Frank, is that generally a "rule of thumb" about the forty acre minimum where one can be reasonably assured of reduced hassle on codes, permits, and inspections? At least I'll know what question(s) to ask for the next place. I am in the job search mode at the time; if we can swing it, and depending on where the four winds blow us to, I'd sure like to be "out" some from any type of "big smoke" area. JJ

Paraha; I'm afraid you would be wasting your money to set the walls of a building on a slab. You need a stem wall that goes a bit deeper than your normal frost penetration. The standard around here, (Eastern Iowa)is 42 inches below grade. If you are subject to any local building codes, I'm sure that your plan wouldn't be approved. If you are going to put the time and money into a building the footing and stem wall will make it a bit more exoensive but well worth it, the building will stand for a long time. Frank.

Even tho EW and I butt heads on lots of subjects, I'll have to go along with him on this one. The little high speed rice burners just aren't built to lug liked an old "M" Farmall. There is probably some formula somewhere that tells folks who need to know that it takes approximately the same amount of cubic inch displacement of engine size per minute to produce a given amount of torque.
Example; Two engines both four cylinder four stroke.
First one 200 cubic inch displacemetn running at 1000 RPM, so effective displacment producing torque per minute 100,000 cubic inches.
Second engine 100 cubic inch displacement running at 2000 RPM, identical, 100,000 Cubic inches of effective displacement producing torque per minute.
Result being less weight and engine size is made up for with speed to produce identical power.
I know I'm stepping into engineer territory here which I am not, so I know volumetric effeciency differences, etc. all kick in here too. so Murf or any other engineers here, you pick a side and we'll argue this, we need a new subject now and then to kick around. Frank.

I e mailed them once and it was a big sob story about him selling it cause it was his brother's in England that died in a car accident and he's in Texas. The price was cheap because in England there is no demand for them. Mai himm two days laer and a whole different story. Now it's in Georgia???? At 2600 dollars for a 7510. Had to be a scam. At those prices I'd have several tractors.

Klienkris; From what I've heard the dealers just don't want to mess with them and would way rather sell Gators. Reason being a Gator is considered a farm machine, no wavers, releases, on and on to fill out and sign to sell like a four wheeler to realese them and Deere, and anyone who even walked past the four wheeler from being sued someone gets hurt and sues everybody form the dealership, to Deere, to the driver who delivered it, on and on. I know nothing about Deere or any other brand four wheelers, I've never driven one. Frank.

All. I am new to the forum and have the following ??<br>
Am about to purchase a new BX2350 and MMM for a 13 acre mowing and towing task in Ark. unerstand the BX2350 is to be treated with care, no overloading, etc. I will be towing gravel for road build, not having the $$ for a FEL now. Also, towing a finish mower, cuts 60" with a BandS engine driver. I have reviewed the prices mentioned on the forum and the dealer relationships. Trust and Verify....<br>
Would appreciate comments, cautions, reccommendations etc.<br>

I just bought a B7800 w/ shredder, disc harrow, and loader. I opted for the 5 year, 6.49% interest. There is no pre-payment penalty on the loan through Kubota finance program. Also, they did not require any money down. That's the perk I liked.

I am looking at a 620 AC with a sickle bar mower. This tractor looks to be in good shape with little sign of use and the price seems good but, this is the first 620 I have ever seen so I was hoping to get some advice. Are there any problems common to this tractor, weak spots, things I should check before buying? Can you still get parts and accessories, implements ? Is the PTO supposed to be female or is there something missing? Anything you can tell me will be appreciated.<br>

My Dad has a 917 AC that he bought used some 20 years ago that has (still is ) been a great machine and I'm hoping to try another 20+ year used AC.

I have only had this tractor about a year. the man I bought it off of said it was doing it to him just every once in awhile,He said he had the pump rebuilt.the problem

Thanks, Hardwood. That is what I am debating inside these days. If it is said 2-year-bumper2bumper, then everytime I have to use trailer to send, that is equal no warranty to me. <br>
Local dealer suppose to be much easier, but totally depense.<br>
To my case, for MF 1540 with 12 tranny powershulter is the the one I liked the most. Dealer is in less one mile only. Local friends recommand. Only issue is the price $1800 higher than South states. PA price is much better, but I can not see much different about dealer locate 70miles or 1000miles away. Do I really care about that $1800 if I want use it to run a biz? I think not. Could be more concerning about unfair than cash value itself.

Here's one that might work for you. It opens a garage door using batter power, up to 20 times on one charge.

thinking of buying a used grizzly back hoe, does anybody have any imfo on what hydraulic valve they used and if anybody still has parts for them, any , any imfo will help me.what i,m in need of is the main pressure relief valve on the valve bank, the previous owner had it switched to closed center hydraulics i need open center hyds. on my tractor set up, does any body know what valve is used?

How far are you going to have to travel in order get your tractor fixed? If it isn't too far to Salem, you might be better off putting it on a trailer.

If you're going to have to haul it a long way, maybe you can find a local repair shop who will tackle the project, so long as you can assure them that they can get the parts they need through Northern Tool.

I would contact your local tractor dealer and ask them if they wouldn't give Northern Tool a jingle. Once they speak to the parts department at Northern Tool, they may decide to take on the project.

Rather than a lack of parts, I'm thinking your local tractor shop won't touch the project due to a lack of technical manuals.....ie, torque specs, assembly diagrams, etc. If Northern Tool can supply you with these important books, along with the parts, I'll bet you could get it fixed locally.

If you can order these books and data sheets from Northern Tool, it will be well worth your investment. Let your local repair shop use them, but then make sure you get them back in one piece.

Give it a shot. You might be surprised how willing some people are to help, if only they can get all the information and parts they need to accomplish the job.

Depending on your skill level, shop tools, and experience with mechanical devices.........once you receive the manuals and the spec sheets, you might find that this repair is something you can handle on your own, with a little help from a friend, neighbor, or a family member.....or all three!

Joel, looks you like full market-driven. I agree with your comment on Congressman:-) They are too professional. Look at the cost of election. But here is the issue, besides the social cost, othertning is who execute the law. I believe every law is very reasonable at the time it create. But when time passed, it will be dead because executer changed. Every social system has delay.

The tractor has a hose that loops on the power beyound. Which I have inspected and seems to be working fine ... the loader,backhoe and power steering are working right .After alot of inspecting of the overload,rockshaft and main relief valves and hyd lines on the tractor .I pulled the rockshaft housing (thought something might have came loose inside it) everything looked good inside it .... (going by the parts and tec manuals) I did however notice the main spool in the rockshaft valve was not touching the feedbackarm ( not sure if that is right) and the pistion was all the way back also... when I would move the leaver only the feedbach arm would move not touching the spool later on when I went to put it back on( hours later) the feedback arm was touching the spool , pushing it in and out when I would move the control arm , after puting it on and starting up the tractor it sounded like the main spool was pulled right back in so it could not touch the feedback arm I hope this infor will help...
