Hardwood, thanks, although It is not my problem but was on another site I am monitoring,

the original post states mid 80's used for mowing and snow blowing, oil out tube after warm up, no other symptoms,

further question by me he said he had maintence 2x annual, and the 820 hrs.

he did not spec how much oil, but indicated full on startup, and still in range when he noticed the oil,

I will try and pin him down on how much oil lost,

if a few drops, and since no other symptoms stated, I agree with you, will let you know what he says.

Randy that's great, and seeing it in print stirs a distant memory and I sort of recognise those details.

We are about to get our first snow of the winter here in London, and strangely also at our home in central France, but have seen that the US has had plenty of snow already this winter, I supoose except the south.

Speaking of cloth, yes, my Mother used to buy "bolts",kinda oblong looking rools of cloth for you youngings who weren't privliged to have lived back then to make clothes from. I do remember her once trading some live chickens to the cloth, needle, thread, yarn, zipper and botton peddler, and that isn't half of the story, on his way down the road the back door came open on his old panel truck and the chickens got loose. And again on the subject of cloth, there were men of the cloth who walked around the country side in the summer selling bibles and religous items. I could go on, but I'm sure you all have long since tired of my ramblings, old men tend to do that you know. Frank.

Roaf3X; Nothing wrong with doing some of the 100 hour things a little sooner than the book calls for except possibly the engine oil change from the break in oil to the regular oil called for in your owners manual. I'm not familliar with when Kubota calls for their break in oil to be drained, but don't do that before the manual calls for. Frank.

Joel, I've heard similar tales of putting stuff in the basement before the house was built, or in this case placed, above it, or things built down there that were larger than the openings.

A guy my Dad knew built an airplane in his basement, everybody including his wife thought he was nuts, but he persevered. Everybody told him he would never be able to get it out when it was done.

Several years later when the plane was finished he brought in a backhoe and dug a big hole behind the house and had a company saw a 6' wide opening for a sliding door in the wall, creating a walk-out basement.

He still enjoys both flying that plane, and his walk-out basement to this day.

That reminds me of a break-in that occurred in a secure facility in Germany when I was there back in the early 90s. The burglars wore ski masks, but didn't think about their uniforms, which had each of their names emblazoned in large lettering over the right chest pocket! To think that those guys were actually smart enough to get INTO the military scared me.

Sounds more like the same problem as with the loader control cables in the other thread.

The bottom end of the HST control cables connect to the (very) warm HST unit, and as they cool off they tend to draw in moisture from snow melted by the machines heat. As this moisture freezes it effectively reduces the amount of clearances in joints and such and makes them stiffen up.

When it's in a warm garage there is no ice, and everything moves freely again.

As was mentioned here, and in the other thread, you need to fill (and keep filled), with a very light grease such as silicone or white lithium, any cavities that the moisture can collect in so as to prevent this from happening.

Most times it is the beginning of a problem that will only get worse. Lubricate the linkages and all pivot points. It would be rare to find one that might need adjustment.

I'd be interested what you find out if you get as far as pricing one. Not to be nosy. When I bought mine, Dodge was using a program that has since been discontinued. It set a quota for the dealership; if they met the quota, salesman were paid a bonus on each car they sold. The bonus was pretty good; so much so that they would sell the cars at invoice price. So the salemen would make little or nothing on the actual sale (many sales people are paid by percentage of gross profit); but they would make out well if they sold a lot of cars and the dealership made quota.

Anyway at the time I bought my car for invoice minus the $3000 rebate.

I see on the Dodge website that the SXT model (250 hp V6) AWD is considerably less expensive than the Hemi RT.

Crunch; Hope you get along well with the local mechanic. A rew years ago I happened to be in the local gas station when a fellow rolled in two new Farm Fleet tires and asked the guy to mount them. I never saw anyone get run out of a place any faster in my life. Frank.

Well most of the cylinders are 2", except for one 2.5 inch. They call for 1" cross tube on the ends, so they can be held on with 1" pins inside the tube. The longest stroke is 10", so I doubt on a loader you'd have any that short. Sure post what you have.... BG in Iowa

Hay haven't been here in a while any way its the 05-06 model 1200 hauler. candoarms is right finely found the correct spec sheet sorry for the confusion. Any way we already have govs on the carts i just cant seem to figure out how to set it so we can move just slightly faster on the carts.
