Mostly; Just as a bit of a followup to my first post. If your goal is to save money and not give up performance the front wheel assist is not the option to delete, perhaps get a gear drive instead of a hydostat, I think that saves around a thousand bucks on a Deere. I don't even know the cost difference between a 2wd. and a 4wd., just ignore that and get the 4wd., you'll never be sorry. I can hear the hydro boys and girls already getting ready to tell you what a Wacko I am for not having hydros. I've already traded off two Deere 12/12 Power Reversers and not a word was ever said about them being less valuable than a hydro. Hydros are for lawn mowers and combines, not compact, or farm tractore, just a power parasite. OK boys, (And girls) deluge him with all the Hydro propaganda, but he still don't need it. Nuff from me. Frank.

Joel, how did you dig that up ? Sounds perfect, 20 KW units powered by Isuzu engines ? Can they be inspected anytime before the auction ?

Just so happens I'll be in Moreno Valley - where this auction company is - two weeks from now, on July 21st.

A buddy has a huge ranch just up the road from there, he needs one like that, too.

I may just take a peek - if they can be seen that is !

Sorry for the bad info on the oil filter and for hijacking the thread!

The filter I have on my E14D is an STP 02827 but I cannot find one anywhere. I was told the E14D is the same as a Massey Ferguson 1010. Fram's web site shows this tractor takes a PH2951. I bought an equivalent in a cheap brand and it fits. The rubber seal has a bigger diameter and overhangs the oil filter mount but it should seal just fine.

I'd be interesting in knowing more about the BX22 you have for sale. I found your posting as a result of a google search. I live in Texas so, to make it worth my time to buy a tractor in the Cincinatti area, I would need it to be a good deal. Well, Rural King sells the EPA approved FT254 (Foton 25hp/4wd) with an American made loader (Spirit from Wisconsin) for $9600. You'd have to contact RK to see whether it's shuttle equipped. Then consider whether or not the trailer and various implements offered with that AgKing package are worth the extra $3900. My guess would be no.<br>

Just might want to look into spraying the inside of the operators compartment. Under the rubber mat and going up to the firewall. Seen several of these done in my area, was a real big PLUS for the protection of the RTV. I myself, plan on having this done in the close future. The Rhino Brand sprayliner installer is about 110 miles from me, so I am trying to set up a date so I may take off and make that trip with our RTV unit. May I also make a note, that Rhino liner as far as we are concerned, is the strongest. Seen others, nothing last as long and compares to the strength on the Rhino. We've tried others, and will never make that mistake again. The RTV is a great investment, and a SUPER machine. I, like you,want to take the very best care of it as we can. <br>
Also, need to install a V4271 High Mount Cleaner ROPS Kit on your RTV. I also have a Worksite Model. And this will help you more ways than one. The air box behind the cab will suck up more dust / dirt that you will ever imagine, the factory installed box behind the cab, is set down where the cab forms a vacuum around the air box, which brings all matter into it. Install a high mount, and your troubles will be over. I have only 35 hrs on mine. I myself just installed a Ramsy Winch, Kubota Glass Windshield,implement lights on front and back, and a Remote Control GoLight in the front (Middle). Waiting to get the Rhinoliner installed .......<br>

Have you tried eBay? There are guys who all they do is ell decals. Also, if you have the existing decal or one similar from a brochure, advertisement, etc. a good, competent vynil letter sign company should be able to scan or replicate the old one to a tee. I've recreated some of my own construction equipment decals so well people think they were factory (a fresh paint job doesn't hurt too).

AgraCats are rebadged Jinmas, and both JM254s I had would collect seed/chaff/dust in the lower 1/3 of the radiator fins. The battery is in the way, so you can see this without removing the radiator. That's the best way to clean them anyway - out of the tractor. Compressed air is best - blowing from the back side. Power washers can inflict permanent damage to the fins.

In addition to the battery blockage, that air cleaner housing is in a bad place too. The suction from the intake creates a vortex that the little pull fan behind the radiator can't overcome. I used a three foot section of 2" suction hose to remote the fresh air intake. Once the intake got plenty of cool air from alongside the fuel tank, things started cooling down nicely. So cool in fact that I moved the intake hose to the exhaust side of the engine for winter use.

The radiator cap sucks too, but make sure to replace it with a 7PSI or less (OE is only 3-4 PSI). If you put a standard 15psi cap on there, the radiator seams and hose ends will start weeping. The engine blocks are usually filthy, so a commercial cleaner can't hurt. And if you replace the thermostat, make sure it's for the 80C operating range. That's about 176F if you find an American one that fits.

I allready have a single spool valve and just hooked it up by splitting the hydraulic line for the front valve and running it to the remote and back to the loader valve works great. it was an open center valve. thanks for the info btw where did you get a toplink for $30 the only ones I've seen were on ebay for $150 to $250? thanks Ken.

I have 37 hp and I mostly use mine to cut grass so it does not seem to affect my hp at all. The only time I even know the compressor is cycling is when I am outside the cab at a idle and I can hear it click in and I don't hear the engine die down any when it does. The compressor is a very small one anyway. As far as using a hoe JD says you can't install a hoe with the small can tractor. I guess because the back window there is not enough room.
As far as going inside a garage i don't think the cab tractor is as tall as a non cab. Mine goes in a 8' doorway and has about 6" left. I have R 3 turf tires on mine.

First off, as crazy as it sounds, in most cases taking the hood off will make the engine run HOTTER, not cooler.

The hood is usually an integral part of the shrouding that forces all the air the fan can make through the radiator and back across the engine itself. If you run the machine with the hood off there is nothing to force the air through the radiator.

As for the flow through the radiator, there are two points that apply.

First, yes, a lot of smaller Asian machines were made with no water pump at all, the convection flow caused by hot water rising, and cool water falling is all that causes the circulation to occur.

Second, all you need to do is to remove the radiator hoses and make up a reducer or something to allow you to put a garden hose to first the outlet side (bottom), then the inlet side (top), and then back and forth till the water runs absolutely clear in both directions.

If that doesn't help, you can always jury-rig a water pump in to circulate the coolant a little more.

Also, if it does have a water pump, check that the thermostat isn't stuck shut (or partly shut) and that the rad cap is making the amount of pressure it's rated for.

It is a manufacturing mistake.

It is a carry over from the 16" mould which (by law) must say "mount only on 16" rim" or words to that effect, this was because at the time, 16.5" tires for pickups were cheap and plentiful, and 16" rims were not, so people would put a 16" trailer tire on a 16.5" rim, and it would work...... for a while. :(

Just replace them with a set of ST205/75R15 tires from a reputable manufacturer and you (and the boat) will be fine. Are you sure though that you don't have the weight numbers on the boat wrong though? A ST205/75R15 tire is only a load range 'C' tire, i.e. 6 ply rating, and is only rated for 1,820 pounds, so 2 of them would only be rated for 3,640 pounds, but you say you are higher than that. If that's the case you should consider getting the next size larger tire which is a ST225/75R15 but is rated for 2,540 pounds each, which gives you an extra 720 pounds each, or 1,440 pounds total weight carrying capacity.

If this is the case then you should also ensure that the axle and suspension on your trailer (look at the weights listed on the manufacturer data plate) is rated for at least 4,000 pounds also.

If you have 3,500 pound capacity running gear (axle & springs) and 3,640 pounds of tire, but a gross weight exceeding that, someone will point an accusing finger if there's ever a problem.

I don't know how far you from Albany, but I doubt you'll find better prices or service than at Redneck Trailer Supplies, I dealt with them for years when I was manufacturing trailers and truck bodies. Good people.
