Just brought home an HP windows laptop with Vista. Nothing is easy. Couldn't get it running with wireless - it did work with my wired network. I figured it was because of my encryption settings. I spent 3 hours looking for security settings but couldn't find them. Noooo - everything is automatic in Vista. Ended calling HP help (India) and they uninstalled my wireless drivers so that they would re-install correctly. Then wireless worked. Automatic is great as long as everything works. The jury is out.

KT has a point (and it's not necessarily on his head this time)---what will prevent washing out again?

The 33D will do it no problem with a 6' box blade which is waht I use for commerical fine grading. It will take about a day. Use scarifiers and that will cut your time in half. Also, run with the scraifiers all the way down and crisscross rows which will really loosen it up quciker than going in one direction.

You might want to rent a medium to large skid steer which will get it done in about an hour.

Advice -Use my tractor or have bulldozer do it

A friend of mine told me it is safe to remove and mount my rear wheels rim inside out and adding custom spacers to increase the distance between the rear tires.. He says make the tractor more stable on slopes. By doing this will it help or make the tractor more unstable when turning? I need to complete the landscape around my home. My backyard is sloped at about 5 degrees. To be on the safe side I have been driving down the slope then backing up it. But The time has come to go cross slope in some areas. I cant find any information on what angle this tractor can be safely operated. Can anyone help<br>

Thank you guys for your time and advices.
I've done it over the weekend.

It is 2400 lb trailer , Kubota 3400 with FEL is about 4000. Total 6500 lb and F150 towing capacity is 9000. No working NO traffic.
I am not sure , if I want to take it back home w/o brakes /300 miles/..........
But, I have 4 months to decide. I like the trailer, but it is too heavy for f 150, indeed.
So, I will sell it and will have to buy something else. I definitively need something light....and..... good. Something about 1500 pounds of weight, 16/18 ft, with ramps. Since Kubota will have a backhoe eventually, I should have a good trailer. ANY SUGGESTIONS??????
I mean who makes a good trailer for a decent money , I am in IL. but traveling is not an issue. I mean , about 400 miles would be a limit, anyway.

hey guys thanks, i checked and there wasnt any problems with clearance by the tires but while looking around i noticed on the top of the mower in the front right side i noticed there is a lip that is welded on for support maybe (it says bx on it) that is hitting on my frame. thanks for the input guys

In general images in browsers are cached so they are local to your machine after the first visit so they load instantly on each page. So it really is not a choice of which thing to load first, and I am not intentionally loading ads first, they just load as they are coded in the page.<br>

The forum content is a call from your browser to the server where your request is processed and then sent back to you over the internet. Everyones network connection can be different not only in the purchased speed but also in the path taken to get to the host server.<br>

I respectfully disagree Dennis. Since I'm on a T1 equivalent, I set my browser to load new pages every time. And every time the advertising loads first. I then wait for up to 30 seconds for your server to actually deliver the forum content. I really do believe it's a matter of prioritization at the webserver.<br>

We went through this one time before, when you first introduced the Google-supplied advertising. At that time, they were taking up more space than did the forum body itself. You were successful in tuning that up, I think the page loading file prioritization may be somewhere down that same street<br>

While pages can be re-arranged, and you can 'flush' responses to the web browser, I don't believe there's a guaranteed method to send prioritized content from the server to an individual's browser. (Standard html does have tags like 'load me first').<br>

Most web browsers like to see completed tables (more like complete page layouts) prior to populating your screen with data and images. Once a page or table layout is completed, images tend to be the last items populated, with text being the first.<br>

Maybe Dennis can shed some insight into the download size in the typical advertisments - and I would guess your T1 should handle them in mere seconds. Hence, I'm wondering if you're having issue with any other web pages - possibly an issue with your PC?<br>

You got it backwards Jason. I get all the adverts almost instantaneously. It's the forum body and text that takes so much longer to load. I know ad-free forums are few and far between. So I'm not asking for the adds to disappear. I'd just prefer to see the actual forum load, the adds can follow at their leisure.<br>

I agree that it has gotten slower in the past 6-12 months. Advertising naturally comes in first. Several times a week it fails to load for me. I noticed a long time ago that it first seems to load as tractopoint before going to tractorpoint.com.<br>

Ken is right, if you put the cursor over an ad and right click, then select properties, you will see the ads come from a whole different (and presumably much faster) server than does TP itself.<br>

But for the record, I have the same thing here, ads come up, then a second later the rest of the forum.<br>

As of this minute, I am running at 2 mbps download speed, which is pretty typical here.<br>

I don't know what engine you have in this tractor, but if this engine has cylinder liners in it, it could have a blown o-ring on it. These liners has 2 to 3 o-rings around them that lets coolant circulate around the liners to keep them cool. If a o-ring goes bad it will allow coolant to drain down into oil pan even if you do not run engine. The way I find which liner is leaking is by removing the oil pan from engine and looking at bottom of cylinders. The one wet or dripping with coolant will be the liner leaking. I hope this is some help to you.

B173 = 173" belt, you can buy one at any autoparts store, picked mine up at Napa, about 1/3 the cost of the dealer price. Just give them the B173 and they can get the belt for you if they don't have it in stock which they didn't when I got mine.

I had a similar problem not too long ago while bush hogging some heavy over grown fields with a lot of dried stalks and weeds. Turns out a stalk got jammed up under the forward pedal and all was well until I tried to reverse. Then the malfunction code started flashing and the tractor would not go forwards or backwards. Deere has a safety feature built into the pedal system that will only allow one pedal to be actuated at a time. If you press both or one is already actuated when you press the other, the system shuts down. After I took a look up under the floor boards, found the stalk jammed under the forward pedal and removed it; all was well. You may also want to check for any wires that may have been torn loose under the tractor. This is a frequent problem if you are in heavy brush and do not have the rental upgrade kit installed.

Okay guys, here's the deal: I lived in Colorado for most of my life, and spent a bunch of time on top, and undernieth an 70's era, 20 HP tractor, mostly doing haying. About a year ago I moved to a new job in Texas and which came with a whole bunch of new equipment, one of which is a 27 HP JD. The 27 HP tractor has hydrostatic trans- which I had never used before- and after spending a little time on it, I started thinking it would do great in snow. Tight turning radius, 4X4, locking diff, However, no cab. But right about now the no cab thing isnt bothering me. So I am doing my time in Texas and have decided when I make back over Raton Pass, I will be towing my own tractor behind me. I'm looking at spending around $15000 for a 25 HP, hydro, 4X4, FEL, with commercial tires. (I realize I will need to spend a little more than that to get a plow on it.) 13 GPM hydraulic pump (for a wood splitter I plan on making) would also be nice, but it's not a must. I don't think JD is the manufactuer for me. (I have alot of there stuff, little problems with everything.) I'm considering Kabota, Kioti, and Yanmar.

Went to an 80th birthday party.
The 3rd one in 3 weeks.
Got about a mile from the party and my Dodge D50 started making a funny noise.
Looked down and the temperature gauge was reading way up on hot almost to the red zone.
Pulled over and checked under the hood.
No broken fan belts or busted water hoses.
No water leaks.
Figured the Thermostat must have stuck shut.
Wife called the party hostess on our cell phone and someone from the party came and took us on to the party.
Hung around at the party for a couple of hours Then the people who came and picked us up took us to AutoZone where I got a new thermostat and a gasket for it.
We went back to the truck and installed it and filled the radiator back up.
Fired the truck up and drove it home without incident.
Works a lot better without a stuck thermostat.
