Dennis...I just looked at your link for their cord measurement....Just take a look at the picture of the full chord of wood. Looks like a couple of large logs are missing to me. I Guess Mulchexpress...by the name itself...says it all.

Mobilus, spring tines are sold by Agri Supply at decent price to me. If you want something to pull up root balls look around for a old subsoiler. Price should be good and much stronger than the shanks from a box blade. They also have replacement points. Just be sure you can get points as some brands are gone. kt

Dennis, when I went to rent the wheels and such were not in the quote. Understand you may not need wheels but I was surprised what was not include in quoted rates. Guess braces were but not sure. I know the platform to work on was not. But rental is local market driven no doubt. kt

Mobilus, if you use a single 3 position 4 way solenoid (12 volt) operated valves you would then just have a switch to flip to alternate between the FEL joystick powering the remote or the bucket. A decent one will cost you about $200.

You could do the same thing with a manual valve for about $50.

Just got off the phone with my nearest Cub Cadet dealer (225 miles southwest of here.)

Cub Cadet is launching three new tractors this coming year. In addition to the Ex3200 (32 horses), they will soon be offering 24hp, 27hp, and 29hp versions. (Hope I got that right, but don't quote me.)

The current tractors are made abroad, but soon they'll be coming off assembly lines in Georgia.

Only about 30 dealers were invited to the show Yanmar put on in Cleveland, Ohio, last Spring. Only the invited dealers were allowed to pre-order the new Ex3200. The dealer in Mandan, North Dakota, ordered 3 of them. One has already been sold. He has two remaining, both with loaders. One of the tractors is on the lot, the other remains in the showroom.

I'm looking forward to a test drive.

Lakehouse, if you are still considering used: check with more than one dealer. Here used prices vary a lot from one dealer to another and one city to another. Also you may wish to search machinerytrader.com. I think they kick you to Tractor House but I like their site. If nothing else quick way to compare prices on used.

I have bought new and used both from same dealership. Used Kubota was about 60% of new for 3 year old with less than 400 hours. Kubota dealership in my town would have been 3 to 4,000 more for that same used tractor.

Without looking at the situation very closely, I wouldn't be able to tell you if you'll harm anything or not.

The glow plug is a fairly simple device. So long as it screws into the cylinder to the same depth as the original plug, I see no way of harming the engine with the different glow plugs.

The only issue you may have is with current flow to your replacement glow plugs. I can't possibly tell you whether or not the replacement glow plugs draw more or less current than the originals.

If the amperage is considerably higher, than with the original glow plugs --- you could burn out the switch, the wiring, or any relays that control the circuit. However, if everything seems to be working fine to this point, I doubt that you'll have any problems.

And yes.......the glow plug should turn bright orange, or red, within a few seconds. Most people allow the glow plugs to heat up for about 15 seconds before attempting to start a cold diesel engine.

I will do that. Next week my wife has a surgery and I am taking her out to the cabin for 5 days to recover (away from any of her usual house work that she can never seem to NOT DO) While she is laying around eating bon-bons and watching Jenny, I will be hunting the "RUT" and also working on the other property. Before I post those pics I will take next week, I should clarify this area a bit more. I call it my "pond" because it is going to be just that. Right now it is a 1/2 acre of tag alders that holds about a foot of water most all year. It is a horse shoe shaped ridge that drops as deep as I mentioned. My future house is going at the top of this area and I am clearing the brush and small trees that I dont want arouind the whole area which is about 2 acres. The rest of the 15 acres I will leave wild. I never plan to have this area grass to mow. But, I do plan on having it cleaned out and a park like look. I have a good start on it and its starting to take shape but a good brush mowing of this area would make short work or what looks to be a very long teedious job.
I will post a few pics right after we get back near the end of this month.

Could this be a belt problem? I have an HPX which was overheating, as well as experiencing some other problems. Anyways, I discovered that the belt cover was cutting into the belt which didnt break it, but caused enough problems between the alternator and water pump to cause overheating. It might be worth removing this cover to give everything a look.

Thanks for the help. My prolem is the fan won't kick in. Had it to the dealer in July and they replaced a switch or relay to the tune of $400. Now, it's overheating again. Dealer will repair at his cost, so thank goodness they stand behind it. I'll show them the water thing, but??

To pony on to what Art had to say: One of the issues with R-4's is that they are designed to support a 7000+ pound skid steer.

When you put them on a 1300 pound compact tractor the sidewalls are so stiff that they will not "go flat", even with zero air pressure in them.

I once did as Art said and reduced the pressure below 10 psi and probably got it too low. The result was the bead separated. The tire looked the same.... it just wasn't attached to the rim anymore but that didn't do much for overall performance.

Because the tire was so stiff there was no way that Joe Homeowner was going to fix the problem. It had to be removed from the tractor and taken to a specialty tire shop for to get it back on the rim.

Bottom line: if you go this route, install tubes on the tires.
