Hardwood, take out the sheet metal again in the freezer section until you find the cooling coils and try a spray solution washing down it completely. You probably will have to wash out the food partials that are rotting in there. Of course outside and unplugged. Would do the same on the refrigerator section as the air moves between the sections on most if not all. Charcoal for grilling is something you can try placing in it to absorb the order first. Some companies did use a charcoal filter in their higher priced models to control order.

With the smell in the freezer section and not the refrigator area that could just be due to more air being pumped into the freezer section and thus more order. If this refrigator has an ice maker, be sure the smell is not in the water going to the ice maker. kt

My bobcat is set up with special rear bumper, steel tracks, and grapple bucket and weighs a bit over 8700lb. The rear bumper is 1/2" x 10" x 5' wide steel plate mounted horizontally and just under the rear engine door. The low mount keeps me from flipping backward--which happened when an a$%#* prematurely (read: wasn't paying attention) raised the back of 4' high beaver tail semi trailer I was half on and tossed me off backward! The bumper wasn't on my other machine though; I was demolishing an inground pool and slid backward into the deep end with my eyes to the sky. Luckily I had pushed some slabs of concrete in there beforehand. I keep an extra pair of UnderRoos and plenty of babywipes in the truck now :)

I have two tractors through my work. Both were givin to me brand new about two years ago. Both John Deere. One is a 50 HP geared, the other a 27 HP HST. The bigger tractor is a beast and when it comes to moving a pile of rock can get more done in a shorter period of time- but I don't enjoy doing it. I'll take the smaller HST anyday of the week because it's a blast to operate. And, my knees don't hurt at the end of the day. Also, I dont think that anybody as mentioned braking. On my HST, I very rarely use my brakes- only a couple of times over 100 hours. The machine does the slowing down for you when you tell the fluid to stop flowing. In a couple of years I will be buying myself a tractor- I dont know exactly what size, and I don't know what make- but it will have 4 wheel drive and it will have a hydrostatic transmission.

Sorry, I took it for granted that the 2520 was the old series. I'm not familliar with the new 2520, but being a subcompact it likely has a category "0" three point hitch. I've never dealt with a category "0". Frank.

My RTV had no provision for locking the front axle and I haven't seen any aftermarket gizmo's for that upgrade.

Have you actually run the Mattracks yet? I would have guessed that the RTV didn't have enough power at the wheels to use them effectively.

You can't fill this type radiator to the top, it will just expand when heated - and escape from the pressure cap. Every time you fill to the top - then run the tractor - it will do the same thing. When topping up the coolant, leave at least an inch of space at the top to allow for expansion. I've added an overflow reservior to both my KAMAs. Ten bucks at JC Whitney. <br>

I still can't feature what "black hose at the back of the engine" you're talking about. Is it safe to assume you bought this at the Lynchburg store? Because I see they advertise "Repair Services". Have you called them about this yet?<br>

Does anyone know where I can get a radio and speakers setup for the Curtis soft side cab that I have on my JD 2305? I've checked the Curtis website and their speaker console unit is going for $525. Just wondering if there is something cheaper out there.

White smoke would have indicated water, usually an indication of a blown head gasket. I hope this drives home the importance of that 50 hour maintenance, but black smoke suggests the problem lies elsewhere.

Are you sure it's "radiator fluid"? Because there's sometimes a hydraulic QD (quick disconnect) fitting right behind the hydraulic pump (right side engine, front). If that QD accidently separates - pops open - it will deadhead the pump and bog down the engine. When the engine is bogged down, black smoke comes out the exhaust. The QD separating might have sounded like a ping.

But how "radiator fluid" and "overflow tube" factor into this, I haven't quite figured out yet.

The tractor is being sold by the original owner who has moved out of state and has no need for it (I don't know the owner). The tractor is equiped with HST transmission, four wheel drive, R4 tires, but I am uncertain as to the age (forgot to ask). General condition looks good and was stored indoors. I really have no need for the mower deck at this time and was planning on adding a JD backhoe. Asking price is $17,000.

I had a bx2200 and now own a bx24.... I move my 20 foot yamaha jet boat around my acre yard with no problem... I had some grade to my property even in high gear it moves the boat right up the hill.. For pulling the boat out put the tractor in low gear and go . Very nice machine all around....

Somewhat been there, done that. My last home was a Linwood built home with a massive cathedral cieling in the Living Room. I replaced the existing cieling fan (at the peak of the roof) with a new unit and I used my 32ft extension ladder wedge into the main beam at the peak and on the hardwood floor jamed a combination of furniture to prevent slippage. I rigged an up-haul line(rope) from the upper ladder rung down to the floor and used this as a temporary pulley to haul components and as a safety line for those pieces while assembling (tie off with slack). All of my tools were in a tool belt and no one was allowed below the ladder for safety unless to attach stuff to the up-haul line. It wasn't easy and hard on the legs and nerves, but a cieling fan is great to have especially with a fireplace in the same room. Having a remote sounds even better so you can control from whereever you are. And...a great conversation piece when others look up at the fan scratching their heads wondering how it was installed!

After owning my Kioti for 2 months and getting familiar with the FEL and
mower, I decided to install the backhoe on it. I had built a couple of roads on
my property, and the mowing season was pretty much over so it was time to
move on to bigger and better things.
My father started his excavation /backhoe business in 1952. I started my
backhoe /plumbing business in 1972. He had one of the first backhoes in
our area. It was a Ford tractor (probably like an 8N�I don�t remember
exactly) with a blade on the front and a Sherman Backhoe on the back.
Back then, you could not get a FEL on a tractor with a backhoe. The backhoe
was made of tubing and before long you had wielded up all of the weak spots.
It was crude by today�s standard, but it worked. By about 1968, Ford 3400
tractors with a 10� backhoe and FEL were what my dad and I (later) used.
My point is: I have been around tractors my whole life, but these compacts are
something new to me.
The first thing I did after installing the Kioti KB2485 backhoe was to SHARPEN
THE DIGGING TEETH! Years of digging in hard Texas clay has taught me to keep
the teeth sharp. This is not good for plastic gas mains or buried cables ,but it sure
helps the machine dig easier. The teeth come from the factory very dull. A hand
held 4� grinder will do wonders! If you are digging in sand or soft soil, the sharpness
of the teeth is not all that important. It makes a big difference in hard soil.
Because I had spent 35 years operating a backhoe with 4 controls, the 2 lever
Kioti is taking some adjusting on my part. I spent about an hour getting used (somewhat)
to the controls, then I dug up two trees that had been blown down by a storm.
I dragged them to the dump area and I�ll cut them up later. I filled the holes left by
the stumps with dirt from a different area. These things are so handy!
The backhoe seems to have a lot of power, and the hydraulics are very smooth
and precise. I�ll spend most of this winter using it around my place. Maybe by Spring
I�ll be able to run it like I did my old tractors.
So far, the Kioti is doing everything I wanted and more. It sure saves me a lot
of hard, back-breaking work.

The Energy King sure looks like it would heat the house but locating it would be a major problem. It wouldn't fit in our mechanical room and getting a chimney in there would take an act of God anyway. It might be possible to fit a water-to-air heat exchanger in the air handler and remote locate a wood burning water heating appliance but those exterior wood burning furnaces make way too much smoke as they heat up and cool down. I've pretty much gone full circle with this whole house auxiliary heat issue and keep coming back to a BIG diesel generator that will provide enough oomph to start and run our heat pump during outages. That or a major construction job to rip out our two fireplaces and surrounds and rebuild them with woodburning stoves in mind. Either way it's too much money.
