Hello,<br>
I am considering the purchase of a bx2350 for cutting 10 acres of grass.The dealer claims that the bx is well suited for this purpose,is the BX a better machine than the B7510hsd, would they be considered equal.The B7510 seems to be a more substantial machine.Any feed back would be much appreciated.<br>

Happyguy; If your friend told you the 4310 has 45 horsepower then better be careful of what else he or she tells you about the tractor. I have a 4310, they are a great little tractor, but about 32 horse at best. Frank.

I am looking for a Hood for a B6000 Kubota one of the 1st in the US I missed a salvage one about a month ago any body know of one would be greatly appreciated if some one would contact me Thanx

Here's what he did:

He stuck a large wood post under the gate where the bed and the gate meet, so that it wouldn't give when he drove up on it. It worked. We just happened to have a couple of those posts.

Another method that would've worked is attaching a chain or cable to the top link and then get on the front side of the trailer and use the tractor to pull it up the ramp with somebody guiding it. That's how the tractor place got it off of the trailer.

I have a B6000 that was one of the 1st in the US 4x4 and I think it is only 11Horse Power correct me if I am wrong & it is one of the most willing little tractors on the market I have filled in around 2200 ft of ditch with it & it keeps going

Saw your post on Gseries tractors. I own a 6200H with 960 hours. Bought it with 900. Serviced all the fluids at 947hr and it runs great. Some scratches on the deck but no rust. Waxed it and buffed out scratcheson the hood and replaced the mascot on the front. Looks like new. Rattles at low idle, sounds like the transmission fan on the drive shaft. Normal? Looking for attachments. Plow, bagger, 3pt, and rear tiller. Bagger more than any. Any suggestions? Also, cheap places to get replacement parts. Let me know.

Anyone know if there are any parts out there for the frame, gears etc.? Or for the engine? I think the original company was in Minnesota or there abouts. It was sold off to a company now in Cal. maybe? Their parts don't fit as far as I kow.<br>

I am a new user. I recently purchased a hinomot e2604 tractor and other equipment to use on my small farm. I really like how the tractor handles. Recently my boyfriend used the tractor to complete some bushhogging he needed to do and broke the shaft assembly. I need to know where I could possible find these parts, if the allis chalmers or massey will inter change with it. One good ole boy told me that the allis 5230 will but I have not found any thing to back this up.I would appreciate any help.<br>

Kangaroo and Art; First Art is right on with the tire choice advice, Ag work needs R-1 tires, but they are nasty on the lawn. I use R-4's, they are gentle enough for the lawn but they don't hold a candle to R-1's for field work, I've got other tractors for that. My next queation is to both of you, please describe what you call "Muck Land". Are you are talking about flat black soils that are poorly drained and high in organic matter, but the best soil types on the face of the earth when tiled out? Around here we called that Slough ground,(Pronounced Slew), or in simple terms swamp land. It got farmed some years when we had a dry spring, but in years of normal rainfall it sometimes just went unused. It was just bogs and slough grass that cattle wouldn't eat, some of it that was never farmed was virgin praire. I don't know if I should be proud to say that I'm old enough to have broken virgin praire or not, but I did drain and break virgin praire in the early 60's. After WW2 farmers began to realize that the most productive soil types they owned were in the sloughs and bogs. That is when drain tile came into the picture. During about a 20 year period after WW2 Uncle Sam even paid part of the cost to drain the swamps and turn it into the best corn producing land in the world. Not to brag, but we Iowan's own 25% of the grade A farmland in the USA. In the past few years the State DNR has put strict rules in place to stop draining the "Wetlands" in Iowa for the benefit of the wildlife, so if you did'nt get the swamp drained 20 years ago either forget it or do it in the dark. All this rambling is leading up to me wondering if your New York "Muck Land" is the same as our Swamp land and needs to be tiled before it is productive or if it is naturally drained enough to make it easy to farm. Thought I was in a real bind on this. This forum gives me hope. Thanks for this info. I will look at fastner suppliers and since the bolts would have been produced in bulk I would think they are out there. I would never have known about the grade etc. Thanks again.

Mike there are airless tires for most everything. To relate to the problem with what you had with your chosen replacement I'd say they didn't have enough load carring ability using to small of bearings.

The only ones that won't take it are the hydro's by the book. It is rare to sell one but there are times they are neeeded to work with different tools.

I sealed my shop's concrete with a hospital (clean room) grade sealer, but even light traffic wears it off in less than 12 months.

I looked into various epoxy coatings a couple of years ago. I found one manufacturer that offered a ton of different options. Due to the fact I have a 10,000 pound fork lift that gets some pretty regular use on the floor - they did not recommend any of the epoxies. What the did have was large 'rubber' pieces you could expoy/adhere to the floor. This is kind of like large industrial tile. I didn't even price that out, as it didn't appeal to me.

I have found the comments concerning vehicle use wearing off epoxies as good information, as I was considering it in the garage - maybe not now...

That's the problem with walk behinds: they don't reverse. And there are different types of sulkys too. There is one that has one wheel in the center like a caster that you straddle (it folds up too) and there is a sit-down type too that is like a trailer. It's difficult to steer as you have to throw your arms and body way out to follow the mower handles.
