I was going to attempt that the other night but ran out of time. It looks like I'm going to have to remove the floor pan and maybe a fender in order to get a clear view of the complete adjustment dial linkage/mechanism and LH/RH mower links.

Will let you know the results.

RLS, I'm an overly fussy person when it comes to repairs and / or maintenance, a spin-off from being a pilot, it's got to be perfect or else.

If you look at my picture # ^ you will see part of my fleet, not ONE of them has a leak in the front end, and they do not run 90W diff. lube in them. Occaissionally a leak appears, and the seal is replaced right off. It's not a huge job, but it is a bit of a PITA.

I'm a little north of you still and would be concerned about the long-term effects of running heavier lube in the front end with much winter use. That fluid is isolated from the rest of the system and so is not warmed from the engine and tranny.

If anything I would investigate some sort of seal conditioner that was a) compatible with the existing lube, and b) able to seal the leak without replacing the seal before I resorted to a fluid changeover.

Reading about your neighbors and knowing they would already have the equipment to work your land why don't you let them use it for a year? Even if it was free you still would gain a better knowledge of your ground and your needs by watching them.

Hi Dennis,
My brother-in-law has scanned and emailed to me the manual pages that need to be translated or explained. It's actually just parts of the pages. He's really concerned about bolt tightenings. What I need to know is how can I get this to you? I'll be leaving on Saturday so if we can't get this taken care of now, that is absolutely OK. This is at your convenience. Or if you would rather not do this then please just let me know. I want to let him know that I have someone to help us out.

Crunch; You guys have had me thinking about this most of the afternoon. First off I'm not doubing anything you guys have said about using the stabilizers, I'd just never heard of that before. I was trying to remember how long I've had the 48, I bought a 4300 tractor shortly after they came out then bought the hoe the next summer then I traded the 4300 for my present 4310 about a year after they came out. The dealer transfered the hoe mounting brackets as part of the trade. I have no idea how many times the hoe has been on then off the tractor, it has been so simple to mount that I thought nothing of mounting it for a five minute job. I will admit to one tough mounting tho. The first time I too it off I set it down on an uneven gravel floor of an old shed. learned real fast to always park it on a level concreet floor and things work fine Frank.
PS; I did forget to mention that I always take out the six inch or so long bolt that the hoe seat pivots on to tip the seat up, then just take the seat off, it makes it lots simpler to reach the couplers you have to hook or unhook.

So far I have found Vista to be less stable than XP (big surprise!). I have it connected to my home LAN with other XP computers. Every day I come home from work I have to restart the printers for my wife (who uses the Vista laptop) which are connected to my main XP computer. The printers are working fine for the XP computer. Today I had to restart my router for the Vista laptop. All the XP systems were working fine.

We service/prep 99% of all the chippers we sell. Change/fliping the blades is a two man job for sure. You may have already done this .........but we have found that if we remove the 4 bolts that hold the feed shoot on makes holding the allen head bolts easier while turning the nuts..... anvil to.<br>

I bought a nylon JD tool box for a JD lawnmower with a large strap that can be clipped around both rops uprights. Since I have the backhoe on most of the time it sits in the backhoe seat while the strap around the rops holds it in.

The problem is the engine block is not completely full and the water is not getting to the pump yet.<br>
Here is the solution.<br>
At the top of the engine near the carburator is a small bolt.<br>
12mm wrench I think. Remove the screw.<br>
With the engine running, slowly fill the the hole with fluid. An old oil bottle with a pour spout works best. I had to fill mine a few times after running it for a while until the system is full. Never had a problem after that.<br>

The box blade alone is enough weight to counter ballance the loader. Check the weight differences between brands before you buy. If you need more weight than the box blade alone you are probably expecting your loader to do more than it ws designed to do. Another thing to consider is that by using a Quick coupler or the Deere Imatch hitch you ae setting the impliment about 3 inches further back from the tractor, all those things add up to create more effective ballast for the loader. Frank.

Things to look for, a wider tire the same height or diameter. Duals would also help to keep you from going down or sinking in.

Here's a little bit of what I know about the Mitsubishi line of tractors........which ain't much.

Mitsubishi Tractor Company isn't very old. They purchased the Satoh line of tractors back in the mid 1980s. Satoh tractors were produced from the early 1900s through 1980. After 1980, all Satoh tractors fell under the Mitsubishi line.

Japanese manufacturers do not use horsepower ratings on their tags. If you can find the information on your tractor tag, it will likely be expressed in Kilo-watts (kW). 14.7 kW = appx. 20 horsepower.

1 kilowatt is equal to 1.3410221 horsepower. To make things simple, multiply your kilowatt rating by 1.341 to find your tractor's horsepower rating.

From what I can tell, the model 1800D is a grey model. The U.S. equivalent is the 180D. There is likely no manual for the 1800D printed in English. However, the manual for the 180D is printed in English, and it is a very close copy of the 1800D. Most, if not all parts, are interchangeable, with the exception of the engine.

I believe the Japanese tractors have different engines. The engine parts will be different. Unless you are needing engine parts, the parts manual for the 180D should suit your needs.

U.S. engines are designated as either K3A, K3C, K3D, K3H, or K3M. I have no idea what the Japanese designation would be, nor do I know why the engines are different in the various international models. For some odd reason, I suspect Uncle Sam has his dirty little fingers involved in this somehow.

You will likely find a manual for your tractor, printed in English, by visiting Ebay.

Try Ebay auction# 320129854983. You might also try Ebay auction #320004943550. Both auctions offer a manual for the U.S. version Model 180D. However, it appears that both auctions originate in Australia. If you can find a U.S. dealer, selling Mitsubishi tractors, he may also be able to find you a manual.

I put 10 grass carp in my one acre pond. I think that it was 5 to many. There is no grass, cattails, or any kind of green vegetation where the carp can reach it. They have eaten the leaves off of the weeping willows that reach the water and any grass along the edge. I do not know how they will do with 8 or ten foot tall cattails. They even ate the floating algea. In Ga. the carp that I bought was sterile (State law)each state has a policy on grass carp your DNR (department of natural resources) should be able to help you with a vendor in your area. Ten years ago mine cost me $7.oo apeice for 12" carp.

Thanks. I saw those but wasn't sure if they were really indicative. A sample set of 2 isn't exactly definitive, IMO.

I'm hoping to get an FEL for it at some point to help with barn chores and maybe clear the drive. I know 2WD can be a problem but this land is flat, like a pancake. Of course, getting a ROPS is the first order of business. I'm a tractor newbie and flat land or not, I'd find a way to roll it. Can't believe the previous owner didn't spend the $200 to get the rollbar kit.

I would suppose burning stumps is like other things, some are safe and other situations are not. The only trees here who stumps will burn in the ground are pine and then only after rotting and the heart turning into lightwood. In that process most roots have rotted away. I have never known of any problem with the burning of these stumps in the ground UNLESS they are in a forrest type area. That would be asking for a problem. kt
