I've had a TN-75F for about 5 years. I have 2700 hours on it and have experienced numerous problems (3 lower fuel tank replacments, transmission rebuild, numerous electrical failures) When it works, it works well, but I'm beginning to think I have a lemon or there was a general design problem with the 75 series. Most recently connecting rod broke and punched holes on both sides of the engine block.<br>

Has anyone else experienced problems with the TN Series? Thanks for any insights.<br>

What do you mean by "hole in the housing"? Can it be welded?

If someone can weld the housing up for you, the internal parts shouldn't be hard to find. Finding an entire assembly might involve purchasing a second tractor from a graveyard.

Candoarms, problem with your rig built for light weight bulky loads...along comes a load that is heavy and the rig is used and then...it is borrowed or sold to someone who does not know how light weight the rig is.

The other day I sent my wife to pick up some stones (man made). Ones we had used before may have weighed like 5 pounds. Did not realize the new better stones were in excess of 20 pounds. Want to know how my pick up looked with about 60% of the load on it? Like it was headed to the moon. The bed was far from full. BTW, just how much does the sheet rock you use there weigh? Do you sentcil the weight limit on the side? Guess that might work. kt

I did have the full-screen view of the picture and assumed the address box at the top of the page pointed to its location, my bad. When changing pictures I see that the address bar continues to point to the album and not the individual shots while the "properties" does indeed do that. Most likely that is a mistaken assumption others are making as well. Now I can help them!<br>

What is more puzzling to me is why ImageShack did not work. I will need to give that another try, perhaps the file was too large.<br>

Art, the JD controls are backward to me. I have operated almost every configuration out there but those. The swing on the left stick screws me up. Getting used to it though.<br>

I was wondering how the universal joints from the impact sockets have held up over time. I like the idea of using the pin as a shear pin in the system. Have any pictures ever been posted on this?

I'm constantly amazed at the lack of regular maintenance on some folks' tractors, equipment and vehicles. Before she gets the tractor back, it'll get new fluids, filters, etc. Oh, and a good pressure-washing! When I was doing some plumbing projects a couple of years ago, I ran hot water lines to spigots on either side of the house. It comes in handy when blasting away caked-on grime like this tractor has. Doesn't make the wife too happy, so maybe I'll put a water heater in my next shop.

Have a tractor day (any day with a tractor is a good day).

shedding more light on this, my L3130 723 loader 6'bucket w/tooth bar will lift my '55 chevy front end up enough to block it with no trouble. that said it will barely lift a full bucket of dirt high enough to load my single axle dump truck.lol. chas.

This tool has a sliding handle, which serves as a hammer. Place the gripping teeth over the head of the nail, then slam the handle down, driving the gripper teeth under the nail head.

The tool has a built-in leverage bar, so that you can easily remove the nail. As soon as you begin moving the handle to the side, the teeth close and grip the shaft of the nail, just below the head.

This tool will easily remove any roofing nail, without doing much if any damage to the roofing.

Feed roller drive shaft modification. Does anyone have any detailed info on modifying the drive shaft for the feed roller so as to incorporate U-joints or CV joints? I just bought a used machine, and while I am replacing lots of broken and warn parts, I would like to upgrade the drive shaft mechanism.

If you have a small model you might check that your hitch can lift it and there's enough weight in the front. Assuming (from the size you're looking at) you don't have a cab, you'll be constantly adjusting the outflow direction, so make sure you can reach the control from the seat. You'll operate it easiest with a snow-filled front bucket and 4 tire chains.<br>

There are many brands of rear-attach blowers; don't know why your search isn't working. A tractor dealer could tell you what brands are available in smaller sizes and made nearby.<br>
<br>
Misc. advice: Make sure it's two-stage. At the start of the season polish some car wax where you can get a blockage: the passage from the flywheel to the outflow exit. Use low-temp lube on every grease fitting after every few hours work. Before each use spritz lubricant on the chain and check its tension (chain lube or just any oil). To store for the summer, raise it off the ground (the paint will be worn off the underside) and oil-spray where debris marred the paint.
