How do we say thank you for such? There just is no human way to thank people who give so much, and if we did not have them how terrible our lives would be. We are very blessed there are those who have such a love they are willing to place their lives in harms way. Often as I look at my Grandson I think of the solider who's name is on the cross near my back door who gave his life for this country. A man I never knew who died for my grandson and my family, who he never knew. Why can not those in Washington have just one shred of such love of Country?

The 455 does not come with a 3 point hitch as standard equipment and the BX does. Do they both have the same stuff?

My shop floor at the company yard as well as my hangar (both poured by the same company) were both coloured with a very fine powder while the concrete was still wet right after it was trowelled smooth.

This style of finishing results in a colour that is part of the concrete and in fact goes down some 1/2" or so too.

It was also ridiculously inexpensive. If I remember right it cost me about $100 to do the hangar floor which is a little over 3,000 sq. feet.

I've yet to find a surface coating that didn't come off and or be insanely expensive in the first place.

The stones will kill a reverse tine as they tend to run them over the top a jam them up. For most all conditions the forward work well and they tend to bury the trash instead of leaving it on the top. Four foot would be the largest that I'd be looking for but no more!

The quarter inching valve is a big improvement over a just up down lever, but the problem is that when you are grading you are moving and as your front wheels go up over any bumps you need to adjust the blade or it will dig or lift. The qtr inch valve has a latency because you have to check if that was enough then again apply or uapply it repeatedly until you get it right. By the time you get it right your missed it LOL.<br>

I use it and wouldn't go without it but I know after using it I would buy position control instead now that I know how it works, particularly if grading with the 3PH was a major part of my work.<br>

The way it works is you have a lever with up down end points, there is a half up and half down detent position that if you go to neutral to detent and back its supposed to be a qtr inch at the implement. To get an inch its 4 throws to detent to get it up an inch. So you can see if you are moving even slowly this is a problem and you always have to be looking to see if you raised it enough. With position control the lever position is the position of the implement, there is no rocking back and forth, and it moves to the levered position instantly.<br>

Do you mean how the bucket fastens to the loader arms? If so, it is not a quick attach. There is a bracket welded on the bucket with two pin location/bushings and a pivot stop.

As far as using OWT, not all trusses are designed to carry that kind of load. Around here trusses are rated at a min. of 30 lb. psf. And be sure the trssues are properly fastened and cross-braced. Otherwise, if they are loose they can bow or twist sideways and flip sideways becoming useless at that point.

Not sure why Murf's golf ball made me wonder, have you check the grear box to be sure of the oil level in it?

BTW Murf, have know of a piece of wood doing about the same. Sure messed up the car door it hit at least a 100 feet away. No EW, I was not on either end.

Blueman, this is a topic were being VERY specific helps with the diagnosis.

You said "pressure drop", but I suspect you meant to say "drop in flow rates" and not pressure.

If it is indeed a drop in flow, and GE has a suggestion as specific as the tank outlet, then you can pretty much guess thats a known problem.

If you can fiddle around with the connections a bit you might want to try applying some 'input' water pressure to the 'outlet' side of the tank and see if you can flush the blockage free.

Sometimes you can take the fitting off right at the tank and if so, possibly see, and even get a pair of needle nose pliers on the blockage.

You might also want to see if you can find some sort of solvent product that is safe to use in potable water systems to disolve the blockage.

I am new to the forum although I have been reading for a while. I now have a good reason to ask everyone for their views. I have spent the last eight years with my Deere 4200 collar shift clearing and smoothing out our 15 acres and received the bad news that the rear end is about to give up the ghost. The diff lock no longer works and the mechanic told me that the rearend possibly would fail soon. Discussions with the chief financial officer has resulted in the approval to buy a 5225. Now the research is on to see what I want on it. After eight years with a collar shift transmision, the first thing is a power reverser. The main reason for going with the 5000 series is for the larger size frame and weight for moving round bales. I know the larger 4000 series will do it but I would like to have something that is not on the borderline of its capabilities. I haven't seen much on the 5x25 on the board and was wondering what the general opinion is of them and what would be the best way to order it. I will be getting a FEL for it of coarse.<br>

If you go to tractorhouse.com and look at the Kubota tractors listed there, you'll find that the asking price of 8250.00 is a danged good deal, and one that I would never pass up on.

Click on the KUBOTA link.

From there you can pick from the list of Kubota tractors. In your case, you'll want to click on the B2910HST models.

currently there is one B2910HST listed. It includes a loader and a rear box blade. This particular tractor is a model year 2001 with 130 hours on the tractor. Asking price is 14,500.

8200 dollars is a bargain. Jump on it, provided there is nothing wrong with the tractor.

1973 Mustang convertible purchased new in 1973 by A girl I grew up with and have known all my life. I probably hadn't seen this car for over 25 years.Didn't even know if she still had it until a few months ago.
Mercury Cougar that was owned by her dad many years ago. Don't know who owns it now.

Oh yeah - and my Dad eventually put in a couple chinese non-reproducing carp that were supposed to eat weeds (not cattails). I wasn't living home at that time but he seemed to be pleased with them. I think they were made available through the conservation department.

Extra weight the CUT carries around will lead to earlier wear on bearings, seals, tie rod ends etc. From a practical standpoint, no, leaving them on isn't a big deal. However, if the ground isn't flat you're raising the center of gravity which isn't good. The extra weight will contribute to rutting if the soil/grass isn't stable.

I test-drove a guy's CUT with a MMM and FEL installed. He left the MMM on all the time---even when doing loader work. I saw about a five gallon bucket full of dirt loaded up on the deck surrounding the $pindles and everything el$e that moved. I passed on it, and bought new.

Anyone know for sure if a creeper option is available for the 3240 FST? The specs PDF on the Kubota website says creeper available for gear trans but the features PDF mentions creeper for the GST but says nothing about creeper for FST. I know with the 3130 creeper was only available for the GST. Thanks for your help!
