There's an easy mathematical way to figure it out--but I forgot it. My sense is, by the time you engineer it, buy the parts, build it and test it you could have installed a direct-drive or belted gas engine, probably in the 13-18 hp range if I had to guess. I have a walk-behind pavement blower that has a 8hp on it and it will blow about 40 feet. Suction (and I assume with leaf chopping ability) may be a different story.

1*I could not find a BX 1500 new and
the used ones people wanted close to 9,000 just for the tractor.
I ended up buying a Scag zero turn freedom Z for 5500.00 with a 19hp Kawasaki motor and have literally cut down my mowing time to a third of the time it used to take.
I was skeptical at first but now I am a believer.
I called 6 different dealers in a 100 mile radius from where I live and if I had come across a new BX 1500 for that amount of money or anything close to it I would have jumped on it.
The closest thing I could find was a 2000 BX 2200 with 60" mmm w/ 650 hours on it for 6500.00.
2*I waited a few days to decide and then it was gone.

1*Now you can see why I couldn't pass up a New BX1500 for$6200 and a used 350 hour one for $4425 and grabbed them both up can't you?
$9000 is pretty high for a used BX1500 tractor only with no mower considering that I can trot over to my Kubota dealer and pick up a new BX1850 with the 54 " MMM anytime for $9100.
2*I did that earlier this summer on a nice JD x455 that was a steal for $3500.

I have an old 1984 850 deere good machine. Just not what I need for the land that I have. Please give us some updates on this ex 3200 I want one real bad. I bought a M60 Cub cadet tank and a cub leaf blower. I have changed brand since this purchase. Let us know.

Gentlemen: one of my favorite sources for Kubota parts is the online dealer at: TractorSmart, just put the www. before it and .com after it, and you can order Kubota parts online at a discount.

I know they have parts for a B 7100 as I just ordered a voltage rectifier for my grey - a ZB-1600 Kubota / Zen-Noh tractor, and the fellow there (I called in) 'backchecked' it as fitting an early B-7100.

Kubota approved me for 2 loans.
One for the New BX1500 and another one for the Used BX1500.
Dealer is getting them set up and ready.

I like having the hitch on at the same time as the rear ballast for towing stuff......

But I live on a fairly steep hillside and the extra weight is necessary to keep the trailer from overpowering the tractor going downhill.

Congrats on the new Toy.
The BX1850 is a nice unit.
It's sort of a half/cross breed between the BX1500 and BX1830 of prior years.

I have a new and a used BX1500 on order now.

The Case dealer has been doing the service and is going to do a complete service of all fluids and filters prior to delivery. I purchased the machine well under market value due to cosmetic issues. It was used to plow snow so the cab doors and hood (especially the hood) look terrible. But that I can address as I have time. New tires going on this week too. The dealer split the cost with me.

Figured it out. Here's how: Kinda hard cause this model is so new, there are very few KE models herabouts. Found a Yanmar brochure online, called my KE-4 a KE-160 for the Euro / UK market (all dimesions & features exactly match), and gave the engine as a "3TNE68", so I looked up in the NAPA filter book, under Yanmar, for that engine model and bingo, I have all 3 filters- they were in stock and reasonable. No surprise, their book listed the filters & that engine as fitting a John Deere 4010 - which I already knew.

I also was able to obtain an Operators Manual for it via a UK / Ireland Equipment yard who handles Yanmar. I simply asked if they could sell me one, and bingo, they emailed me a PDF copy, gratis. God bless them - it printed out nicely and the tractor is about 99% the same as my Japan model - with minor exceptions. Like the manual says that a loader cannot be fitted, but lo and behold, mine has a nice little 42" loader that works like a champ.....

BTW, I did the same thing for a Kubota / Zen-Noh B 1600, just located an engine designation & looked it up NAPA - no sweat - got all the filters in stock.

John, It's hard to tell the actual problem as it seems you might have more then one. I haven't heard of any problems with them but everyone drives differently.
I'd see if you could get a parts breakdown of the shifters at your dealer.

If I'm not mistaken, your rear wheel size should be 9.5-16.

If this is correct, you should be able to find a wheel to match up quite easily, as it is a very common size, and is found on many different makes and models.

You'll need to know the bolt pattern (6 lug, 8 lug, etc.) and the diameter of the center hole.

Most any tractor graveyard should be able to match up a pair of rear wheels for you.

Try searching for a tractor salvage yard near you.

My temp gage needle never rises more 1/8" into the dark area on the gage face even when tilling in hot weather. Also, I have had to replace the wire that goes from the electrical harness to the sending unit. The connector broke off the factory wire so I made it a little longer then put a new connector on it.
