyes closed for they are hard to see with the safety shields. kt

Here's a link to info on cone clutches, but I wouldn't know where to start finding one that would fit this application. Seems like it would be perfect though.<br>

The Jinma chipper I had used a two piece drive shaft with a spring around it to force that clutch assembly together and it didn't seem to slip that I recall.

Wait till Kubota introduces their New Skid Steer next year. Should give BobCat some major competition. BobCat has been known for reliability while using Kubota engines.

I'm a little reluctant to mention specific funds, so if they tank don't blame me :)

We're in Dodge & Cox Balanced fund, Dodge & Cox Stock, Vangard Wellington and American Funds Stock Fund A.

The Dodge & Cox Balanced fund is more conservative and holds it's own in poor markets. It was closed to new investors for a long time but recently reopened to them, for how long I cannot say.

Dodge & Cox is also opening a new International fund that I'm gonna get into. With all the growth overseas it would seem to make sense to get into that.

I'll echo the same as Harvey , Murf and others. Go with the basic buzz box. Reminds me of how i learned welding, driving and photography. What me and my brother did was I bought the buzz box and he bought the Oxy-actelyene setup, we borrow back and forth,i'm a bit better with the arc and he's better with the torch. I've not had much luck with the 'automatics of welding' aka mig etc. As to the photography - learned on a very manual SLR and advanced and have moved up to "electronic total control", shake eliminate etc.-i find take more pictures but they are not of the composition/finese/quality of the onesfrom the manual camera. To paraphrase what Harvey said of the new welders but for photos "look nice but no substance' just a'record shot '. Yes, do the basics first. I find the more 'automatic' a piece of equipment is the more "rush thru it" I behave.
Side note- I taught/made my daughter learn to drive a stick and told her 'if she can drive a manual transmission she won't be at a disadvantage for types of transportion', now she's in college and gets a kick out of freaking out most of her acquiances, scares some and intrigues others that she drives a stick.

If you don't get the numbers from someone familiar with that brand, take the filters to your biggest local supplier and see if they can match. The oil should not be a problem. If no hydraulic, you could buy a filter housing and toss the factory one. What you pay extra for the housing will be made up by the savings in a few of the replacement filters for it over the years.

by packing.i mean the seals on the end of the rod witch is inside the barrel/cylinder.it a seal kit.all cylinders have them.water in the hydraulic.not that big a problem.does your loader even try to work???if so you may have trash in your circut relief valve.any way be very carful.with hydraulics.if you start cracking lines to check for flow.you can make your own pressure tester/plugs into your quick connects/use a 10,000 psi guage.be carful dont dead head your hyd pump.get out your book and look for your test ports on your machine.
