For the guys that have no clearance with the R4 tires. You might want to do this, its real easy and saves $$$ too.<br>
I was going to make some spacers but after looking at the flange of the front hub I didn't think it could handle the longer studs. The flange is right around 1/4" and sure wouldn't want to brake the hub. Tried turning the wheels around by switching from side to side, I didn't like that to much because it made my steering seem loose.<br>
What I ended up doing was to grind the inside of wheel out. Moved it in 1 1/4" and rewelded. The 1 1/4" put the inside bolt flange in the center of the tire. There is about 1 1/2" clearance between the tire and the steering bracket. Worked out real good!!<br>

Nosteiner4me,

I plan on heating the building only when I am working on equipment, or when the kids are playing basketball. I thought about heating a small portion where my diesel JD3520 will rest. Although, it was 15F yesterday, and she started after a few tough tries. I may look at putting an inline heater on the tractor that I could plug in. So in summary, I think the LP radiant tube heater is my best bet. I may add a basic wood stove some day.

If the original was a D950 & you cannot find, the closest will be the D850 engine. Same engine block casting BUT smaller pistons & thus less power.

D600 engine is less power & different block

I started using Mobil 1 in a street bike I had, an FJ1100 Yamaha. It was one of the more powerful air-cooled bikes and had a known problem scorching the cams if you used conventional engine oil. Synthetic oil was supposed to be a necessity if you ran the bike hard. That is why I bring up cooling; looking at the 25 hp Kawa engine in my Gravely ZTR, I just wondered if cooling is a problem. I see it has a little engine oil cooler built in at the base of the filter, while the next lower hp engine doesn't. This got me curious if maybe synthetic oil might help the engine live a little longer.

Thanks for the replies. I sure didn't know anybody was using sythetics in their mowers.

I am after a wiring diagram for my JD4100<br>
my JD4100 does not have its orginal roll bar, I bought it off a chap who runs several compact JD's in chicken sheds and removes the roll bars for ease when working in tight spaces. He put a roll bar on to sell it, but is not the original one.<br>
The wiring connections on the roll bar do not match those on the tractor and I would like to get the lights connected and working on the roll bar.<br>
Does anyone have a wiring diagram or know which wire is which. They are marked up to identify left and right but I do not know which is idicater/flasher, front light or back light.<br>

Hello,,
just read your post now. You said L2202 is L275. I think you are mislead .
L2202 tractor has D1402L engine ......whilst ....
L275 tractor has a D1302 engine.

different engine bores & so piston rings smaller .

Try asking dealer if not drop me a line & I will try to get you part No.s

Twin I Gotta agree with air cleaner, that is possible, and would add:<br>

Repressure test the cooling system. That should be the quickest way to check headgasket to waterjacket. If it tests OK it's almost gotta be circulation.<br>

With the over heating and pushing out it sounds more like a circulation issue especially at 5 minutes. Water pump turning? Air lock in water pump? Fan Belt tight? <br>

Others said it but it is worth repeating. If all that is good I'd check the lower radiator hose and or pull the thermostat next looking for circulation.

I bought a used 48 backhoe with the weldment and brackets for a large frame compact (I was told that the hoe was off of a 4700) and bought the proper weldment and brackets from Deere to mount it on my 4300. I still have the large frame hardware if you are interested.

There are very few aftermarket parts available. The only other way to get parts for it is from Shibaura in Japan, but they won't be any cheaper due to freight. You got it for the price you did because it needed these parts. For what you paid for it, it is worth spending the money on it.

i use box blade to finish grade. Have you tried to move wheels all the way in? 4 ft full of gravel is all my b2400 4x4 will handle. I can adjust my box to level 1-2 in gravel.

Both of mine are 4 speed dual range shuttle shifts; one 35 horse, one 45 horse. That basically makes them 8x8 transmissions. I'm told that some of the 35 horse were (or maybe still are) available with creeper gears instead of shuttle shift. They make a 25 horse too, but I'm not very familiar with it.<br>

The Bobcat Tractors are KIOTI's with the Bobcat Paint Scheme. Bobcat and Daedong (KIOTI) have a marketing agreeement for compact tractors. Daedong (KIOTI) is supplying Bobcat with the compact tractors. Visit any KIOTI dealer and you will see we have the exact same tractors, same specs, with the original KIOTI color scheme, and the KIOTI 4 year powertrain warranty.

The 30hp tractor you speced is a KIOTI CK30 HST.
The 22hp tractor is the new KIOTI CK20S.

As of right now, Daedong is only supplying Bobcat with the HST models up to 40hp. Our guess is that they may get the full line eventually.

Regardless of color, they are great tractors!!

It really all depends on what you are buying the machine for. I had couple of steiners diesels 230s for mowing and used a 430 27hp gas also. The 230 had limited lift abilities and you could not lift if you steered at the same time(they also discontinued this unit)The 430 had no foot pedals so you had to use one hand on the steering wheel and the other hand on the forward/reverse lever which was awkward and then it had articulated steering too. It really was work to run that thing and i think the ventrac would be just like the steiner 430 only bigger. They are very expensive and only steiner or ventrac attachments can be used and they are expensive. I got tired of down times and excuses from steiner dealer and went to a real compact tractor instead. I can use most any implement made for compact tractors regardless of color.
Depends on your intended uses, Still think if they would redesign the thing, it would get more attention from the public.
