I found the above in your TP intro--you know, what the WORLD sees LOL--toward the bottom.

Question: WHAT the heck is a wheel barrel--is that the precursor to the wheel BARROW--sheesh! Just some trivia--the name wheel barrow has its roots in the spanish equiv. of a wheeled donkey or burrow---hence wheel burrow or more correctly a wheel barrow.

But not a wheel barrel hahahahaha

I don't remember about the full-sized drawings. Everything is in book format, no folded plans or blueprints. So if the part is bigger than about sheet-of-paper size, the drawing won't be full scale.

If you want me to draw you up anything full-sized just let me know; I could easily draw it in AutoCAD, plot if out and mail it to you. I do that kind of thing for fun.

Thanks for the reply. Someone else mentioned the word flexing the cylinder. What does that exactly refer to? I don't udnerstand.
I mentioned the problem to the dealer which in turn asked me today to send pictures to Buhler to find out the cause of this. The dealer has not had such a problem. I only used the loader for 39.4 hours.
I agree, stops would prevent this problem and I wonder why there isen't any. I will post the answer from Buhler, once received.

i just bought a p155f and love it...can anyone give me any info. on this tractor, is there an american made conterpart? i can find a manual or nothing...its like this tractor doesn't exist?????????

my wife's last two cars have been Subaru legacys the first was a 2004 and a 07 now. They aren't fancy, as she doesn't like leather seats but have good looks. the 04 was a good car with no troubles for 35,000 miles but a dog! The 07 has about 15 more horse and five more miles per gallon on the fuel and enough power over the old one to make it a nice car to drive although still not over powered.

Buzzlight,

It would be very difficult to get your tractor started when left out in the open air. Any heat you apply to your engine, fuel tank, etc.....must be preserved as much as possible. If you leave your tractor out in the wind at -30 degrees, I'd doubt that you'd ever get it started.

It doesn't take much of a shelter to make your heaters work properly. If you have a place that is sheltered from the wind, you'll be much better off. A cattle wind break would work better than nothing at all.....anything to keep the wind from taking away the heat you apply.

If you don't have a wind break, nor a barn......the next best thing would be a heavy canvas tarp. The tarp will trap the heat from your block heaters, tank heaters, and even the heat you supply from some other source.

The most important thing is to get your tractor out of the wind. If you can't do that, there's little hope of getting it fired up.

I appreciate the advice. I did not know if a ZTR would go faster than a traditional tractor with the same horsepower in an open field. From the responses I am gathering that they would go about the same speed if there were no trees or other obsticles. That is what I needed to know. I will stay tuned to this site as I can see there are some really helpful people.

Freedom Hitch, Bubco, Delta Hook and Jiffy Hitch have been comparable products. Con: All expensive due to implement component required for each implement Pro: All overcome the lack of uniformity in Cat 1 implement attachment sizing and they all offer ease of attachment (1 person, from the tractor seat)

I have been using Freedom Hitch for six years and find it perfect for me (often working alone). Unfortunately Midwest Industries stopped making the product 2-3 years ago and extra implement section pieces hard to find. Midwest tells me they are willing to sell the rights to someone (No, I am in no way affiliated with Midwest Industries). Maybe KubotaRep could explore production of a less expensive version of one of these products with the broad distribution Kubota network has.

First, let me say this is a great tractor. Used it almost everyday since '92.<br>

One problem in all that time. The injector pump has leaked for the last 2 years.<br>
My pump leak is getting worse all the time. I feel certain it's o-rings. The rear [of 3] is the worst. Is worse when cold, less or none when hot. The engine shop manual states "do not disassemble". I would but for two problems: I rely on the tractor so much that I don't want the down-time. Second, the nuts that hold the outlet plates on are FIVE SIDED! Aside from the closed factory, I doubt there are a handful of the tools in the US. I made a crude one but used it only to try to tighten the nuts.<br>

Having finally cutting a deal on a ZTR mower, I was going to MD to get it two weekends ago. It so happened that my friend Bob had been dealing on a Ventrac in Delaware, only 1-1/2 hours away from the mower I was buying. He renewed negotiations on the Ventrac, and reached an agreement pending final inspection of the unit. We loaded up his 2500 Ram with a borrowed trailer, and after dealing with the usual hassle of getting the trailer lights and brakes working (I finished the brake wiring while he got the paperwork done at the dealership); came back the next day with my Gravely ZTR and his Ventrac. Included with his deal was a power angle plowing blade and 72" finish mower; also a dual-wheel kit. The VXD has a 31 hp turbo-diesel engine. It is a used machine but in very good shape.<br>

I'd never even seen a Ventrac before this. It is an interesting machine, and appears to be capable of mowing the steep slopes he requires. Implements are pricey, but used ones can be found given time.<br>

We are both happy with our purchases. I'll have to wait to use the Gravely, but he has been happily clearing driveways of snow this week.<br>

I was told that these Yanmar diesels need to crank fast, if the battery is slightly low charge that could be it. I'd also check your fuel filter, in addition I'm assuming you have the glass sediment bulb like I have on my 650. I'd guess one of the above is the problem. IF it has ran out of fuel because of a clogged filter or water in the tank, you might need to bleed out the lines... I hope you have the owners manual to show you how.

I do not know if you can even find NON Round up ready seed around here. I used a pre-emergent last year on soybeans for the first time in years and then did follow up with Round Up later for weeds it missed. Got better results. That may be why my soybean yeild held fair for as little rain as we got. Again, thank you, Kt

If you look at the Nortrac Forum it seems that most people that have bought one bought it after looking at it at a local store assembled and running. But you should check with Northern for your location. If you are not close to a store or a Northern service center that has them, IMHO I would be reluctant to go ahead with one.

I have not yet sold the machine, but spring is coming and I am about to begin listing/promoting it for sale. It's a 4wd E-Hydro machine w/the CX (heavy duty) loader. Back tires are loaded, I will be including a 3-pt post-hole digger w/12" auger and a box scraper w/the unit. Also have a (bobcat-style) removable tooth bar for the bucket. The unit has barely over 100 hrs on it. I'd like to get $18,500 but am (somewhat) negotiable. Also willing to work out delivery within a reasonable distance from springfield mass. - edp

Ok I put the white stuff from my strainers in a teapspoon and heated it, it melts and it smells like plastic. I guess after spending 7 hours on flushing this yesterday it is pretty impossible to get that stuff out. Now I know what it is. Is it a health hazard ? Can't be good for you. Since it is caught in the strainers it is contaminating the drinking water :(

I haven't gone ahead with this yet, the new Blackjack 2 and other phones are now having GPS built into them. The new version of Google Maps for Mobile has a myLocation feature that lets you know where you are. Though the carriers are trying to lock the GPS into their own direction services.<br>

Supposedly Google Maps Beta for Mobile can do positioning by either GPS or by approximating your location by the Cell Tower you are using. Very cool but the cell tower thing does not work for my Blackjack 1, and I read that the GPS in BJ 2 does not work with the Beta version of Google Maps.<br>

If the myLocation feature does not work on your phone Google Maps Beta is harder to use since the only way you can locate anything on the map is to use the "Directions" menu item forcing you to put in the same zip code twice for the from and to destinations when you really just want a map of Chicago. This gets worse when you travel as you don''t know zip codes and you have to type Shaboggginviloral illinois twice ;)<br>

I do believe that the cell phone GPS has to be the best approach when you are traveling, less stuff to carry.<br>
