Hi Guys,

Thanks for the responses.

Situation is this, going to be looking at and maybe buy either tomorrow or Monday( probably Monday now ) so am looking for some quick numbers on the tractor. Just figured if I could find an owners manual on line that I could pay for and download, would give me the information I want
eed.

John, if not too much trouble, can you give me some basis stuff on the tractor. Rough weight, actual physical size comparison to something else like Kubota or Deere. Hydraulic capacities and what the 3 PTO will handle in weight. Looking for the basics ( spec sheet would have been nice but can't find on the net ) and some real info that I can use to compare what the seller says.

Any help at all would be as I hate to walk into something unprepared. If I end up buying, will go to Cub and order the operators manual.

Appreciate all the help.

Hi, new here,really glad this board exists... I have recently purchased an SD 2243 Shibaura... The rear hydraulics lift fine but will not hold...they creep down in about 15-20 seconds...? Fixable? Please hit me back..

You're probably right there. My guess is that in terms of driving enjoyment it would be the Audi, VW, Lexus, Volvo and then Subaru. In terms of driving enjoyment the two VWs I've owned have been far more enjoyable than the Fords (2), GMs (3), and Toyotas (3).

I traded my BX22 for my L2800 and what a difference. That bx was the biggest little tractor I have ever seen and had my needs not changed I would have kept it a lot longer. If the tractor is as clean as you say than it sounds to me like a fair price. I don't remember the exact numbers on my purchase (L2800 HST, LA463 fel, BH75)because it included the trade for the bx22 along with a Sitrex spreader, 72" rear finish mower and a 64" 3pt snowblower. I am pretty sure it was right around 25,000. I am a firm believer in the HST, it spoils you quick. I live in New England and the prices out here are always a good 5% to 7 % higher than most of the other areas around the country from what I see from watching this forum. You might consider getting some prices for a L2800 from a local dealer. Unless you need the PTO hp, for the most part all the 3400 will do over the 2800 is use more fuel.

This is not meant to scare you but it was my problem on my 755. Mine started fine most of the time but always a little hard as it got colder. I had a block heater too and it was plenty warm enough. It continually started getting harder to start each time. One time it would not start at all. So I did all of the following. Fuel was getting to the injectors, new battery, block was hot, new injectors, glow plugs were hot. Towed it to the dealer (2 miles away) and they did a compression check. It would not start because of not enough compression. So I towed it home and removed the heads and the cylinder walls were pretty bad. So I removed the engine and tore it down. Everything was in specification except for the cylinder walls. Somehow dust had been getting sucked in. Loose filter hoses I am assuming. But I ended up doing a complete rebuild as long as it was apart. I hope it is not your problem but it is sounding like it. I would proceed right to the compression check. Good luck.

I suppose it's possible that the pressure you're placing on the brake pedal, could be just enough to force you back into the seat. When you remove your foot from the brake pedal, the pressure on the seat could be reduced just enough to break the circuit in the seat safety switch.

This should be fairly easy to troubleshoot.

I have recently purchased a Hinomoto E250D tractor and I don't know where to fill the hydraulic oil unless it is the black plastic cap behind the gear stick? And how do I know the correct level as I cant see a dipstick , Please help regards Paul.

Hi Brian,
You may have figured this out by now, but there is an adjustment knob under the seat. Turning it clockwise slows the speed of drop. Yours might be almost closed, in which case you would get very slow dropping, and also overheating the hydraulic system. On my 955 I have is wide open so as not to chance that. It is there as a safety feature so as not to drop the implement accidentally on your foot or some small animal. I also box scrape in low range most of the time, except when I am finishing up and have the box set so that it is smoothing, and not gathering up too much material. Then I run it in high, with the five-eighths minus gravel flying. Great fun.

Howdy guys, I may be looking for the perverbial needle in the hay stack but I sure would like to have a woods 417 loader for my 7235 cub cadet. I know they made bushels of them but finding one not being used is quite a chore. If anyone knows of one please let me know. thanks<br>

I do not consider anyones post paraniod. I believe most show good sound sense.

Just a note about a recent purchase if you looking for a log splitter at a decent price. <br>
$996 at tractor supply 22 ton auto return 190 cc briggs engine, horizontal/vertical...you can start/stop the wedge any place you like, its fast and strong, made very well.<br>
I think i could use this splitter for 10 years or more and still sell it used for 700 bux. <br>
Was very happy with this thing. It split everything i threw at it with no problem at all and its fast too. The actual cycle time is much less than the posted ones since you can start/stop the wedge anywhere you want.

Mitch; If you plan to change the fluid at 100 hrs. I wouldn't worry about it. About all I've ever found in the strainer of a new tractor is a few metal chips and some small pieces of gasket thet didn't get completely flushed at the factory. We would likely be shocked to know how many screens that have never been cleaned. Frank.

Thanks for the great responses....My main purpose for this machine is mowing with the 72"mid mower but do burn wood 24/7 in the winter and use the loader alot. I was always using the high and only used low couple times. I see the advantage of the low and the limits of the high now.
As far as mowing...I have always been a fast mower and do mow with this thing in high at what i think is about 10mph on average on the straightaways. I have fairly level ground and do not bounce around much and feel very comfortable at that speed but cannot cut it full speed though. The machine feels well balanced and not tippy at all even though it does sit high.
