Dear Kuboya Rep. I use a Deere with a Land Pride Quick hitch and here is what I suggested to my Deere rep:

Using a slide bar (or any of several alternative methods), make the lower hooks so they can adjust horizontally a few inches. This will allow you to hook up to attachments which are not per "standard" as far as location of their pins. All the other stuff guys have noted in here are great ideas as well. Price-wise...say 300 bucks (Approx).

our ad supplier has recently been experiencing some ad server problems. Usually refreshing the page will bring up the ads eventually. It is not a tractorpoint problem.

Good going Randy!!

I had a black belt in smoking, quit cold turkey in 1990 and can't stand to be around it now. No desire, none.

For me, the toughest part was getting through the first month and then mostly if I had a legal beverage with friends. When I am around smokers I think "did I used to smell like that?".

Be prepared to lose some friends. Once the wife and I quit we restricted smoking to our breezeway, that unfortunately prompted some people to quit visiting us. We visit them but rarely, can't stand the house full of smoke.

Keep up the good work, your body will thank you!

May I ask where you are from? You've been here ten years? Where were you prior to coming to the U.S.?

I found that communicating with the people of Germany was very difficult at first -- as was trying to carry on a conversation with the people of Korea, which was even harder for me. But, after a few months, things seem to improve quite a bit.

The traction a tire develops is based on a LOT of different factors, but high on the list is weight.

A properly ballasted machine will make far better traction that an unloaded machine with better tires.

A big factor in traction, or the lack of traction, with rear tires is their size, if the front tires already have the bulk of the weight, the engine, maybe a FEL, over them, and they have the advantage of being much smaller tires, therefore carrying far more weight PER SQUARE INCH chaining the fronts and not the back makes little sense.

You then basically have a front wheel drive tractor with rear wheel assist.

IMHO, and experience, you will do far better if you are only going to put chains on ONE end, to put them on the rear tires.

Besides, I think you will find rear tire chains at nearly any tractor store, but not fronts. The fronts may be a little cheaper, but probably not much.

The only goverment body that would care is the Department of Weights and Measures. Other than that, a lawsuit in court, but they were willing to rectify the situation so that is out.

Been kind of busy here. That and haven't felt good lately. We don't get much snow in this area and I like it that way. Back in 1999 we got 17 inches and that was and probably will remain a record for us.

I'll fill up with Premium tonight to see how it does. I tried premium in the summer and didn't see any mileage benefit at all but maybe with the oxygenated fuel now it will make a difference.

Randy, good to see you back! I misspoke (mis-typed) on the VW. Popular Mechanics compared a European VW Polo TDI (not a Jetta) to a Prius. The VW had better performance, got 74.3 mpg vs. low 50s for the Prius, and actually had fewer emissions. The only thing I don't like about the technology is they are using the same method as Mercedes in their Bluetec diesel to reduce NOx. They inject Adblue into the exhaust stream which converts Nox to Nitrogen and water. So the Adblue tank has to be filled up occasionally. Not sure how much that would cost. Honda has a Catalytic style converter that works without Adblue. All in all things are really looking up for diesel technology, which makes a whole lot more sense to me than complex hybrids with toxic batteries.

I can't answer your question about timing belt or plugged EGR. A guy I work with has an older TDI, he cleans out his EGR every year or so and doesn't think it's a big deal. I used to drive VWs and changed a few timing belts on them. A pain, but not a showstopper for me. Still, I wish timing belts would go the way of the dodo too.

My post was simple, straight-forward and truthful, if it was offensive, sorry, but so is spam.

I reviewed & read EVERY post Tom has made to this forum before I posted my comment, the record is there for anyone to read, there was ONE post that was not a sales pitch.

It is not a matter of 'rules' IMHO, just poor choices, a sales pitch in the "Kubota Review Forum" that belongs in the "Classifieds" or if Tom is serious about being a business man he can support the site and BUY an ad like the other members of this forum who make a product do.

Plain & simple.

Yes, the business is in Saginaw and I live in a neighboring tourist town (bet you can figure that one out too). Saginaw has been known as an automotive industrial manufacturing town and for its rich farmland in rural areas. Now we are known for its crime rate and are famous for the number of drive by shootings. They only shot one last night if you check out the local news. I also own Northern Michigan property but none in the U.P. Some of my best friends have retired to Munising (in da U.P.) and I visit them often. To me, the world is much different as you cross the bridge, more like it should be.<br>

Pete is a fictitious name that I come up with for solicitors that call my business looking for the person in charge of the phone, person in charge of the insurance program, purchasing agent, human resources director and so on. It has turned into quite a joke in the office.<br>

Solicitors call in asking for Pete; this has blossomed since his name has been "sold" over and over again. Pete gets mail, free pens with company logo and his name printed on them and all sorts of stuff. People come to the front door saying they called last week and spoke with him and have an appointment.<br>

Didn't mean to lie to anyone or confuse them. But from my pics on this site, etc. and information publicly available, someone could search for my property addresses and steal my tractors or a whole bunch of stuff I've accumlated over the years through hard work from my efforts and thanks to generations before me being able to pass some on. I'm not paranoid but cautious.<br>

P.S. I've thought about building a product as you've described but my liability insurance carrier would drop me in a heartbeat. I'm having enough trouble with that right now as it is. They only want my premiums without risk of ever having a claim. Haven't had a claim but they are still nervous.

Its a TN75 with shuttle shift . I have took it back 3 times for the clutches to be recalibrated and replaced one ECM.I repaired the 4 wheel interlock wires 2 times. Of course it must go back to clear out the fault codes. this is all in with about 350 hrs on the tractor. If I had the NH software I would be able to clear the codes and adjust the shuttle clutches myself. I consider myself faily savy on electronics and PLC controls and not to bad on mechainical repairs as I still have my certs on heavy truck automotive repair.

The GST tranny uses the hydraulics to shift gears and actuate the clutch.

Check it's not something silly like the 3pth lift lever has slipped and is holding in the 'power up' position and causing the relief valve to hang wide open to dump the excess pressure.
