I have an applcation for a two splitter set up for sure. One person on each control and a third getting them set up. I might take it one step further and throw a generator on the thing! How cool would that be! I could probably turn around and sell the design to Binford.

Last time I looked..... admittedly a few years ago..... Kubota had excellent prices for replacement wheels and tires.

Ask for the "whole goods" price and compare to the "parts" price.

Ron,

Unless you plan on doing some plowing, or other farm related work, the turf tires will suit your needs better than any of the other types.

Turf tires are very good in the snow, much like winter radials on your vehicles. If you reduce the air pressure by about 5 pounds per tire, you'll find that you'll have excellent traction on both snow and ice.

If you have a lot of ice to deal with, you'll need tire chains. You won't have any problem driving around on the ice, but you'll have all kinds of trouble getting enough traction to push snow with a blade, or loader.

I personally think that is too much for a 2001 3010 and for you folks telling him about the 3130 tractors they are out of production Kubota introduced the L40 series in late 2006. It is now almost 2008 so if you were to find a 3130 they have been sitting outside in the weather for almost 2 years if not more so really consider the L40 and if you are price sensitive maybe think about the l3400hst with loader.

I think you are right spool or lever hanging up I do know that the 500 hydraulic valves leak like heck until i replaced all and i mean all the O-rings

Murf you may be right, but it looks to me like they removed the engine from another tractor and turned it around backward. It appears that there is the donor's old plate-steel frame sticking out to the rear. The formerly-exposed transmission input shaft from the old engine now has a belt running to it and the engine on top of it instead of in-line. This would make the drivetrain run the other direction leaving 4-5 reverse speeds and 1 or 2 forward. The PTO shaft from the donor likely lines up to the mower and would have to use a 90 degree angle drive to drive the mower via belt---it may even have the old mower's angle drive mounted close in and not have a PTO shaft at all. If you look real close the rear of the machine now where the PTO is normally on regular machines there is part of a U-joint yoke sticking out--I could be wrong.

We use a really small mortar batching plant on our jobs, but you can either improvise or just make a smaller version yourself.

The batching plant is really nothing more than a set of hoppers, each of which has an auger (much like a standard Ag. auger) that feeds whatever is in the hopper into a 'skip' bucket that has scales beneath it. You tell the auger how much weight you want in the skip, and what ratio you want it to be based on so many pounds from which hopper.

In your case I would just get a big mortar mixer and divide the quantities down to manageable quantities.

Limestone weighs 170 pounds per cubic foot, and a yard is 27 cubic feet, so a yard of limestone weighs 4590 pounds.

You want a ratio of 240 pounds of Portland to each 4,590 pounds of limestone, so you need 8.9 pounds of Portland for every cubic foot of limestone.

At that point it's not too hard to make a hopper (an old gravity bin cut down?) that has a cubic foot measure underneath it or a sized bucket on a FEL that can be struck (filled to a very precise quantity) and mixed in small one load batches.

Hi I'm looking for a spare set of rear wheels for my BX2350 as well as a lawn rake/tine.<br>
Also, if anyone has experience mowing in a lawn which sits on clay so it is wet all the time I'd be interested in any solutions you suggest. I live in Michigan. Thanks for any help or advice I'm getting tired of burying my tractor (thank God for 4X4)<br>

I could have been looking at a similar model... but, another thing I realized last night as I was looking at the dealer web site- I was looking at a State Fair model which had been used to pull around livestock trailers- probably 20 hours on it. SO, disregard that entire post. (Usually this dealer has some really good deals right after the fair.)

The most important information for identifying it is the engine model or look on the trans housing left side near the top for a model # serial # stamped in the housing near where your left leg would be when sitting on the tractor.

Unlike my CUT, it'll move (push/be dragged) in gear, just more resistance. And yes (hindsight) I thought it was working the 4110 a little more than it should have, but it wasn't "that" noticable.

I couldn't pinpoint the leak, as fluid was everywhere. I think I'll pull it back out of the shed over Thanksgiving weekend, clean things up and verify the leak point(s).

The Mickey Thompsons may not be true AG ties but they are about as close as you can get and they are radials which really adds to the inherent traction.

Kubman and EW; Nope, serious as an undertaker about the all electric drive from the generator to the wheel motors lie a locomotive"No oil needed", is the almost total elimination of lubricants required by generators and electric slave motors compared to the thirty or more gallons of oil in every farm tractor transmission regardless of gear drive, IVT, or hydrostat. The lady I speak of tells me the disposal of all that transmission fluid is also a factor in their electric drive research. And no EW, you aren't going to get me to convert to hydros. But EW another issue, I do think we should all contact our folks in government and demand rubber roads and cement wheels on the cars. Frank.
