My Cub Cadet 7275 (Mitsubushi) and others in that productline are susceptable to this as well. Cadet has always kept this "hush" but made a bracket support to remedy the situation (I hope). The problem generally came from hard use.

Art; The Uncle I refer to now and them always insisted on Allis Chalmers blowers. They had a good tight blower that you just couldn't plug. So far I've only gotten one dealer quote, Buhler 60 in. 2395. or a Buhler 74 in. 2995. Both with hydraulic chute, cyl, hoses. Would like to get quotes on a Red Devil and a Loftness before I pull the trigger. The Mrs. says hire the neighbor. At thirty dollars, (when I could get him to take any pay), per average snow that's like 80-100 snows, she does make a lot of sense on the subject. Frank.

There are two different JD 165 mowers listed at tractorhouse.com

One of them has a 38" deck. The other has a 42" deck. Neither mower has any extra attachments. One is listed for $695.00. The other has a price of $800.00.

I just saw an auction on Ebay, in which the seller says he has many Kubota 2-cylinder engines for sale. They come without starters, etc.

Apparently the auction has ended, as I cannot locate it tonight. However, if you keep your eyes peeled for this item on ebay, you'll likely see another auction pop up soon.

If I remember correctly, this seller is located in Florida.

A rebuilt "anything"" can sometimes cost more than a new "anything". That said, check out the link below to Surplus Center. They carry a broad array of new replacement gas and diesel engines for the same cost or less than a rebuilt.

quite a bit probably is shipped out, however in my opinion a lot of it is kept local, I have recovered items stolen locally in surrounding jurisdictions.

Think this,- guy gets tired of working for a landscape maintainance company, making money for the boss. So he decides to become a lawn care company and make money for himself, equip needed to start up, trailer- easy to find and in some states easy to obtain title or license as untitled.

one or two zero turn mowers, a couple edgers, trimmers, blowers, hand mowers, etc...all easily located and stolen,

start up cost low, look at income, vs likelyhood of any officer ever running a serial number on a mower from a guy earning his living doing landscape mowing. - plus when his equipment dies from lack of maintence, who cares he just goes and steals more,

same to be said for construction cleanup with bobcat or skidstear and dump trailer,

or any other use for equipment you can think of,

But then in my line of work I have a suspicious mind.

Here's a thought,

Ted Nugent for President, everyone knows where he stands on the second amendment and he is not afraid to say so.

Here's another thought,

shame on all the "officers" who participated in the unconstitional seizure of lawfully owned and possessed firearms in New Orleans after the flood. Too bad they did not have the gonads to stand up and tell the superiors who issued the orders to seize said guns to take a hike.

Would have saved a lot of court time and let the "politicos" know we were not just a bunch of mindless uniforms carrying out unconstitional orders.

One good thing that came out of that fiasco was several states have now reaffirmed that during a natural disaster no one can lawfully order police to seize firearms of lawful persons.

And higher courts are ruling in the favor of the citizenry of New Orleans who had their rights violated.

At least after the fact someone is seeing in a clear light

I agree with the time limit on unanswered questions, I am new to the site and came across an unanswered question that I thought I might could help with but after I posted a reply I saw the question was several months old, guess I should have looked harder before posting.

For short local moves there's a couple of other options most people never think of.....

First, if the moves are short and very seldom, a tilt & load tow truck is a great option, especially for things like trips to the dealer for service. Load it up and hand the driver the keys in an envelope with your name & number written on it. No need to do anything but speak to the dealer on the phone, no trip required if you don't want to or don't have the time.

The other option is to just drive the tractor there. I road my machine back and forth to my airport all the time, it's about a half hour drive one way. I started doing it because I had 2 stops to make along the way to do 5 minute jobs at friends places, then realized I wasn't really saving any time by trailering it. By the time I hook up to the float, pull it out into the yard and load, chain the machine up, drive to the airport and unload, it still took a half hour!

Kenny, we have a large amount of well, "mobsters" here in the area. We have a saying similar to yours but we call it (standing on the bottom of the Detroit River with cement shoes on) "directing Perch traffic" (picture your arms outstretched and lazily waving in the river current directing the fish as they go by).

EW None for sale all installed. The best one is in the mechanics truck. Try keeping track of one of those guys.

The systems have a thing called "GEO FENCING" You set a area and if the equipment is moved from that area a message goes out to/by phone, email, to law or a private person or you depending what arrangements you have made with the provider.

The systems are pretty cool to use.

I would think based on previous treads concerning security on/at job sites this would work on your large tool boxes and storage containers.

The FEDS are working on a plan to have permenant mounted devices on all tanker type trucks. These will message if they are tampered with in anyway or moved etc.

So the technology is there already for your small stuff.

Wood heat is such an even warm heat! But i do need to humidify the air and use a large vaporizer and fill twice a day. Without it, you can just tell that the air is very dry and your throat feels scratchy and dry. Its worked out well, just need to get a really nice looking water container, wife hates the look of vicks plastic container sitting on the kitchen counter!!

I'm presuming you have a some sort of semi-permanent attached blade. If I was you I'd just have a local machine shop bend a set of irons in any configuration that fits your needs and use thumb screws in threaded holes (or welded nuts) following Joel's suggestion. If you're talking light duty, as long as you don't overload it, something like that would be as simple as it gets.

Dennis, it seems there should be a limit to how long a question could remain in "Unanswered Questions" if it is never answered. ie, Changing fan belt 3165. If he has not gotten that by now or by now no one here can help, it would seem it is not going to happen. That is me thought for what it is worth.

Joel, it does sound like you have nearly everything you need in "inventory" as I call it up here.

But if I may offer a few pointers;

The drive train is not the place to experiment with "I think it will be strong enough....". You can use several heavy drive belts as Art mentioned, I've seen it done, but each one I saw the owner said it was going to be changed, cold icey belts don't grip well. Besides, large long belts are spendy, and a PITA to get multiples to tension properly.

The fuel pump doesn't need to be anything more than an old outboard fuel tank of 5 gal. size. more than that will be a PITA since you can't drive it to the gas station to fill it.

We usually hit a local truck wreckers and get the drive shaft out of an old school bus, or long straight truck. They're plenty strong and cheap, real easy to shorten too.

Just remember, it's now or never as these are one run machines! The price is also right for the options, if the options fit your uses then they are still a good looking unit! I like the looks of them the best of all built so far.
