EW; I've noticed here that the newest county graders have an R-3 type tire but they also are front wheel assist. Heavy as a grader is it probably doesn't matter much between R-3 and R-4's. We haven't had a big snow for two or three winters where they put the V plow on the front, they used to always put chains on in order to back out of a cut before the front wheel assist came along. Last night clearing snow from my driveway while operating my B7800 with the front blade/ snow blower subframe on along with the FEL, I did not experience any adverse conditions. Before I was finished I had to clear off some snow that built up on the front of the subframe due to the lower ground clearance. (I wanted to minimize the amount of melted snow in my heated garage, recently bought and installed a Modine Hot Dawg propane heater, this is a must now that I have it).

Cutter; I'm with you on this one. I used to have the "Best of both worlds" with a FEL and a three pt. snowblower on a big farm tractor. I've been on the verge of buying a rear blower for my 4310 but still think they are overpriced for a small blower.

Thanks for the info guys. I did talk to the local appliance dealer about it a few days ago, he sold us the frige 10 yrs. ago. He said that with the type of compressor ours has that a small electric heater should be installed on the compressor to keep the oil from getting too thick. We moved it into the warm shop, it had been in the house up til this winter. That's interesting about the temp of beer freezing. My neighbor tells me that pop will stay thawed below 32 because of the sugar in it, Diet pop he says is just colored water and chemicals, it freezes.

Yes, you can break it, I do think you know enough to be careful with glass! Be sure that it is in the holes at the best center before starting to tighten. The wiring is there for you under the top.

I have a Shibaura D23F. I sure do need an owner's manual for it. Been looking for one now for about 6 months. If one doesn't exist in English, perhaps someone could point me to a tractor similar enough to it for that manual to be useful.

I'm with Kthompson on this. I'm not very familliar with their linkage system from the pedal to the actual hydro pump inside the tractor (mechanical/electronic??), but with no restrictions in the flow of fluid to the pump that is about all that's left to go wrong. Frank.

A friend of mine, Bob Wolff has a Case dealership in Woodbury, CT he has been trying to get a Kubota dealership, however Kubota will not grant one to him since the nearest is approximately 28 miles away and the next closest is about 34 miles away. Here I see Kubota keeping dealership competition (within brand) to a minimum. However, the two dealerships in the area need to take lessons in customer service from Woodbury Tractor. With that said, in retrospect I would have bought a Case DX 33 from Bob just because the customer service is that much better. It that reason why I bought my Woods BH-70X from Woodbury Tractor at a much more competitive price than the two area Kubota dealers for the same product.

Depending on where the fueling point is located, (not sure about the BX series) it may not be a good idea to use cardboard in front of the grill.

All of my tractors had fueling points located much further back......just ahead of the dash. The B-Series tractors have a fueling point located just ahead of the steering wheel.......as far away from the radiator as possible.

If I had a fueling point located anywhere close to that cardboard, I'd replace it with a piece of sheet metal.

Any piece of galvanized sheet metal, such as that used in HVAC systems (heating and cooling ducts), will easily replace the cardboard. For that matter, a piece of 1/4" steel plate will likely fit right into the debris screen slots......but now I'm going way overboard with this. hehehe. We don't have to build a tank to accomplish this goal.

I know what you mean, the exchange fees for cards happen autoMAGICALLY ! But on a short trip changing currency is ten times more expensive.

The skimming won't impact me as my trips were short and quick.

Kenny, speaking of "reverse withdrawal", I had to do that with a company that would not send me my skid steer tracks after I sent him a check for $2800 which he cashed. All I did was fill out a form and pay my credit union $20 and within a day it was electronically pulled out of his account and put back in mine. Somehow he found out about it the next day and threw a fit (apparently he decided to send me a check after 3 months of lies). So my credit union called me and I told them to go ahead and give it back because he had sent me a check for a refund which I got that day and cashed it--but not deposited it.

What is scary is that my credit union did not ask for any kind of verification or proof that I was owed the money---so the same thing could happen to me if someone paid me with a check and wanted it back for any or even NO reason!

We got thru it without loosing power, but just south of us they were out most of the day. The freezing rain stopped about mid day then we had about four inches of snow on top, that actually made it better under foot with some snow frozen onto the ice. Frank.

Duke; The 503 is not a familliar model number to me, I have an MX5. Deere built most everything from super heavy duty to light duty cutters. If it is in decent shape and it fits your tractor 250.00 isn't much for a decent cutter in todays market. I'm sure Deere would have parts forever for it too, Frank.

This spot sure did get enough comments or did it? The Yamaha is still the way I put it together but needing a little more refinement.
I used Buggies Unlimited and there four inch lift kit is limited! The front tie rods have to be centered perfect or they are only by a thread. The bad thing is that the original tires weren't enough clearence in some stream beds so I went bigger. But a little to big and need to raise the rear about a 1-1/2" to keep them from rubbing. I have only changed the oil but it is do for at least a new belt. I doubt if it will do twenty maybe twenty five now on the road. Still barely a tank a year for gas!
