When I try order parts I put in the model and serial number and then it asks if my tractor is a 1B065G and before or is it a 1B075G and after. I don"t see these numbers listed any where in the operators manual. How do I find out which my tractor is?

I just purchased this tractor over the weekend. The owner said the shifting fork was bent not letting it engage into gear. I asked how this happens and he said from not making adjustments in the linkage and forcing it into gear. Is this true?. And if so, how hard is it to replace the shifting fork. This tractor has 1300 hours on it, runs very well and loader and backhoe operate very well. I only paid $2500.00 for everything so i thought it would be a good investment. I just ordered the parts manual and service manual for it today. Is this something i could tackle or should i send it to the dealership. Thanks in advance for any input. :)

One thing in my favor is I do have a virtually brand new finish mower that I can sell to cover some/most of the cost of the MMM. Maybe I'll see if the dealer will take a trade...

I was mowing my field and wire tangled my mower deck, stalling my tractor. I disconected the PTO and removed the wire. Now my tractor engine cycles, with the normal smoke I usually see when starting but it never starts.:-( This is a three cylinder deisel

Frank the term for the machine they used was a "material handler". They used to be called "all-terrain forklifts" years ago. They're as versatile as a skid steer in some settings. Some manufacturers have smaller sized versions that are useful around the farm for lifting/handling round bales.

I don't have an answer for you but along those lines---it really gets me when I see a hp spread across a tracotr line in two or three hp increments. It boggles my mind that it would seem anyway that it would more cost-effective to have only one hp (assuming the highest hp) per model.

Bill, is there an Agri Supply store near you? Will you be using the tiller much? I have purchsed from Agri Supply a good bit and they stand behind what they sell as good or better than any other company I have ever dealt with. If they have not changed, Agri Supply will refund your total cost if you try the piece and are not pleased with it. They did that for me on a flail mower. Not sure the brand now. The mower worked fine, just did not like the finish it left.<br>

I am sure there are those who do well with farm equipment auctions and those in my area may be totally different than the ones there but one word comes to my mind with auctions: JUNK. Most of what I have ever seen at a local auction is worn out or outdated or such. Hey if you have found something at a good price or in good shape great for you. But what good I have seen there I could buy for less price at a dealership.<br>

Depending on the way the auction is done, be sure you are bidding on the piece you think you are. I am sure there are honest auctions companies but be on the watch for bidding against yourself or against someone for the seller or auction company. Sometimes you can not know this depending on the sixe of the auction.<br>

Yes I still read auction flyers and do visit their sites and sometimes make an auction. Just know what some of them are. kt

In order to buy from Unverferth you must have an account with them or use an Unverferth Dealer. They do not sale to the general public over the phone/net. You don�t necessary have to be in the equipment business to be a dealer but, they do require that you be in the service parts/repair field (Tire dealer/Shop) and have a tax ID number to buy from them. I guess one could argue over if this makes you a dealer but, you are set-up to buy from them.

You are correct about the TC30. I didn�t mean to imply that the TC30 was considered a Boomer because it is not. A better choice of words would have been All Boomer and TC30. My point was to clearify that they share the bolt pattern.

NH basically brought back the line because of Market demand for a lower cost unit in that HP range. The Boomer�s of that HP range did have and economy model for several years but, it was still over priced and didn�t meet the Market demand so, the econ models were replaced by the TC30 but they (TC30) are not marketed as Boomers.

Look for more of the same thing from all the manufactures in the future. There are increasing markets for more cost effective (plain/no thrills) tractors. The Big boys are having to deal with the cheaper imports. Deere is doing the same thing with their 03 series and NH with there TTA series.

I have back problems and I use a back reast cushion that covers the entire seat with lumbard support, I got it at a drug store, it helps me, it might do the trick for you. I will add about 3 inches to the back rest.

It is true that multiple refining processes (hydrocracking) move mineral oils into the "synthetic" category. There are differences in synthetics though.<br>

Advanced hydrocracking of mineral oils yields a Class 3 oil. Typical Off the shelf oils are a class 2. Others, such as Amsoil, are a class 4 oil. The base oil is developed from the ground up. There are also class 5 oils as well, but usually are a specific application oil used for only one purpose.<br>
<br>
The quality of the oil (ie. shear resistance, thermal breakdown, etc) goes up with each class. Class 4 has properties that are better than 3.<br>
<br>
Class 3 synthetics are good oils. Class 4 synthetics are better. It all depends on what you are wanting. Class 4 oils will perform over a broader range better than 3 and protect better. Engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and gears will run a little cooler and exhibit less wear with a class 4 over a 3 just as the same will occur with a class 3 over a class 2. Of course, the cost goes up with each class.<br>
<br>
Each has his own idea of what they want to use. Whatever fits in your comfort level and what you want to spend. I prefer Amsoil in everything I use, but I won't criticize anyone for using another.<br>
<br>
Most of the Amsoil diesel oils have a TBN of 12+. The specs are listed for each oil on their site.

I have a JD4410 with about 300 hours. Never had a problem until today. Was working today on the tractor mowing weeds and someone came up to talk to me. I turned off the engine to hear him. When I tried to turn the engine back on I heard a click and then nothing. When I turn the ignition switch the fuel and temperature needles move, but the starter does not turn over. No sounds. I removed the fuse box, all fuses are OK. I noticed that the relay switch in the fuse box for the starter buzzes when I turn the ignition. I check all the wiring all looks OK. I will try to purchase a new relay switch tomorrow and see if that fixes it. Any other suggestions will be helpful.

Thanks, I've been pleased with my DK 35. It has a faily wide stance, and my rear tires (R-4's)are loaded, so the stability seems good.
