BTW, the manual pictorial shows the MFWD sensor to be mounted somewhere under the left side of the seat. The code will flash if it's out of calibration.

The first thing I look for when I feel reduced power is a plugged fuel cap vent (due to insects, dirt or debris). If the tank can't breathe it creates a vacuum and won't let fuel flow.

You could go with individual bolt-on teeth too. Cheap way to go.

Another option is a one-piece tooth bar (not sure what to call it or who makes it) but it bolts to the cutting edge, appears to be laser or water-jet cut, and at first clance looks like a toothed rake made from a cutting edge---and one side is chamfered just like a cutting edge. I saw one at the New Holland dealer and one installed on a road grader. The advantage is it doesn't sit higher up in the bucket and doesn't require another memeber to stiffen it other than the bucket's cutting edge.

Credit cards work wonders. :) - Unverferth does not have any metric 8-loops. Or none in my size anyways. They had 24 1/4" across but mine were like 23 3/4." The other alternative was to order a blank rim and cut and weld my old bolt tabs (not really a loop) to the blank rim. Estimates for that were $560+ being it is time consuming. The few shops I checked with were not jumping to do the work as this is the busy season. I had ordered the 6-loop conversion disc from them but had to return it, again because it was metric. oh yeah... tires are shot too, so add the cost up there.

You say "fill in the hole". How big is this hole? A basement? If yes, there are codes in most areas that dictate if you have to remove the basement walls fully or collapse them at least 48" below grade (around here anyway).

Backfilling include fill dirt too? That can really add up too depending where you live (read: several thousand $).

Does your excavator have general liability insurance AND specifically demolition coverage? Just because he has "insurance" doesn't mean he (read: you) are covered. I carry 2.3 million in coverage and I'm only a one-man- show. If I were to "step foot" on the county's international airport to do any kind of work, I would need a minimum of 5.3 million.

Something to think about: I pulled a permit to demolish a one-story home with an attached garage. The permit office didn't their job and wrongly assumed the gas had been cut. I found out quickly that the gas was still on! I had the gas co. come out. They didn't turn it off at the main like they were suppose to. Instead they turned it off at the meter which was held up by a few remaining wall boards, and took the meter and put a plastic cap on the line. These dummies tell me "work around it". I did, and nothing happened. BUT two weeks AFTER the house was torn down I drove by and saw the gas company there again this time with a backhoe there to remove the line and disconnect it from the 12" main. As I watched them, they pulled the copper line from the main! That wasn't too bad, they plugged it and no big deal. Two weeks after that I get a bill for $435 for "damaging their meter". Man, I fought that tooth-and-nail! Long story short, the gas company attorney got involved and I told them what happened. He said "forget about it. Case closed". The workers were too lazy to do the job to begin with BEFORE I demoed the house so they had to cover their butts.

I suspect the point of where the PTO slip clutch (if so equipped) mounts to the gear box is either stripped or the key sheared or is missing. Or if it is equipped with only a shear pin (no clutch) it is sheared or missing. In either case there seems to be just enough bind on the shaft to make some friction until it meets resistance when asked to till.

I do a combination of Murf and greg's suggestion. I use compressed air at the tank filler and crack one or two fittings at the injectors. Starts up nearly instanlty every time. This even works on the Dodge Cummins system too.

Murf, it is my guess you don't scalp the grass either in your mowing. A lot of homeowners here like their grass short, which tends to let weed seeds sprout very easy. Most have no idea at what height their variety of grass does best. Matter of fact some lawnmowers tend to not have sufficient high setting for some grasses. kt

I know this is more than what you are looking for but I have a PJ 14000GVW dump trailer, 96" deck over dump, 8x14, drop down sides, loading ramps store underneath, D hooks inside on walls, powdercoat finish. I looked at many other brand dump trailers this is the best made dump trailer I could find. Hauls my JD4100 with 410 loader very well. I have used it to haul about 300 tons of fill so far. I could not be happier with this setup. Face hurts from smiling, trying to pretent this is work.

So I am now the proud owner of a B7800HSD, with 72" belly mount mower and a snowblower, (required here in Canada):). Spent 4 hours breaking it in doing the lawn last weekend. Great unit and easy to handle, although I found the control for the mid pto to be stubborn at times. You need to engage the clutch a bit, roll forward and then pop the pto lever in place as you push in the clutch. I'll be asking the dealer about this- wondering if anyone else has the same issue. Also surprised at the rpm recommendation of 2500 for operation. Seems high, as we have a B21 at work and it is lower. The manual suggests that there is a break in period and says not to run the unit at that high rpm initially, but offers no guidance on what is appropriate. I have been staying around 1900-2100- any ideas out there?

Speaking of a dog in the truck---the other day while waiting a week to have the Dodge repaired, I had a rental '07 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My neighbor who owns a restaurant came home with an industrial-sized portion of handmade cherry cheesecake. Yummmmm. So the kids put it in the Jeep. The door was open so the kids left it open. Minutes later his dog ate it making a freakin' mess inside. Me and the dog aren't the best o' friends right now.
