Klienchris makes good sense. I have only been on two Northern Tool stores and they did not have any sort of repair shop there that I saw. Then neither does Tractor Supply or any other such chain that I have been into.

If they have a good shop that does the work it might be good. At any rate I do not believe the person who buys from Lowes or Home Depot and than carries the lawn mower or saw to the local what ever brand shop it is gets the same level of service as the person who bought from that shop. No doubt some will tell me I am totally wrong, but there are too many other variables than just doing the exact work. kt

It would seem if any lifting device were built so it would turn loose a load use the concrete in EW example without warning that could be dangerous. Sure would make it important to let nothing of value ever be under the load.

I do not understand how, if you are using the bucket curl pushing against a hyd or fixed linkage thumb would be any different as to possible damage. If the hyd setup had the ability to have more force than the bucket curl and that was used, that I can understand the difference.

Well three questions..
1) any brand(s) or companies anyone suggest:
2) saw a site that offered a thumb to meet the edge of the bucket and one to slip inside the bucket: thoughts
3) still wondering about a bolt on set up. Have seen one or two that bolt around the boom sort of like leaf springs and saw one that must have bolted into the bottom of the boom. Could not understan that last one unless you drill and thread the boom which I don't think would be good.

As articulate as EW is, I don't think he is photogenic. The Avatar he has is one I made up for him. He has no pictures in his album. With all the project work he has done I am sure we could all benefit from some of his photos :)<br>

I have added a new feature to the Photo Albums so that now you can "categorize" your photo. This helps so that someone who wants find pix of Barns or tractors can find them.

All new photo adds will have this. If you could you can categorize your old photos by hitting the edit button and selecting a category. That would be great if you can help in that way.

Please check the categories I have and let me know if they make sense as well.

Byagator; This past week I was visiting with a Deere dealer who had just came home form a Deere meeting that featured the new products that are coming as attachments for the XUV's. I don't remember all the things he mentioned, but dressy wheels, cabs, and lots more I can't remember now are coming. I really doubt they will offer performance items, that would crowd the line toward four wheelers. The current Gators are considerd a farm machine for insurance and liability reasons. I had an original 4X2 Gator, traded it for an HPX,then this past spring traded it for an XUV. In case byagator didn't have an HPX to campare the new one to they are as different as day and night. Everything about the new series is better, power, a bit more speed, better steering, four wheel independent suspension that is about as smooth as your pickup. Frank.

The Cub Cadet 7XXX tractor line is built for Cub by Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi has manufactured the Cub Cadet 7XXX line of tractors since 1993. The 7304 uses a Daihatsu engine. The gasoline counterpart uses a Kawasaki engine.

I'm buying an 2520 and wan't some feedback from anyone who owns and uses the backhoe on a 2520 o an 2320. I'm an electrical contractor and would be digging three feet from anywhere fron 30 to 200 feetong. How do you move the backhoe to continue digging? do you leave the tractor in neutral and push back with the bucket? How fast can you dig and how much power does it have? Any feedback would be appreciated<br>

Is this tube attached to the block drain? I have seen some with a tube. if the drain opened, the fluid will drain, but cannot relate it to the "Ping" and the smoke.
What does your oil look like? if you add water to the radiator, does it leak out? if so where?

I'm not sure I fully understand what you meant by, "they do not go low enough on the 3 point hitch".

Provided you've already checked the things already mentioned under this topic, is it possible that your three-point control lever has a lower stop adjustment that isn't allowing you to lower your 3-point hitch all the way?

If you have a knob located directly ahead of your hitch position control lever, loosen it up and slide it all the way forward.

I have two such knobs on my Kubota. One is for limiting the downward travel of the hitch -- the other for limiting the maximum height I can raise an implement. The lower limit is nice when using the middle buster, so that I don't go too deep. I've never used the upper limit knob.

This is not necessarily a new concept, it's just that now with fuel prices the way they are, etc., people are looking at every possible angle to maximize efficiencies.

I recall watching a show on TV (Discovery I believe) about the trucking industry in it's infancy of cross country hauling, in order to save on equipment and fuel the trucking companies had yards at the bottom of each side of a mountain range, a truck with a small engine would drop the trailers at the bottom for a bigger power truck to pull it up & over the mountain where it got dropped for another small power unit to pick it up and keep going.

I know of a few Kubota dealers who sell parts nationwide, via the internet. It's not unheard of for such a company to order thousands of items at one time.... usually for the price breaks that come with large quantity orders.

Coleman Equipment, in Kansas, is just one company that sells Kubota parts nationwide. I do business with them when ordering filters, oil, etc.......and I may inquire about this new seat, as well.

Talk to Mary in the parts department. She's very helpful...always!

There are a few companies that make a brush type grapple that just bolts onto the top of the existing bucket.

I would caution however, that a grapple on a bucket is pretty poor at picking up brush. If that's what you want to do you're much better off with a grapple with a set of forks.

If you look at my picture # 18 you will see a simple homemade bracket that goes on in place of the bucket including some homemade forks. All you would then need to do is add a simple pair of grapple arms driven by one smallish cylinder.
